The moment you set foot in the Savoy it's inevitable you're transported into a world of glamour, luxury and fine-cuisine. A delusion of grandeur in itself, the restaurant is decorated in an opulent manner. Being a fish restaurant, Kasper's as a fantastic menu and the dishes were tasty and beautifully presented. The service was very formal but charming and lovely. End the evening at the Savoy's American Bar and you'll have a great experience.
booked a table well in advance as I had this restaurant recommended to me as one of the best locations in London for lobster. The restaurant location could not be better. You will be taken away by the Savoy, and there are a couple bars to get drinks after your meal. The lobster did not disappoint, and the service was excellent!
Bit OTT, however a quality experience in every way. Also excellent value on the pre dinner set menu. Fish was fresh and excellent. Service very professional. Book a window table overlooking the Thames.
A new addition to the Savoy following the refurbishment, I hadn’t had the chance to eat at Kaspar’s. So I was delighted to be invited there on my recent stay. Although it lacks the formality of the old Grill, it has the kind of straightforward menu with extras that I think works particularly well in hotel restaurants. For many people, if they are dining in the hotel where they are staying it is to escape from a round of business entertaining or socialising – so, it’s always good to have a restaurant which provides perfectly prepared, light and fresh dishes. One just like Kaspar’s…
This restaurant is beautifully designed and has a wonderful ambiance. The food was fantastic and very tasty. It was my mothers birthday and so we ordered a cake, the cake was delightful and very rich. I would definitely return.
It was my beautiful friend Abigail’s birthday (whom you might recognise from my recent Spanish adventures) not long ago, so I decided to treat her to a lavish birthday dinner to celebrate at none other than Kaspar’s Seafood Bar & Grill at the regal Savoy hotel. Bookatable seems to have a continuous stream of amazing value offers going of late, enabling us ordinary folk to dine at plush & expensive restaurants for a fraction of the usual cost.
Using the Bookatable Star Deals, my husband and I had an exquisite meal at Kaspar's. My mushroom starter was truly memorable, and my husband felt his Starter was a very generous portion. For our main meals we had the Gnocchi and Bass. Again, both were cooked and served to perfection. Further, our desserts were excellent too. We had thought Kaspar's would have a better view of the River Thames and were a bit disappointed that we couldn't see more of London's monuments as we dined. A full review with tons of pictures is on my blog, Sunny in London.
One the first fine Sunday of 2015 I had a breakfast date at Kaspar’s located inside The Savoy Hotel in London. When doing my google search to find hotels that offered a great gluten free breakfast, lunch or dinner, I stumbled on the menu for the gluten free breakfast at The Savoy and I was totally impressed. Three words – Gluten Free Pancakes!
I chose a cured fish platter with Gravlax and citrus cured sea bass. The bread on the side was delicious and spongy, the perfect accompaniment for my fish starter! I'm still on my bride-to-be diet so I'm keeping cheat days to a minimum and this was a great healthy option. Fortunately, champagne is on the bride-to-be diet and three glasses went down quite nicely! We regretted not getting a bottle...

There was a wide range of dishes to appease all taste. The venue was sophisticated and the service was incredibly friendly and attentive.
Our team in work had a breakfast there for a birthday. It's an extremely impressive dining room, with a nice view over the Thames and the lobby through which you pass into the dining room is lavish and stately. The food is really good - can recommend the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, with unlimited grapefruit juice, coffee, teas and toast. Only slight issue was the service was pretty slow considering the place/price and it wasn't even that full. Either way, a nice change from the norm
Loved it! didnt have much expectation after going to some "famous" restaurants with disappointments. Kaspar's has impressed me. Thoroughly enjoyed the dinner, I went with the set menu which was absolutely a bargain. I had the best tuna tartar ever, the brill was soft and smooth, nicely favoured. Dessert was good, nothing really special about it but the starter and main had totally stole my heart. Calling in again this week!
Came here for my brother's birthday lunch and we weren't disappointed at all. The service first of all was excellent. Roberto made us all feel extremely welcome as soon as we arrived.
The food was superb. We started with the best of the seas, which was a seafood platter. I had the lobster linguine for my main which was excellent, flavourful and generously portioned. We had a birthday cake ordered which was comprised of strawberry mousse, cream, fresh berries and a pastry base. Much better than other patisserie I've had cake from.
The ambience is classy as you would expect from a restaurant in a 5 star hotel. I've been to the Savoy grill as well and would say that Kaspar's edges it. If you can only go to one, although both are great, Kaspar's would have to be my recommendation.
This is a real cosy place fantastic for an afternoon drink, to savour some appetizers or to have a classic, tasty British dinner (i.e. steaks, fresh fish, phaesant, foie gras, etc.) The bar is staffed with highly skilled, friendly and service-oriented personnel and offers delicious cocktails, sweet wines (we tried one from Hungary - amazing!!) and Champagne. Highly recommend!
Went there with the family to celebrate a special occasion. Didn't disappointed at all! Beautiful environment, delicious food, friendly staff making the whole dining experience a real pleasure!
My husband & I had the most perfect date night at Savoy London: dinner at Kaspar’s followed by drinks and dessert at Thames Foyer (while listening to amazing live jazz musicians). It was magical in all aspects: history, beauty, food quality, atmosphere and service. And the music! We split a few dishes, including the Best of the Seas seafood appetizer, lobster bisque, Irish black angus beef fillet and the most amazing dessert (they even wrote my name on it!!): a pastry called Paris-London which has homemade praline and chocolate mousse. Simply unforgettable. Highly recommend this place to visitors and locals alike. Can’t wait to return! P.S. Our server Rosaria (shout out to Rosaria!) even brought the statue of Kaspar the cat to our table for a little while (and told us the legend that goes with it!) P.P.S. Extra thanks to the whole staff (Aurelia, Alden, Patrick and Rosaria), they made us feel so welcome!
Don’t be intimidated by the location it is a fantastic restaurant, with friendly staff were happy to explain the food and drink menu. I have been many times and have loved the service and food, it’s at the savoy hotel with views over the river Thames what a wonderful place we great air-conditioning on a hot day. You can get 3 courses for around £50 what is not to like.
Simply delicious. Everything about our visit was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.
It was a perfect start our evening and we will be going back.
Fine dinning with a personal touch...
Took my partner here for his birthday and the food was amazing as was the ambience
Saving up to stay over one day.. Loved it
Delishious!! Very plush interior, waiters are well schooled in every dish. I recommend the crab and prawn canneloni. The cocktails are fab too. Booking essential! Tip: try the American bar afterwards for a famous drink or too.
