Cafés are eating venues I frequent the least, and when I do it has to deliver. Bob's cafe did so firstly for the friendly staff, but most importantly for the food.
Having a fry up there's that slight feeling of ending up feeling you ate a bit too much, though this wasn't the case. Everything was cooked to perfection, especially the bacon which had that perfect balance of hard and soft textures.
Everything on the plate was so well cooked you'd think it were done in an oven, as there was little to no oil at all. My one regret was not ordering an extra sausage, which I'll definitely do on my next visit.
We went in this restaurant in August 2023 and had an amazing experience!
🍽️ Food: we had 2 schnitzel and mashed potatoes as I already knew it was the best I ever had in London. We then had a sticky toffee pudding which is also the best in London (from a pudding expert)
👌Service: we were welcomed by the owner (I think) who was very friendly and welcoming! The service was excellent throughout with friendly and seamless service
🎉Ambiance: the environment is looking great and cosy
💸Value for money: our meal for 2 with drinks and one dessert to share was around £45 which was totally worth the experience

Had the buttermilk pancakes with the berry compot with bacon. It was delicious food. Was sat near the back of the restaurant near the fire exit so the smell of cigarette smoke? Did linger near. Apart from that great service. Highly recommend.

We popped in as a family of 3 for a light lunch. We enjoyed the atmosphere, loved the food, found service to be good and not at all pushy. We'll be back.

Lovely cafe. Bright, comfortable and well decorated. Excellent service. Good selection of food and drinks. Quality of the food was good too. Bit annoying that they add service charge to the bill by default
Nice place and very good costumer service. The food was delicious. We shared some nachos to start with. My main was a vegetarian burrito with a glass of Rioja red wine. I was too full, so I just had a taste of my son's Oreo cheese cake, and it was yummy.
We were fortunate to get seated during early lunch as it appears reserving in advance is common at Bob’s Cafe.
We had the table for less than an hour and the kitchen was quick we were served promptly. The food was delicious as were the latte and mocha we ordered.
Managed to squeeze passed the waiting diners by the door when we left; will visit again with a reservation next time.
Lovely experience here and the best nachos in London. Staff, especially Denisa were lovely.
