If you're trying to find a good French restaurant in a prime location in London this is the right place. I was there last night with friends and loved the atmosphere. The choice of wines is really good - it's a shame I can't drink it at the moment. The menu selection is also quite good with key french dishes that will please different tastes - good variety of meats and nice fish options as well. I went for the cod which was creamy and fabulous, whereas my other half went for the lamb which was cooked perfectly and really soft! I couldn't resist the desserts and went for one of my favourites, the fondant au chocolat which just by the smell and look was divine. He's crazy about citron tart and that's precisely what he ordered. Again the smell.... yummy!!! Perfect place for a relaxing dinner. Would definitely be back

Lovely restaurant! Minus the general manager.... Le Boudin Blanc is a lovely restaurant, been there many times and I've always enjoyed myself and the meal even more so. The starters, mains and deserts are stunningly delicious and the atmosphere is lovely.
However one thing ruined the evening - After one of the people in our party received her coat after the meal it was missing an (expensive) fur cuff. Immediately, the general manager was defensive and rude (despite us being very calm to begin with), refusing to go double check if it dropped on the floor while retrieving it. His rudeness just escalated, just because he refused to believe he may have dropped it. The problem was no longer about the lost piece of clothing, which had he apologized for or simply said we could call back in the morning and settle the problem, we would have left feeling somewhat sad but still have good feelings towards the restaurant. However his attitude towards us was atrocious, and quite frankly uncalled for.
So much for the customer is always right? Christophe Capron, is my only complaint about this lovely restaurant. Sadly, I don't see us ever returning until he sincerely apologises or (preferably) gets sacked/demoted.
So if you don't mind being talked down to, then great! The food is superb! Customer service once you've paid the hefty bill however... not so great.

Incroyable. Just had the best french dinner ever. The food was amazing, every thing was so full of flavor and left me wanting more of everything. The best word to sum up this restaurant is "authentic". The atmosphere was very french, the wait staff were all french with excellent english skills and the food was superb and authentic.

The French Onion soup was perfect and even though it was a large portion I could have had so much more. The best part of the whole meal would have to the the Fondant! If you love chocolate as much as I do then this is what you MUST order. They make it fresh for each order and when it comes out the warm melted chocolate is to die for.

This authentic french restaurants provides a fantastic alternative to the larger more commercialized restaurants that are becoming so common.

If your are anywhere in London and have yet to visit this place then I would strongly suggest going as soon as possible. You may want to make a reservation a little bit ahead of time, it may be a small off the beaten path restaurant but it is by no mean lacking cliental.

Paris inspiring!. Want a taste of the real Paris at lunchtime? Save yourself the Eurostar fare and book yourself into the White Pudding. The staff, the food, the wine and the wonderful atmosphere are as French as the Eiffel Tower. Brilliant for business lunches and romantic dinners.

Always perfect, one of the very few places - including France, where I actually get this grandma flavor (ormaybe it i srosmary?). Impressive winelist, pricey but worth it!

The restaurant offers de rigueur classic starters: oysters, escargots, mussels and foie gras among others. I had the coup de foudre for the onion soup. The broth, made with caramelized onions, Gruyere cheese and croutons, is a simple dish, but delicious when well prepared. The legend attributes its creation to a French King, who, starving after a hunting party, ordered a dish to be prepared with the few ingredients available in his country lodge. This is a nourishing dish, but really, if you eat like a bird, you are in the wrong kind of aviary!

I've always wanted to eat in that cute little pocket of Mayfair that is Shepherds Market. There's a hubbub of pubs and bistros and arty looking boutiques, and it's perfectly positioned near the Curzon Mayfair for a drink or a bite before a movie. It's one of those places I often walk past on my way to somewhere else, thinking "I must come back here" and then I promptly forget all about it. And then the lovely R popped the question to my amazing friend A, A said "yes", and there was serious champagne to be drunk. They chose Le Boudin Blanc , a favourite little restaurant of theirs in the heart of Shepherds Market, which promised to provide a touch of Paris in London - with ex-Le Gavroche head chef, Nicolas Laridan, at the stove to boot. Yes please. Le Boudin Blanc is all very cosy and romantic inside. The downstairs room is probably the most atmospheric, but there are 2 rooms upstairs, looking down onto the surrounding laneways, with wooden tables, candlelight and st

If you are looking for a classy yet simple restaurant that will take you to France faster that the Eurostar, Le Boudin Blanc is the right place for you. With French style decor as well as excellent waiters that are fluent in French, this intimate setting is the right environment for a couple, as well as a family with quite mature children able to appreciate the full experience.

