Wonderful location while walking along the South Bank between the Tate Modern and RFH at Gabriel's Wharf serving great pizzas, fresh salads and good wine with a lovely view of the Thames traffic from their mezzanine perch tables. Friendly staff and reasonable prices.
Very sweet looking place by the Thames.
Food is great from pizzas to ravioli to salad. Every thing done up nicely. Truffle pizza with a bechamel sauce base was actually amazing.
A stroll along Southbank is made all the better if it lands you at Gourmet Pizza.
Though very popular, it seems that you can expect to be seated at GP within 5 minutes and you won't be too cramped. They have a covered outdoor area, though our group was seated inside.
Decor is fairly simple, so try to get a seat my the window, facing the water.
My group (of 4) started with a plate of focaccia & dough balls. The dough balls were yummy, and had a 'spicy' chili dipping sauce and an oil and vinegar sauce. The focaccia is not really worth getting. Very basic focaccia and a small bowl of oil and vinegar. To be fair, that is what was described in the menu, I was just expecting a slightly more exciting piece of bread.
The pizzas were very very good. Crust is not too thin, toppings are ample...all in all a very nice meal. My friend and I actually split a salad and a pizza and we were pleased to see that the restaurant actually divided it for us! Very cool!
Final verdict- better than your typical chain, not as good as the title would suggest.
Gourmet Pizza Company looks like a beach hut and it may not be exactly next to a beach, but it has the River Thames on its side! The actual location is in Gabriel's Wharf on the South Bank. Seen as it is a pizza restaurant, it seemed wrong to order anythi

If you are looking for a nice place for team lunch around Southbank you should check this one out. The pizza is delicious and you get a great view of the river and the building in the area. While not many people know about the food around Gabriel's Wharf, everyone who has been there has told me how good it is and ever since I went there myself it is one of my top places to pick when I want some good pizza at a reasonable price (and a glass of red please).
I've been meaning to pop in here for a while now, and luckily it is just a stroll away from the national theatre. So this is where I found myself, in a post theatre trip dmc with pizza and beer and my dear friend Jacob; and I couldn't be happier.
The place is relaxed, a simple menu, and the staff don't hassle you even though we stayed quite late. Our waitress was lovely, we had a really nice chat with her and the service was the right kind of speed (not so quick you judge them and question their cooking methods, and not too slow so that you get hangry (not a typo)).
I went for the "Classic Italian", ham, olives and mushrooms. My friend, who is a vegan, replaced his cheese with artichokes and they managed to still make his pizza look appetising, despite the lack of golden deliciousness.
Overall, I had a really enjoyable meal. The casual atmosphere, combined with the simple, yet well done food was the perfect way to end the evening.
I would return in the summer as the restaurant looks right on to the Thames and they have a very appealing outside seating area.
Came here for a meal before a theatre show nearby, as it was still fairly early the restaurant was half full and food came out quite fast.
I ordered the Cajun Chicken, Bacon & Goat's Cheese pizza. The pizza arrived uncut which I found a bit odd. I think the dough could be better but the topping is quite nice, the goat's cheese adds a moreish taste.
My friend was held up by public transport so I managed to order her a Gourmet Bruschetta which looked pretty good and fresh.
The service is quite friendly as well and a good place to grab affordable dinner around this quiet area in the evening.
They have a 3 course menu for £21.95 per person with a glass of prosecco which looks like pretty good deal.
Had a lovely lunch here.
They had a table available for walk in on Saturday and they were incredibly friendly.
Very attentive server despite a moderately busy restaurant. Thank you Arnold!
Food was delicious, warm and quick. Great sauce to cheese ratio with plenty of flavour.
I got a Margherita and my friend got an American, we both enjoyed our food.
Drinks were fresh and cool.
Price was okay, what you expect from a restaurant literally sat on a canal in central London.
Will definitely be coming again.
My 12 year old son announced the Hot honey pizza was the best he has ever eaten!! I believe him. The winning ingredients is adding the honey to the pizza. The service was brilliant. We enjoyed our time at this restaurant. The prices were reasonable for the location.
Lovely BBQ chicken wing, salad, honeycomb cream slice and pizza! Truly enjoyed our dinner. We’ve passed by this place by the Southbank a lot of times but this is the first time we’ve tried their food. No regrets. Friendly and accommodating staff as well, especially Anna. Thanks a lot and we’ll surely be back.
Our experience was great, from food to people. We had a fantastic experience with one of the servers Marinela she was of great help to us and really made out dining experience a lot better also with her well mannered act toward customers. Would recommend to anyone in the area
We arrived in London craving pizza (of all things) and walked by Gourmet Pizza Co along the Thames, about halfway between our hotel and the National Theatre. The great smells attracted us in... To make a long story short, we ate every single dinner at Gourmet Pizza Co during our 5-day stay in London, except for one night where the restaurant was closed since we showed up so late. The staff was remarkable! Our first love at first sight was Matteo who was attentive and great at recommending the very best dishes. Later, we met Alis and Marinella, both lovely people as well. Love you both! The food was exceptional, possibly the best authentic pizza we had had in years, even better than what we had had in Italy. On our last night, we tried the chicken wings as a starter and while I can't quite describe them, they were the most tender, moist, tasty and fragrant chicken wings I have ever had. We are now back in Canada and fighting cravings for Gourmet Pizza Co, but I promise you that we will be back, again and again! Thank you, friends: you filled our bellies and also our hearts. With much love, Marcus.
Found this place searching through Google. SO GOOD!!!! Would definitely go back and eat here. Everything was delicious. Service was excellent. Cozy and clean place.
Must try the Hot Honey Pizza and Warm Chicken, Bacon & Avocado Salad. I’d kill to have that right now!!
awesome and very delicious food in a nice location - good portions and reasonable prices. And lovely service by Valeria 😊
None of our main choices feature here, but pizzas are very good and the beetroot /avo / goats cheese salad is excellent - a good main course if you’re in salad mode.
We’ve been going here for over 15 years - staff are helpful and friendly. Some long termers like Arnold particularly lovely; Morley also. We just love the place. Good value too 💕
Really nice place and food delicious. Normal prices for London. Bathrooms available. We've been in our lunch break and the service was good and quick.
The food was very delicious - had the Hot Honey Pizza dish myself. The staff were kind and the overall atmosphere was welcoming and nice.
Gourmet Pizza Co is definitely a promising spot to visit, if you're looking for a good pizza dish near the good old River Thames.
