Deeside Cafe Bistro

What a fantastic cafe!! Amazing food friendly and welcoming staff, fantastic coffee! Also very family friendly. Yet the most amazing feature is the view alongside the river! There is no parking and it is cash only! Nearest cash point is near the spar shop! Toilets available. Would highly recommend!

We were amazed by the outstanding service, the staff managed to rearrange tables to secure us seating for 5 and served us very quickly since we had let them know we had a train to catch. Portion sizes fabulous and prices extremely reasonable. I had a lamb baguette from the specials and it was very tasty- everyone else enjoyed all theirs too but we struggled to polish off the plates due to generosity of serving sizes!! Fantastic choice and great venue with a cracking view of the river by the window seats. Only thing is that it was cash only !!! If my parents weren’t there with their wallets and emergency funds, would’ve been an issue

We have been coming to Llangollen for a few years now, and this is the only cafe/ bistro we go to while here! We have been staying in a nearby B&B this week and have been going to The Deeside for cream teas and dinner every day this week! The food is always fresh and tastes amazing. The staff have been friendly chatty and helpful. There is a large selection of food and drinks available, and the staff are always happy to make recommendations. This place is dog friendly, with the staff sitting you appropriately to keep some distance between the dogs so everyone can enjoy the atmosphere. The staff asked before interacting with our dog (he is young and fine with other dogs and people), but it was great they asked and even gave him some biscuits when we were paying fir his good behaviour. Everything is reasonably priced and has great value for money. We can't wait to go back!

This is a lovely stop to refuel and recharge. A favourite with locals and tourists alike. This is honest, hearty food, prepared well and it hits the spot. It has a homely feel and the staff make you feel very welcome. I had the minted lamb baguette served with a salad, chips and coleslaw, and it hit the spot. It was comforting, 'feel good' food. You knew what you are getting when you order it, and when it arrives exactly as you imagine it, that satisfaction and happiness from the flavours you've been craving really intensifies the experience.
