Had a small party with friends and family.
Firstly, get the Long Island. It's delicious and packs a good punch.
So I had 3 starters because they do an average £20 for 4 small plates. So it made sense to go that route.
My main was the Surf and Turf, for some reason I thought it was Tiger Prawns, but it was King prawns/ Shrimps (the little brother 😂)
Friends had the Burger, Coal Block, Lamb rump, etc.
The setting is okay, not much one can say about that.
Popped in for a quick bite the service fast. Staff polite and accommodating the food was OK, nothing to scream about. lol lacked in flavour, especially the chicken, lobed the mac and cheese bites.
Shah's service at Bar and Block was truly commendable. Throughout the bottomless brunch, Shah demonstrated remarkable dedication and a strong work ethic. He consistently went above and beyond, ensuring that guests were well taken care of and had an enjoyable experience. Despite the bustling environment, Shah remained attentive and focused, attending to the needs of customers without hesitation. His helpfulness and knowledge of the bottomless brunch offerings were invaluable in guiding guests through their dining choices. Shah's unwavering commitment to providing excellent service is commendable, making him a true asset to Bar and Block.
Staff were very accommodating and polite, especially Jayanth, he couldn’t do enough for you. The food was amazing
Had the Tomapork Steak it was nice but nothing special and only came with garlic seasoned new potatoes. For dessert I had a affogato (Ice cream with a shot of espresso) which again was not bad.
The service was excellent, I can't say enough good things about it, the lady that served me was friendly, professional, helpful and the service was quick which was a big bonus.
Was after a steak after a long journey down from Newcastle. Atmosphere was nice, lots of people inside and place looks nice. Took a while to be seated even though there was plenty available. Once seated spent another 10+ mins waiting until I flagged down a waiter to take my order. Order also took 30 minutes to arrive. Service is very slow and even my next table customers were talking about it. Food was good and as expected. Could have done with a little more sauce. The little pot had as much as a McDonalds sauce pack.
Starter was a Salt and Pepper Squid which was delicious and not too greasy as it was fried. Main I had a sample platter of 3 x 4oz steaks all medium done with peppercorn sauce.
They seemed very short on staff, after meal I flagged down waitress for the bill but she went off to serve 4 other table their food before coming back.
Overall price was a little expensive but it is London after all. Atmosphere is nice but service was average. A couple of more staff members would fix this issue.

Ordered the filet mignon, it came out fantastic. Baked potato was great too and the chimichurri was great with the steak.
Tried Bar + Block Steakhouse for the first time with no expectations and oh I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The food was was absolutely delicious but what stood out to me was the customer service. I was greeted by a lovely lady named Leah in which she made my day, making sure I was looked after the whole time. You can't say you get this type of customer service often. Will definitely come back again for an occasion such as a birthday :).
Booked in advance for 6pm on a Friday evening for dinner. Happy Hour was until 7pm, so enjoyed a few 2 for 1 cocktails.
I also sign up on the registration page and received a 30% off main meals code which was great. Will definitely be visiting again in the near future.
Reasonably priced steak for central London however service wasn't brilliant with fairly long wait times. It took quite a long time for our orders to be taken and the staff to return again with the dessert menu. If you don't mind a flat iron steak I would recommend going to Flat Iron instead but you'd need to book in advance.
