This is the best coffee in London. Go there and get a flat white, and buy 500g of their house blend beans to take home with you! It's delicious.

One of the first and still few outlets in the whole of London doing flat whites correctly. Perfect flavour, perfect strength and velvety smooth. Praise be 🙏🏼

I used to think that coffee shops were boring.  As it is becoming increasingly common as I mature, I was proved wrong. I have learnt that sitting in a coffee shop, you can observe many interesting things.  You might see the parade of people hurrying by in the morning for their caffeine fix.  Alternatively, perhaps you might glimpse those settling down for a solo coffee break amongst the busyness of the day.  Or perhaps if you are especially lucky, you might see, but not understand, the beginnings of a multimillion deal or a lifelong friendship starting over a debate about the merits of a flat white versus a latte.

One of my favourite spots for coffee in London. If the queues were shorter, I would probably rate it higher. I keep going back for the great coffee though! ...

The drip coffee was amazing. You can taste the subtle notes from the beans. The roast was spot on. Just enough to enhance the flavour of the colombian beans.

One of the best coffee I have tried especially the manual brew with the light roasted Ethiopian beans. The ham pastry is recommended to try.

After searching from one coffee shop to another, finally found coffee that I can personally call as "good coffee". Though it didn't taste as 'rich' and thick as I've expected, but it's way better than other coffee shops that I have tried in London, so far.

Ok so I went here one time and it was insane. Deadass this place is batshit insane and crazy. Great coffee -- employees seem qualified and personable. Great place to catch up with an old friend. Try the pineapple smoothie but ask for it with coconut milk instead of whole milk. And if they're feeling generous they might even sprinkle some chia seeds in. Literally that smoothie literally saved my life so many times

Monmouth Coffee offers the ideal coffee drinking experience, which for me means good coffee, a solid pastry, and also the opportunity to meet people. While this homely and cozy location is small, it seems to be really popular with the locals so space can fill up quickly. Being that it's also not too far from The British Museum and National Gallery, it's an ideal spot to get your caffeine fix before heading into either. I had a smooth warm latte as well as the best brioche I've ever had - a deceptively soft ball of bread with the right amount of hard sugar sprinkled on top. I was also seated in a table that was a community table and encouraged talking to strangers. Coincidentally, this was the morning Brexit was supposed to take place so it was very much on the minds of the strangers and soon to be friends I was seated with. We had a good and civil conversation about it with all points of view represented and I found it to be a enlightening experience that I feel wouldn't have happened had I not walked into Monmouth. The best souvenirs and memories you can take with you are such moments.

Best Coffee in London. Few snacks offered like truffles, croissants or pain aux raisin breads. Very Limited seating. May have to share if you are seated in a large booth as the seating is communal. Most people take their coffee to-go. You can also buy their whole beans or ground for your own brewing pleasure :-) The lines can get long but they move fast.

Delicious coffee with friendly staff. The store was much smaller than anticipated, but we managed to grab a shared table in the back. Due to its lack in size, I did feel as I had to rush when making my order. I am not so accustomed to sharing table, but it was a great experience and we sat with a very pleasant German couple. It was also quite nice to sit as they provide you with water as you sit and enjoy your coffee! We got two lattes, an almond croissant, and a chocolate croissant. The lattes were great, but the croissants were not the best I've had--a bit on the dry side! Overall, great place, would come back for the coffee!

One of the best coffee shops we've been to because of their exceptional coffee offerings. Some coffee shops, you go to for the ambiance plus taste. While ambiance is important, when we travel, taste ranks way higher when picking coffee shops to visit. Monmouth ranks high in our top list for taste and quality beans. This location is small and had a line out the door. Friendly and knowledgeable baristas. We got 2 coffees, an Indonesian and Ethiopian, plus a bag of the Indonesian. Wish we had gotten more beans because the coffees were excellent. Descriptions of the beans and sourcing was included in our purchase, which we loved reading about. Highly recommend and would definitely return!

Love this place. Got some coffee beans for my boo and I would recommend it. Only sad thing is they don't make any coffee there with plant based milk. #bummer.

No mochas but they will throw a truffle in your flat white et voila! Great service, fast. The financier was delightful, though it was a tiny little thing, it was packed with flavour. The atmosphere is hip. The street it sits upon has plenty of little shops to peruse while you sip on your fancy coffee. The coffee is delicious, they have pour over, and they sell bags of their wonderful beans so you can make your own brew at home.

