This restaurant is very lax and cool without seemingly trying to be. It has a lot to do with the coziness, as the dining room can seat less than 10 tables. Once you step inside you certainly feel that you've been transported somewhere away from Mayfair. 

Bread & Burnt Onion Butter
(8/10) - Great crust, perfect crumb and overall a delicious sourdough. The char on the bread pairs well with the fatty, room temperature butter

Lamb Cutlets, Anchovy, Mint & Parsley
(7/10) - I think the flavors here are marvelous. The fatty and slightly gamy lamb plays well with the other ingredients. The herbs cut through the fat marvelously while the anchovy adds an intense and welcome salt bomb. I wish the lamb chops were prepared pink. I understand that this was not a cooking error and the kitchens intention however

Beef Sirloin Onion, Pink Fir, Pickled Walnut & Tunworth
(8/10) - I'm quite a fan of Galacian beef. It's not incredibly tender, but the meat is noticeably more flavorful than most beef (nuttier, beefier). The beef is cooked to a prefect pinkness and sides are well made and delicious. I absolutely adore pink firs.

The food here is always delicious, the staff always friendly and I'm always happy to dine here. It's a shame that it's so difficult to get a seat, but the place truly does warrant it. It's impressive for a place to do simple so well. There is a lot of confidence shown in both the amount of restraint and cooking here. Additionally impressive in a neighborhood where trying to impress and dazzle is the norm.

In genteel Mayfair reclines this laid back restaurant with little wooden tables, bar lounge seating and waiters with a dignified yet rakish sense of dress.  It is no wonder that Mr Cameron comes here to dine sometimes.  He must get a little tired of being surrounded by too many uptight people and needs to unwind.  Plus, good food also helps to distract from the latest new story.  Or maybe that’s just me.

Kitty Fisher’s has been on my never-ending and constantly growing list of restaurants to try, but for one reason or another, despite how close it is to my office, I had not managed to go (most often because it is a challenge getting a booking). No wonder its so hard to get a table, it is delicious and adorable, and very small with just a few tables upstairs and a few more downstairs. Their Galician Beef for two (or three in our case) was insanely delicious and so were their puddings, a must visit!

Kitty Fisher’s has been on my never-ending and constantly growing list of restaurants to try, but for one reason or another, despite how close it is to my office, I had not managed to go (most often because it is a challenge getting a booking). We finally secured a reservation and after an absolutely tasty meal it makes me sad we had not been to this little gem before. Their Galician beef us superb but everything is tasty and the vibe is intimate and cozy.

Hit the protein day requirements beautifully. Steak tartare very good and we had scallop and monkfish Rosemary skewers which were new on the menu. Then we ordered the Galician beef special - dairy cows. Wow! Beautifully cooked. Takes 45 mins to prepare so allow time. Going back next week to attack the rest of the menu with a bigger crew. Very impressed and great service too.

Service beyond the call of duty. Tick-o-rama. “Can I please have a gin and Slimline” “Oh, we don’t have Slimline,” says the man who must be the boss,  such is his proprietorial air. I find out later that he is Oliver Milburn, joint owner.  The kichen is manned by Tomos Parry, winner of Young British Foodie chef of the year and formerly of Climpson’s Arch in E8 and Chris Leach, ex Pitt Cue Co, so the emphasis on the wood-fired grill is not entirely a surprise. I know I should be ordering Fevertree, a superior product, but I have already mentioned my weight loss thing so spirits and Slimline are my low-carb alcoholic bridge to the full-fat world of wine. “We will go out and get you some” says owner-man. “No, I say, really, I’ll have some thing else.” “We should have some anyway”, he says. So I have to wait slightly longer than I would have desired for my G&T but how could I possibly complain? Service beyond the call of duty. Tick-o-rama.

It's Christmas Eve (babe), and having being the only person stupid enough to fight my way into a deserted office to do a final morning of work before the Great Central London Shutdown, I thought I deserved a nice lunch. A little office Christmas party of my own, maybe, where I get to choose the venue, don't have to mark in a shared spreadsheet a preference for "turkey" or "mushroom", and doesn't end with anyone being sick in a bin. Well, that was the plan. First, the parts of the Cheese and Biscuits Office Christmas party that went to plan: 1) The venue - Kitty Fisher's in Shepherds Market, Mayfair, is a teeny, ramshackle Dickensian spot that couldn't have felt more festive if it were designed by Disney. Downstairs an open kitchen bathes some of the low-ceilinged room in soft fluorescence, and the rest of it flickers with candlelight. Upstairs a small bar and a couple of tables look out over the quaint pedestrianised square as the last remaining Christmas office workers shuffled home. I'd like to say snow was lightly falling and Prime Minister Hugh Grant was rushing across town to chat up his secretary, only he wasn't. Still, you get the picture. 2) The food - everything. Was. Brilliant. OK, perhaps not absolutely every last bit of everything, but enough so that the overall effect was a masterclass in modern British cooking; inspirational, innovative dishes presented with confidence and flair, even more astonishing when you find out the head chef looks young enough to still be at university. AMAZING experience at Kitty Fisher's!!

