I love Sheekey’s. The food and service are perfection as is the location- there are so few decent independent places to eat around St. Martin’s Lane now and Sheekey’s is still a beacon for delicious seafood, great wine and utterly charming staff. We shared a dozen Jersey oysters and I had the Cornish Fish Stew while my Companion had the famous fish pie. Wine and champagne were great and we were warmly welcomed without a booking. Yes, it is pricey but 100% worth it if you can afford it as it is the kind of experience you rarely find in the West End these days.

Very good restaurant, but also not for everyone - the menu is not very “universal”, as this place focuses on seafood dishes. They were tasty, nicely served and properly prepared. However, it’s not a five star restaurant to me, cause doing everything good is expected these days. And it was rather expensive, so one can expect a bit more.

Five stars all the way for J Sheekey! In honesty the venues location initially made me concerned, anticipating another central London hyped restaurant. Fortunately we were delightfully surprised by both J Sheekey’s ambiance, service and most importantly food! Dishes sampled were: roasted octopus; oysters; roasted salmon; hake and the Dover sole which was served off the bone with béarnaise sauce 👌🏻 If you’re also a fan of celebs, you can’t go far wrong!

Simply outstanding food, service, and ambiance. We've eaten our way through the UK top to bottom and hands down, J. Sheekey was the best so far. The scallops were amazing. The Sole and Halibut were prepared perfectly. The sides were spot on, and the mango and passion fruit cheesecake was delicate and brilliantly prepared. It made the 20yr Tawny port shine. It was our pleasure to dine with you.

My wife and I shared a seafood platter which consisted of oysters, dressed crab, cockles, prawns, langostino mussels and more. We enjoyed it very much. The service was very good and price was reasonable. An ideal restaurant for anyone who enjoys seafood.

If you like fish, you'll love J Sheekey. Food quality is superb albeit a bit pricey, but where isn't these post pandemic days in London. Restaurant was established in 1896 and its probably only been refitted once or twice since then. It has an old school charm about that would be hard to replicate. You immediately feel cosy and relaxed as 100's of black and white photos of the stars of yesteryear gaze down upon you. It's certainly an experience.

Attentive front desk that made sure the meal finished in time to get to our 7:30pm show. Food overall was good but a little too salty for me, in particular the fish stew. Bar service could be improved as our drinks arrived just as we finished our starters.

Some restaurants are just class, have always been classy and hopefully will always be classy. J Sheekey is one such establishment and always delivers in terms of food quality and service. On this visit I tried the Galician octopus for starters which was really good and reminded me of dining alfresco on the Mediterranean. For my main I chose the lobster thermidor and fries which had a great sauce and really hit the spot. I finished with a double expresso and as always really enjoyed the experience. Yes this place is a bit expensive but IMHO it is well worth it.

Always on my London hit list while in town. Food is delicious, the service of high standard. I was sat behind the hostess in the small no man’s land and I do much prefer to be in the main dining room action, which was more my fault for not booking on a busy Friday lunch. I’d been at The Ivy day before and I think JS fish and chips is much better! Controversial :) But try them both, both iconic.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The food was simply outstanding, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. The restaurant's decor is designed to look like a train, and it's simply beautiful inside. The oysters were some of the best I've ever had, and the seafood platter was absolutely delicious. The desserts were also amazing - not only did they look beautiful, but they tasted incredible. As a seafood lover, I highly recommend this restaurant. We went there to celebrate Father's Day, and it was the perfect choice. While the prices are on the expensive side, it's definitely worth it for the quality of food and service you receive. I would definitely go back again in the future!