As a tourist, you know you've done well with choosing a coffee place when our local London private tour guide asked how I knew to go to Monmouth for my morning coffee. On our first morning in London, we walked through Soho to the border of Covent Gardens on Monmouth Street to get my caffeine fix. The narrow space has a counter for take away and a small seating toward the back. I arrived on a busy Friday morning when the regulars were lining up for their morning coffee. They're definitely known for their flat whites and cappuccinos...a quick tip for Americans, they have whole milk only and if you are looking for a cafe au lait, it will take a bit of effort explaining it because they just don't do it this way in the UK. Remember to order your coffee for take away...if you ask for it "to go" you will surely be looked at a bit strangely. The counter staff here were super nice. We tried paying with a $10 British pound bill that apparently had been retired and replaced with new currency...so imagine how embarrassing that was when the gentleman asked if he could help us with our payment?! The croissant and brioche looked delicious. Several patrons took some for take away. I was so pleased with my coffee the first morning that I returned on our last day there...having tried other coffee shops on the days between, it became readily apparent that this is some of the best coffee in London and I now know why our tour guide had reacted the way she did when I told her I was grabbing a coffee for take away just like a local!

Excellent coffee shop offering beans from all over the world. Friendly staff. Freshly made coffee. Surprisingly, though, opens at 8 am. Would be nice if it opened earlier.

Amazing cozy Cafe. The coffee were fantastic, some of the best coffee we've had on Europe. The pastries were also very nice. Each one that we tried was perfect. I really enjoyed my iced filtered coffee. The seating inside is nice but it's very busy and noisy inside so wouldn't really recommend.

Smart strategy as a roaster. ROI per square feet of space is probably one of the best I have ever seen in major city! Flat white is superbly crafted, well-balanced and the taste is unforgettable! Probably, one of the best cafe in London - delightful, pleasant and with great coffee experience.

Had the regular flat white. It was great due to the great balance between the coffee aroma and the milk. There are many desserts, but I didn’t get the chance to try them. I would do so next time.

We had a cappuccino and latte and they are smooth and scented. The shop is pretty small with a few seats inside and may be 6 tables outside. You cannot wait inside at all to pick up your coffee as it takes time and is crowded. No decoration with just basic wood desk and chairs. Be prepared to wait because this is so popular. Another branch near Borough market looks better with more 'design' and bigger if you are over that side. This one is just handy near convent garden. If you cannot wait, there are other coffee shops on the same street.

I ordered a flat white and a cappuccino. The coffee was simply outstanding, with a perfect balance of flavors. I also appreciated their eco-conscious approach, encouraging customers to bring their own cups for takeaways, which is a small but commendable step towards sustainability.

coffee is the best!!! only thing lacking is the lack of space as most seats ( very few seating occupancy) are taken up all the time. nevertheless the service is quick and prompt at all times. My coffee place each time I am here in London. 👍👍

Popularity causes chaos? Or just bad branch set up? Interesting set up in this branch of ordering then your order is shouted across to the baristas in the back. My order was forgotten so I had to repeat it to the barista at the back anyway. On a positive note, it’s refreshing to have a place with no takeaway cups - so pay for a disposable cup or sit down with ceramic. Coffee - 7.8: As long as the coffee is good the ordering chaos above doesn’t matter at all. Unfortunately the attention to detail you’d expect was lost. Milk blend was too full.

The ice latte I got from Monmouth is definitely my favorite out of all the coffee I had consumed in my 5 days in London. I was surprised how packed this place when my friend and I got there on a weekday afternoon, but it all made sense after having the first sip of it. I also really like the fact that they charge you extra for any take-away beverages. This definitely adds extra points since it resonates with my support towards the environment. I also really like that they also sell their coffee beans in the store. Next time when I visit London again, I will be go back and grab some beans home!

The quality is excellent and the service is fantastic. It is no surprise that there's frequently a long queue. The staff are all friendly and smiling. I would highly recommend it. An excellent stop for coffee lovers especially for the espresso folks ;). Just do not get disappointed if there were no available seats. It is still worth it.

I went to refill my decaf coffee beans, and, as usual, the service and coffee were excellent. I wish there more decaf options but i like what i get. I always enjoy visiting for that energizing boost.
