Perfect for watching football and one of the best pubs in the commercial district. The drinks are reasonably priced, and their are regular offers on cocktails, too. Great live music.

Wonderful selection of real ales. When I arrived I was greeted with super friendly service which made me feel really welcome!
Massive shout out to the Romanian barmaid who was absolutely lovely. She served me with such a beaming smile, I will definitely be coming back!

The service was absolutely amazing. The beer and ale were great. Thank you so much for the great time to the amazing bar tender who recommended great ale and thought us a lot about England. Highly recommend this place. We will definitely come back whenever we have the chance.

We held our weekly craft beer club here 31/08/23. So our rating is compared against other craft ale bars in Liverpool and Chester.
8/10 rating (5 for the Google review because these places are all a 10 in my eyes).
Pros
- Good selection of craft beers and your usual Guinness/Staropramen.
- Nice decor.
- Knowledgeable service.
Cons
- No cash payments.
- Could link to untappd.
- The tables were too high for the seats.
- Couldn't get half pints only 1/3 or 2/3.

A nice chilled place for a beer. Usually has a good mix of cask (not on my visit) and draught beer available, plus a decent selection of spirits.

What a great bar. Some really great beers on the kegs and a very nice atmosphere inside. The staff were all amazing although that could be because they all wanted to fuss the dogs!! Obviously dog friendly! Did I mention the great beer…?!

Came here to watch the first wales euros game and asked if the music would be switched off so we could listen to the commentary and national anthems and were told no, there were a few in the bar to see the game, left at half time to go next door to rose and crown which had tv volume on and others followed. Very disappointed as they advertised showing the games. Apart from this the bar is lovely and the beer is spot on. Just ended up with a divvy bar tender. Female who worked there and brought our drinks was lovely.
