Actually this is for one lunch and one dinner, both at the counter due to last minute bookings. Consistently good service (excellent in fact), food and vibe. Strong wine list. Feel you could go here many times and still enjoy it. Thanks
Probably the best Italian place I have tried so far in London. For starters I shared with my friend Gnocchi and Olives. For main courses we had the Pappardelle with 8 hour Dexter Beef Shin Ragu and the Pappardelle with Fennel Sausage and Peppercorn Ragu. Highly recommended and their Pear Spritz was great too as a refreshing drink. You will probably have to wait long enough before you get in but it is worth it. Welcoming and friendly staff.
celebrity chef Richard Blais couples his inventive west coast-inspired American fare with geometric art and a bustling open kitchen. The kinetic energy in Juniper & Ivy effortlessly flows from its architecture to your plate. Movement and symmetry in a dessert like the kitschy Yodel — a cylindrical devil’s food cake made with hazelnut brittle and white chocolate mousse — is the big finale.
One of the best meals I’ve had in London. Gotta wait in line for almost 30 mins, but it was worth it. I I had cacio e pepe (9/10), beef parpadelle (8/10), and a glass of red wine.
I just love love love the cacio e pepe! A simple pasta dish with cheese sauce and black pepper but taste very rich and creamy. Beef parpadelle was good as well, beef was so tender and flavorful.
Definitely must visit when you’re in Borough Market
Crazy Good restaurant!!
Simplicity at its best. A small but exciting menu. Obviously, if you’re not too interested in pasta, you’re at the wrong place. But certainly... if you’re in the mood for perfectly prepared, fresh and delicious pasta meals. Then this is the place for you!!
The drinks menu has enough diversity and will satisfy the tastes of any guest.
Couldn’t find any fault. They even provide entertainment!
I heard a lot of great reviews about this place and many people back at home told us that we needed to definetly try this place when visiting borough market. We stood in line for about 45 mins and during that time we were giving little sample size of mac and cheese as it was a chilly day. How nice of them! The restaurant itself was quite cramped but not uncomfortable. We ordered 2 pastas and a burrata. Burrata was stunning and exceptional creamy! My partner had the pappardelle with beef shin ragu and he loooved it. I had the tagliarini with dorset crab, chilli and lemon. Not a lot of chilli and quite tangy for my liking but overall it was pretty good! If you're not too stuffed from eating all the free samples in borough market, give this place a go!
Very good food. The portions are small but very tasty. The staff are nice and polite. The location near the borough market is fantastic and vibrant. There is a wait for getting in.
Fantastic vibey Italian restaurant close to London Bridge. Food was Al dente and had great flavour. I ordered the Ragu and shared gnocchi with friends, both were great. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. The place runs on a fast turnover - so be prepared. Queuing for a big table actually gets a table sooner... Go early to book!
After hearing a LOT of positive reviews, Padella was high on my to-go list. On Monday I finally got the chance to eat there and it was delicious. Located in London Bridge, the restaurant is directly opposite the station’s Borough Market exit so you won’t miss it. The restaurant itself is small so make sure to get there early to avoid the queues- another thing, they don’t take reservations so getting there early is key.
One of the best Italian places in London. It may look like a small restaraunt but you can tell by the queue that the flavours are a Big hit.
Luckily it was swift and we were seated after not a very long wait.
I personally loved their Gnocchi in pepper sauce and the Ravioli in sage butter.
The service was prompt despite the place being busy. The food was nice and priced reasonably.
Overall i would love to visit again and definitely recommend.
The famous @padella_pasta offers fresh and delicious pasta at a reasonable price. I went for a weekday lunch and the wait with the digital queue wasn’t bad at all.
Very yummy pasta and it’s fun to sit at the bar and watch them make everything. The portion is huge and I left feeling super full!
I waited 1 hour. The meal was satisfying and the spaghetti noodles were chewy. The male staff member wearing glasses who took my order was really friendly. When I asked about the menu, I was grateful that they kindly explained it with photos from Google reviews.
Cozy restaurant with friendly staff. The food was excellent, especially the various pastas we ordered. the table (for 3 people) could have been slightly larger. The price for the food you get is very good.
There is a qr code to scan at the front to get into a virtual queue. When you enter the restaurant it is incredibly lively. They have an open kitchen upstairs that is mesmerizing to watch, such a well run operation getting the pasta prepped and ready. The list of options is perfect, there is enough variety that you'll find something for everyone but won't get lost in pages of options. I'd definitely recommend sharing as there are just too many delicious pastas to only want to try one!
OK, a Brit chef friend of ours reco'd this place to us for our visit here and we loved it so much we at here two days in a row! Once in the Shoreditch location and the next day in Borough Market. The pasta is that good! We had 4 pastas. The cacio y pepi, excellent spice, cheese and excellent pasta; the crab, limon and red pepper pasta; the pumpkin ravioli w/ mascarpone and sage; and the nduja fettuccinni. The service is greta, it has a fun vibe and the food rocks. Go!
I enjoyed my lunch here, the service was amazing, all the workers were really nice, helpful and attentive. I am italian and i can say that the pasta was good, but not as good as everyone made it sound. Definitely enjoyed it, but for the price i think there’s better places to eat a good pasta. Atmosphere was nice, place is really tiny and crowded but again, overall enjoyed this restaurant. My favorite thing was the sourdough bread!
A QR code to scan at the front door for queue up and you will receive a text message when the table is ready.
I got a seat at the counter table right in front of the open kitchen. It’s a good experience to see how they prepare your food. Fettuccine is one of my favorite pastas, so I order this with Scottish girolles and tiramisu as dessert.
Food served fast and hot, the texture and the cooking time of home-made fettuccine is absolutely great. They cut the girolles into little pieces but I would prefer to keep the original shape of the girolles in order to enjoy mixture flavors of the pasta and mushroom altogether.
Our favourite pasta place in London. The pasta is made in house, the menu is small and simple (but not simple in depth of flavour!), and the interior is so beautifully minimalist and clean. The service is always fantastic and we cannot get enough of the pappardelle. Always a happy customer at Padella, since the very first day it opened!
I had the tagliarini with Dorset crab, it’s nice but I think I was expecting more with flavour because of how hyped Padella is. It’s slightly bland but I thought the portion size was a good amount overall and it did definitely fill me up. I’m happy with the customer service they were polite and friendly.
Lovely fresh pasta, I enjoyed the food here, but I expected a bit more because it was hyped up by many friends. Service was a bit inattentive, and it was a bit crowded and noisy. But overall a good lunch spot :)
