Lovely place for coffee. Staff is very friendly and polite. They have excellent pastries and coffee is perfect. Maybe you'll have to queue up for coffee, but it's definitely worth it.
Monmouth coffee is currently my favourite non instant coffee. Great strong taste? How coffee should be.
This one is situated within the bustling borough market. You can either drink in or get a takeaway cup. When we went they provided re-usable cups for £5 deposit. You get that back after returning the cups. Handy if you want to walk around the market whilst sipping on the coffee.
After savoring a delightful cup of flat white, I noticed its intriguing acidic undertones, which added a refreshing touch to the overall experience. The coffee shop exuded an unmistakable aura of authenticity, creating a warm and inviting ambiance that further enhanced my visit. Additionally, the attentive cashier took the initiative to share information about their sustainable coffee mugs, emphasizing their commitment to environmentally conscious practices. It was truly a gratifying and informative encounter that left a positive impression on me.
Best place for coffee in Borough Market. It's difficult to get a seat because it's so crowded but they do have counters so you can stand and perch your coffee. I had an iced latte and almond croissant, both excellent. I've been there many times over the years and now that I live within walking distance, I get to drink their excellent coffee on a regular basis. You can also buy their coffee beans to take home and other coffee making products.
Almost lost to Londoners but a gift to tourists. Was present at the start of London's coffee evolution, but the perennially long queue makes it hard to get a reminder of that. The wafting smell of newly ground beans, the accommodating service, and excellent coffee are compensation, though. Enjoy the interior, and the sounds from the market, and don't bother with a laptop.
Very cool idea for helping save the planet. You have to purchase a cup or pay a deposit for a ceramic cup to get your coffee. The charge is given back when you return the cup. The coffee is average but the service and cause are worth it. There are way too many variations of coffee drinks for my little brain hahaha. Place is packed and there will be a line. I say check it out.
Obviously the coffee is the star here. A great choice and we'll informed staff who are happy to recommend and educate you.
A little respite amongst the hustle and bustle of Borough market.
Fairly priced based on location and quality of product.
The pastry was a little dry.
I’ve always loved the coffee at Monmouth. This one in the busy Borough market is the best around. The staff are always friendly and smiling. They operate a reuseable cup scheme for takeaway coffees which is great. You can also buy various pastries, treats and coffee beans.
Nice filter coffee! £3.8 for one filter coffee, it’s a little bit pricy but defo worth a try! The cafe has good vibe but a bit small, so you may need to stand up to drink ur coffee in the counter. There is only one big table in the middle of the cafe.
Great specialty coffee and wide range of coffee beans! Monmouth is pretty well-known in London for their coffee. For takeaways, customers need to deposit a £5 reusable Monmouth cup as a vessel for their coffee and drinks.
They have a wide range of coffee sourced from around the globe. Brewed coffee from Monmouth is a hit or miss, on a couple of my visits, the coffee didn’t taste the same as it was (even when they use the same beans and brewing method). Regardless of that, Monmouth is a recommended spot for coffee enthusiasts to stop by, though queues may be expected most of the time.