I visited KF near the end of January with a friend for her birthday. I chose here because 1. Chef Tomos Parry is heading up the kitchen and is a young, up and coming awarding winning chef, and 2. Fay Maschler was very impressed with her visit here.

So after calling up and speaking to the wonderful Tim, I managed to book a table on a Tuesday evening at 9pm.

I really like the feel of Shepard Market in Mayfair. I feel like I am walking into a film set with Colin Farrell and when you see the outside of KF, you already feel the cosy and warm feeling that you get once you step inside.

Greeted by the lovely team of Tom, Tim and Oliver, we were sat upstairs on one of the 4/5 tables next to the bar. Very cosy and intimate.

The menu was fairly simple and had some great options, so I decided on the lamb cutlets, anchovy, mint and parsley for starters whilst my friend went for the beef tartare.

My lambs cutlets were absolutely incredible. THE most perfectly cooked lamb on the bone I have ever had and the dressing was a marrying harmony to make that lamb melt in my mouth with every bite.

With the mains, I was struggling to decide but opted for the duck and my friend decided on the Ox cheek.

My duck was an absolute delight!! Cooked so right and had rhubarb to balance the flavour and give the dish a real depth. However, the tomato purée really have the dish that extra something that made this a real star dish!!

To finish off with dessert, the chocolate mousse with burnt orange, Creme fraiche and hazelnuts won the deal! A great adventure of flavours on one plate and a perfect way to compete a splendid meal.

The food for me was absolutely faultless and I have been to many restaurants that try very hard and fail. Tomos Parry and KF keep it fairly simple but really deliver that perfect combination of flavours and perfectly cooked food.

A must visit for anyone who loves good food!!!

Superficially straightforward but enigmatically greater than the sum of its parts, it was a theme that was to continue throughout the afternoon. 

Grilled sourdough with my favourite new thing in the entire world - "burnt onion butter". Bright white whipped butter with a beguiling note of grilled onion, it pains me to say it but it was even greater than the house whipped butter at the Dairy, and that has bloody bone marrow in. The bread was fantastic, lightly oiled and chargrilled to perfection, but this was really all about that butter, a fluffy barbecued cream which dissolved in the mouth leaving only a faint hint of smokey allium. 

Any restaurant that has the confidence to serve three warmed fillets of oiled anchovy on a plate and for it not to feel like a scam is clearly ahead of their game. I can't tell you where they were from, or even how much they usually cost (they were off menu and I don't think charged for) but they were lovely, meaty things, not overly salty but with loads of flavour. 

Salt hake croquettas with aioli - greaselessly fried, packed full of the good stuff and with a light mayonnaise that wasn't too thick or too garlicky. About as good a plate of saltfish croquettas with aioli as you'd ever want, in other words. 

Next the only dish I wasn't mad about but that's probably because I've never been a huge fan of whole chestnuts. I don't mind chestnut stuffing or even (on the one occasion I tried it) chestnut liqueur, but the whole nuts are often quite unpleasantly soily in texture. Festive, though, and plenty of other people seem to like them so I'll give Kitty Fishers the benefit of the doubt. 

Burrata, beetroot & clementine quite sensibly gave us a great big wodge of what we really came here for (a vast, loose burrata, strongly seasoned and drizzled with oil) and left the other ingredients to play accompaniment. This was, if I'm being brutal, perhaps the least cutting-edge of the dishes on offer but still managed to impress. 

If you were to tell me before my visit to Kitty Fishers that the best bit of a world-famous Galician ex-dairy cow steak dish would be the accompanying potatoes then I'd probably have laughed in your face. But here we were anyway, eating pink fir spuds stuffed with Tunworth cheese and drizzed with homemade mustard dressing and wondering if any potatoes had ever tasted better in the history of planet earth. Try and imagine each as a sort of bitesized raclette, with melted soft cheese, potato and a tang of sweet mustard combining to assault every one of the foodie pleasure points - fat, salt, sugar, carbohydrate. 

Oh yes, and the steak wasn't bad either. 

