Ask Italian

I had an excellent meal here today with my girlfriend. Its definitely in my top three Italian restraunts in the UK I have been to. The food tasted really good, the price was reasonable, and the staff were very friendly. We ordered two dishes (Calzone Carne Piccante and Beef Brisket Pappardelle) and the staff kindly gave us two separate plates so we could share the dishes. I would have had dessert but was too full. I definitely reccomend this Italian restraunt if you are in the area.

Loved the food, was recommended to try it by my sister, have to say the lasagna was really good, one of the best ones I've ever tasted, was such a nice big portion as well, so can't complain about that! Really enjoyed eating here, staff were friendly and always on hand if anything arose, overall, nice experience

We had just arrived in London from a 6:40a flight down from Inverness. My wife and I were tired. The girls were hungry and cranky. A couple right turns from the hotel at Paddington Station and Googling stuff led us to ASK Italian, and it was JUST what we needed for lunch. A whiff of basil and a friendly hostess greeted us. I later learned it's a chain but who cares. The food was excellent, our kids ate a good meal. The wine was delicious. After doing the £ to $ conversion in my head it was even a great value compared to what we're used to in the States at comparable quality. The atmosphere was light and sunny. And, get this: our hostess (regretfully I don't recall her name) brought over a little plate of carrot sticks, bread sticks and marinara sauce for our 5 and 7 yo daughters as soon as we sat down with a cheerful, "Here you are, my lovelies!" That was a women skilled in her craft -- she helped us (and everyone in the restaurant) avert a hunger-fueled meltdown. Bravo. We went back for dinner🤗

I visited ASK yesterday (Tuesday 8th August) with my brother for dinner before our train home. We were seated promptly after entering and the staff were very attentive after being told of my brother’s nut allergy. As always, the venue was decorated beautifully. We ordered the cheese fondue to start, the pollo de casa and a lasagne, and two chocolate etnas for dessert. The food was perfect. The staff were very friendly and their customer service was perfect- especially considering how busy they were! They even got our desserts in to go boxes for us as we were worried we may miss our train and allowed us to pay our bill whilst we were waiting. Thank you for your hospitality!

quick ordering and when we told service we had to leave for theatre in an hour they asked if we wanted starter with main courses which we did in a bout 10 minutes. when we asked for it to be cooler they turned on air con . there are 28 seats outside for good weather. a tip for the team 10v% had been added but we could cross if off if we wanted. Atmosphere half full Sunday lunchtime. but would go again. good idea summer meals and drinks .

This branch of ASK, very close to London Paddington Station, managed to survive when many were closed some years ago. It was my first visit today (June 2023) together with my Sister, my Brother and his Wife. When we arrived, not having made a reservation, we were promptly greeted and taken to a table. Staff were good, very professional and happy to make suggestions for items on the menu (to complement our choices). We decided not to have Starters and settled on Mains, Dessert and Coffee. Food was hot and well presented. A bottle of white wine was very good, despite being one of the cheaper wines on the menu. Service was initially good but slowed noticeably as the place filled up. For our group it was not too much of a problem. The total bill seemed a lot, but was still cheaper than London prices. We all agreed that we would come back to this Restaurant in the future.
