Stumbled on this little gem! It has a really cool atmosphere, the staff is very friendly and the food and tea was lovely! I had the roasted tomato soup and the berry tea. So good! We are only visiting for a short while, but would definitely come back here. I very much recommend this place to anyone in the area! And the prices were great! Thanks for the lovely experience!

When the food arrived we noted how well cooked each of the individual elements of the breakfast was. The egg was perfect with no browning on the white and a runny yolk, the black pudding was shallow fried just right with no crunchy exterior and the sausage and bacon was also cooked well. The thick toast came buttered and was ideal to mop up the sauce from the beans. The mushrooms were sent a few minutes after, we didn’t even realise until that point. Mrs Nom unfortunately felt the pancakes were bought in scotch versions; however she seemed to enjoy them anyway.

This meal hit the spot, not perfect but very good for the price, a calm atmosphere and friendly service, this quiet little sanctuary could well become a regular stop for me.

This place has an amazing rustic feel and a great use of space along, Thanks too decor and atmosphere you find it very enjoyable and easy to relax. The staff were really friendly and polite they sound real and enjoyable instead of a mechanical scripted waiter or waitress in other restaurants this really help you relax and relax in the in The Brink and really improves your overall experience. The Food was amazing vaule for money, My friend and I order Afternoon tea and was not disappointed it only cost £12.50 and cane with cocktails and came which fruit bored and dipping chocolate as well as the basic afternoon tea menu. The Brink is a non-alcoholic establishment this does not stop them from delivering fresh and flavoursome cocktails which I must recommend too all who visit. The wide selection of cakes and sandwiches available made is really enjoyable and never done to the pallet the presentation of all the Platters was superb and seem to follow a set theme the overall experience of the afternoon tea was really enjoy your love and great value for money. Overall The Brink is an amazing establishment with great value for money, the food is made fresh to order and the willingness of the staff to proved great service really does make this a nice place to eat and I strongly suggest visiting this place.

Great spot for breakfast. Great value for money and friendly staff. The egg and bacon sandwich had thick toast and perfectly cooked egg and bacon. We will visit again on our next trip.

Backstory: My husband and I were looking for a place to grab afternoon tea, and despite the Brink not appearing during my search for "afternoon tea" on Yelp, we discovered it nonetheless. Most important to us in choosing the Brink is this note from their website: "The Brink is a community interest company (CIC) owned by the charity Action on Addiction, and was established to support people recovering from addiction as well as to provide benefit to the sider community by offering a vibrant, healthy alternative to the prevailing culture of harmful drug and alcohol consumption. Any surplus funds are redirected to support addiction recovery and family support in the Liverpool community." We arrived at quarter past twelve and ordered our tea. It was well priced at 8.95GBP per person and waitstaff were welcoming and helpful. Although online your choices are presented as English tea or house coffee, we were offered a variety of other teas from which to choose. We chose the English tea and it was delicious. We were given the daily special tea sandwiches of chicken and garlic mayo, cheese and red onion, and hummus and rocket (arugula), all of which were tasty. Finally, the scones and pastries were divine. I cannot recommend the Brink enough for afternoon tea, and I would assume the rest of their food and drinks would be just as delicious!

Came looking for a breakfast. Found a gem. One of the only places like it I have found in the UK. All the food is prepared fresh. It's a place for raw, vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, omnivore, and alcohol free. Food was fantastic, atmosphere was pleasant, and the staff super friendly. Glad I found this spot, now go give it a try yourself.

I really liked this place. I don't drink so I've been having a rough time finding a place where I can hang out and enjoy myself and watch a match without going to a pub. The Brink offered all that I was looking for. They have cakes, coffees, teas, mocktails, small plates, and full dishes. The place offers a wonderful environment for studying, meeting friends, having a group meal, or watching the game. I went on a Saturday evening to have a cake and tea and watch the Liv match. There were a number of other groups there doing the same, though the place was not crowded like you'd expect at a pub or sports bar. I also understand they have live performances and other events on a regular basis. I also really love their mission statement to help those affected by alcohol addiction. So now you can enjoy yourself and have a good eat while contributing to a worthy cause!

This is my one of my favourite places in Liverpool. The Brink is tucked away on Parr Street. When you enter, you're struck by the trendy, lofty decor, and the homley vibe from the place. Having been for drinks, they're all really good, especially the cocktails! Drinks are really well priced, much less than a starbucks etc, and much nicer. All are made with fresh fruit/veg etc, which is sourced locally. I've only eaten there once, but again, it was fantastic. It was about £7 for a meal. I had fish and chips. The fish was well battered, flakey and really delicious! The staff are all lovely, and really do make this place what it is. An absolute gem, and the first place I take visitors to our fine city.

This is one of the most amazing cafe/restaurants I've ever been to. It has amazing food, great music and non-alcohol cocktails to die for. And, it is a place for people in recovery (i.e. alcoholics looking for somewhere cool to hang out) and I've never seen anything like it. If you're in Liverpool go and eat something there. I just had a Thai curry there and it was better than anything I've had in years...and you don't need to have anything to do with addiction or recovery to appreciate it. I was in Liverpool for about 4 days and I went to the Brink each day to eat, drink, appreciate the awesome sounds and work on my laptop. I can't recommend it highly enough. The photos below were added in 2019 and are of wooden panels on their walls.

This place is stunning. I was so happy to find a dry bar in Liverpool. The staff is amazing, the vibe is one of love and unity, and the coffee is spectacular. I hung out here for hours getting work done and enjoying the atmosphere.

Excellent service! I went there late to get a warm drink because it was freezing, and the guy at the bar was super nice. The food area was already closed but the hot cocoa was amazing! (There's free wifi fyi)

Amazing food that supports an amazing cause. They are a social enterprise that helps former drug addicts straighten out their lives. Proceeds of the food you buy contributes to providing free coffee to the homeless. Was once visited by the Duchess, Kate Middleton
