Really loved this! We had the tasting menu, which ended with the best dessert I have ever tasted (pain perdu made from house-made brioche with tonka bean ice cream - SO GOOD!). Service was faultless and the atmosphere was cosy and not stuffy at all. We will definitely be back.

This restaurant was brought to my attention by a social news article I was reading in which it received great reviews. Being one for trying out new venues and feeling rather adventurous, I decided to book a table for a date night. The dining rooms are clean and tastefully decorated and I felt a friendly, relaxed vibe. The service was just right, we received just the right amount of attention from our waitress so as to keep the interruptions to a minimum. Both of us enjoyed our respective meals, which were delicious, and we found it rather novel that the roast potatoes were served as cubes. I would definitely consider returning and can highly recommend.

One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time! I went with my family for a graduation celebration, and they were so generous, they even gave a hand written card from the entire staff! The food was fantastic, from the small bites, the fresh salad, the lush pasta, and the stellar desserts - everything was amazing. Truly one of the best restaurants in London. I absolutely recommend getting the pipe rigate, we ended up ordering two additional portions since it was so spectacular!

Reserved in advance - the only place available was the tears, luckily they had place inside, the erase doesn't look inviting and it was windy.
Service was OK, but could have been more attentive.
The ambiance is relaxed.
The food was tasty with well balanced tastes.
Presentation was nice but not spectacular.
Nice choice of wine by the glass as well as many bottles.
Really enjoyed my fish dish and the pain perdu dessert was good.

I’d give The Ninth six stars if I could! Exceeded expectations on all fronts - we went for a set lunch menu which was surprisingly affordable for such good quality. The cured sea trout appetiser was stand out for me, but flavours of every course were incredibly considered. Staff were wonderfully attentive, not imposing but happy to help and explain options when needed. Will definitely return again.

Food and service were both excellent. Between us we had starters of asparagus and sea trout and they were so fresh and were a work of art on their own. The lunch menu was very decently priced for a one star Michelin restaurant. Would definitely recommend.

Went for the Amex dinner. The food was ace. The crab tart amuse bouche was delicious but definitely on the saltier side. That dessert was out of this world. My friend was celiac so I get to have the whole thing on my own and loved every bite of it.
The wine list wasn’t great but may be they had another one for a non-set-dinner night?
But will go back just for the food!

My favourite London restaurant. Set over several floors in a beautiful old Bloomsbury town house, it's always busy but the staff are charming and the service is attentive. The food is designed for sharing, and you'll want to try a bit of everything. Stand out dishes on this visit were the venison tartare, rabbit pasta and pain perdu.
