Popped in on a weekday morning as I’d heard there was a display of photos of Pete Burns. I really liked the interior & the general vibe. The decor is full of Scouse icons from the 60s onwards & this would be an interesting spot for a drink …
Staff were so friendly and coffee is good. Read the cafe’s backstory in the menu if you get a chance, it makes the place feel even more welcoming.

I love Ian and his margaritas- secret diner (btw it’s usually full to the top I just had to drink it)
Tabac Cafe, a Liverpool institute. I stopped for coffee and a toasted bacon butty. Friendly staff. I was told there was a wait for food as they were very busy, but my bacon butty arrived quickly. Plenty of freshly grilled bacon. Great atmosphere. Good value too. Worth stopping by if in Bold Street.

On reflection we kinda knew this place wasn’t going to be worth it for us.
My daughter and partner went to toilets on arriving and came back complaining they were dirty and dingy. But we thought we’re here so we stuck it out. …
Breakfast: The food is delicious here. I had a full English (£10.95) cooked to perfection. The staff are very nice. I’m happy I came. Nice music. Recommend. Service can be a little slow. You know how service oriented we Americans are.!
