Ate there last Sunday evening. Was very impressed. In my experience, it is rare to come upon an outstanding Italian restaurant. Typically, plenty to eat, nothing to be too dissatisfied with. But the ambience at La Divina was relaxed and very welcoming. The staff were a delight and all of our group agreed their food was excellent, not too much but very tasty. This is an Italian restaurant to visit again if in the area. Congratulations all round.
I had a lovely experience and a filling meal in this restaurant. The atmosphere in here is warm and pleasant with very friendly staff and great, fast service. I had the salmon and avocado salad to eat which was fresh and nicely cooked, and came in a bread bowl which was a nice touch, making the whole dish more exciting.
The menu is extensive and caters for most tastes; I went with two friends one of whom had an indulgent mushroom risotto which was as creamy as it was cheesy, and the other had a cheesy aubergine dish which was simple and filling. You could also choose from a selection of fish and meat dishes, including calamari which looked delicious.
Would definitely recommend this place for a guaranteed nice, filling meal, and the welcoming and informal atmosphere.
Cafe la Divina is a super cute spot to have a nice italian meal! I really liked the way they've decorated the place, there's a vespa table, a fiat 500 cut in half and hanging on the wall, and a variety of posters from classic italian movies with Sofia Lauren and Marcello Mastroianni. They have really comfortable couches to sit on and overall you just feel at home.
The menu is great and I ate really well. I had the funghi al forno as an appetizer, and they were really great and cheesy. As a main course I had the spaghetti alla carbonara which were perfect, they were done just right. I definitely recommend coming here!

We have been coming here for years and it never disappoints. Friendly staff, lovely food and an overall great vibe to this place. If you are ever in the mood for authentic Italian cuisine this is the place to come to.
Visited here Saturday evening, two of us, no prior booking. Both ordered pasta dishes, one meatball, one seafood with side of garlic pizza bread. Food was incredible and flavour was bang on! Service friendly too, attentive and welcoming. Was everything we wanted. Only slight critique is we both felt the portions could've been just a touch bigger, but maybe we're just greedy guys! Would definitely come here again for a chilled afteroon/evening meal.
I recently checked out La Divina and it's a great budget-friendly spot. I unfortunately went for dinner instead of their amazing lunch deals and while the food was a great value, the drinks were a bit pricey. However, the staff there are super friendly and helpful, and the decor has a nice rustic vibe. The food is definitely worth it, although it might be nice to have a few more vegetarian options that aren't so similar to each other.
When I come to the Almeida I often have a meal here. The service is very friendly, the pizzas always taste fresh. Great value and a relaxing atmosphere.
Lovely local Italian with quirky furnishings (table made out of a Vespa!). Polite friendly service and very reasonably priced. Thoroughly recommended 👍
I visited the area to go down memory lane, where my family grew up, and stumbled along this restaurant, and wow the food was exceptional, we also needed to be somewhere after and was served so quickly, the staff was so welcoming and friendly, I would 💯 come back and highly recommend
La Divina is one of the best restaurants in Islington…the food is always delicious and fresh and flavoursome….the atmosphere and the staff are always so warm, welcoming and friendly! I would highly recommend this fantastic restaurant!
Beautiful gem on gorgeous Upper Street. Delicious food, tasty (and potent!) cocktails and compliments limoncello shots to finish! Lovely seating both indoors and out in a very pretty courtyard. Faultless, speedy service. Would love to return soon.