There was more. Duck, pink and juicy, with black cabbage, cranberry and chervil root. A red mullet escabeche which managed a bright white, firm flesh next to some expertly grilled skin. Lamb cutlets, yet another example of a masterful use of a direct heat source, with heart & liver presented separately cutely skewered on rosemary stalks. I wish I could go into more detail, only by this stage I'm afraid I was somewhat suffering from the effects of a failure of part 3) of the plan - to stay (relatively) sober. 

Whether it was the first couple of glasses of house fizz (why not, it's Christmas) to the endless parade of fantastic wines that kept appearing at the table (why not, it's Christmas), to God knows what happened after around 3pm (why not, it's Christmas), events somehow conspired to ensure the impromptu Cheese and Biscuits Office Christmas party was, in one key area - quantity of alcohol consumed per capita - not too dissimilar to many other such parties happening across the capital. And I can try blaming the restaurant for being so damn good, or even a group of friends who by sheer coincidence were able to join me just after I'd finished my starter, but really the ultimate responsibility lies with me. I am weak, and I got drunk, and I'm not entirely convinced at some point I wasn't sick in a bin. 

But even before I lost my critical faculties to the Ghost of Christmas Present, Kitty Fisher's had done enough to convince me that it is one of London's most exciting new restaurants. With an impeccable eye for good ingredients, coupled with command of a range of techniques on hand to make the most of them; a menu that while not anything that can be described as 'budget' (I drunkenly insisted they took £100 from my credit card but I'm sure a more sensible spend per head is about £60) yet is still great value, and service that makes you want to stay the night, it ticks almost every box you could care to think up. I'll be back - hoping they've not run out of the Galician beef, eager to see what other surprises they can come up with, and - with any luck - not quite so drunk.

Service: The staff was incredibly attentive, proactive, and showed great attention to detail. They were prompt and went the extra mile to ensure our needs were met. Food: The flavor of the wing rib was delightful, with a taste that was quite impressive. However, we ordered it medium rare but it was slightly overcooked, and the crispy potato were a bit too greasy. Environment: The restaurant has a two-tiered setup, with the lower level offering a more serene and peaceful dining experience, allowing for a more relaxing meal. Overall, the experience was positive, with standout service and impressive flavors, though there were minor issues with the cooking and greasiness of certain items. The atmosphere of the lower level provided a quieter and more enjoyable ambiance.

I had the pleasure of dining at Katy Fisher's in the Shepherds Market, London, and it was an absolute culinary delight! My choice was the T-Bone steak, and let me tell you, it was cooked to perfection. As a Texan from Houston, I have high standards for beef, and Katy Fisher's exceeded them. The portion size and the quality of the beef were both exceptional. One piece of advice: make sure to make reservations in advance because this place is in high demand for a reason. The experience was truly memorable, and I can't wait to return to Katy Fisher's for another incredible meal.

The food and services at Kitty Fisher’s are amazing:) We have the chicken liver as starter and beef ribs for our main which is definitely enough for two to share. The crispy potatoes are surprisingly nice! Highly recommended!!

Just lovely - small cozy and charming. The staff are like family having you over for dinner. Only 4 tables in the main dining area it’s quite a treat. Lots of other areas to go after for another drink. A just go!

This is the perfect place for a romantic dinner in the heart of London. The atmosphere is nice and calm inside, you feel very welcome and the service is extraordinary. There are also some places outside, but we preferred to book a table inside. The menu is small, which is absolutely not an issue, because it is very well set up and the dishes are perfectly combined and arranged. The price is indeed a bit higher, however, absolutely worth and representative for the good quality of the food. We will definitely come back and highly recommend to visit Kitty Fisher's for a special occasion.

Absolutely fantastic food and service was brilliant. Sat outside on a beautiful day and it was very quaint. The asparagus and artichoke starters were amazing, and we actually forgot that we ordered the crispy potatoes after our mains came, but they were delicious! And the wine didn’t disappoint! It makes for a romantic, date spot, but is also just a reliable spot for a fantastic meal.

The starter crab toast was soooo delicious! Thanks for the recommendation. The main dish Wing Ribs and Crispy Potatoes were amazing. Worth trying! As we celebrated our anniversary there, the restaurant gave us 2 chocolates as special gift, which was really good and surprised!

Absolutely loved everything about our dining experience at Kitty Fisher's Mayfair. If you appreciate a cozy tucked away dining room, great service and delicious food, it's a great place. We would certainly be back. The ambiance is everything. I can imagine being there on cold day. The feeling is like a warm hug when you're welcomed home.

This is a very popular restaurant, and I have to say: Its by far the BEST STEAK I have tried for my whole life. The meat is tender, juicy and right on spot. And the fried potato is layered with crispiness and softness. Everything is very flavourful and very very lovely. I don’t usually leave comment on google map, but this literally give my a big surprise!