Generally with French cuisine, some of the most tricky dishes to make are the soups. I was quite blown away by le soupe à l'oignon. It was on point and I recommend it as a starter to get you engaged. As an entrée, I recommend the Rib-eye Steak with Peppercorn Sauce. They have a great dessert menu that helps end the night the right way; my favourite being the Chocolate Fondant.  As you can imagine, the wine list is superb with something for all preferences and great in combination with your meal; though of course very pricey.

Quite simply, Le Boudin Blanc makes for a night you won't forget. That being said, you will have to fork out a lot of money. I still believe it was well-worth it.

Le Boudin Blanc c'est magnifique! Set in the heart of Mayfair in Shepherds Market, which is what offers it a cute "town feel".  As you open the doors you are drawn into what feels like a great local restaurant in Paris. The ambiance is casual and comfortable enough for a family dinner, yet intimate enough for a romantic date with your loved one. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and definitely add to the casual vibe, whilst still being very professional and attentive.

Though the finesse and taste of the food is what keeps me going back time and time again. Here you will find something for everyone to enjoy due to the simplicity of french food, yet complemented with the most incredible flavours. My favourite are the French Onion Soup and the Scottish Rib-Eye Steak with Peppercorn sauce. Though their entrees and fish are also to die for. It is one of those restaurants where although I have my favourite dishes, I seem to always try something new because I know I will fall in love with it just as much as the last one.

Of course being in Mayfair, it is on the pricier side of meals; especially when accompanied with a fine bottle of wine. Though for the consistently superb quality of the food and the cozy ambiance, I seem to never mind to pay a bit more.

Highly recommend this restaurant, if you love french cuisine or simply are stuck with ideas of where to go, you can never go wrong with Le Boudin Blanc.

Lovers of French cuisine: maybe your palate has been over-tested by the avant-garde dishes served in exotic London eateries. Maybe you feel a little uncomfortable dining in pretentious haute cuisine restaurants, where you are constantly wary of committing a faux pas. Perhaps you simply long for the Paris bistrots, which maintain a tradition of simple and savoury dishes, so quintessential to the French savoir vivre. Let me save you a journey across the Channel, and tell you how to satisfy legitimate cravings in good old London. Let me introduce you to the Boudin Blanc.

On the edge of pretty Shepherd’s Market, in the heart of the West End, you may spot a restaurant painted olive green with willow chairs outside. It is hard to resist the terrace of Le Boudin Blanc on a sunny day, but the interior also invites you to find solace from the harsh English winter. Set on two floors, the dining area has warm wooden panels. At night, candlelight shines on art deco posters and tables. All types of dining parties are welcome here. If it is a lively evening, the place may be noisy and is a good choice for a group of friends but if sharing my good fortune, you come here for a charming rendez-vous, you may consider a quieter corner.

While most of the personnel is French, you may be surprised if you are expecting the waiters to show arrogance or discourtesy, which, in Paris, are very much a la mode. I would also like to recommend the sommelier, who is very helpful in spite of being brought up in rainy Normandy, one of the very few French provinces not blessed by vineyards.

The menu for main courses offers traditional meat and fish dishes. The fish dishes respect the original subtle savour of the product, while garnishes add a je ne sais quoi of creativity. Meat dishes are virile: no need to present the French tartare here, but you may also consider the boudin, the eponymous dish of the restaurant. The latter is a generous dish made of mixed pork and poultry served in a Madeira sauce with creamy mashed potatoes. A selection of Scottish beef would seduce less adventurous diners.

Wines are quite pricey, even the ones coming from the less expensive vineyards. However, you also pay for the very extensive choice and careful selection of the best Chateaux from a great diversity of regions. To finish a pantagruelian dinner, you may also want to explore the spirits the French call digestifs, Calvados, Cognac and Armagnac. That should be it for one night, but Le Boudin Blanc, crème de la crème of French rustic cuisine, will invite you again and again to resume your Tour de France of savoury terroirs.

Decent French food! I guess not many restaurants in London have Escargot, but this place does, with a reasonable price and quality. It was my first try, but I loved it!! That was the main reason why I visited here, but other foods were also tasty, we ordered scallops, duck and beef tartare, everything was absolutely fav❤️

Friendly and attentive staff make this bustling restaurant perfect for a cozy meal for two. However, the table were so close in this covid time. The food was well prepared in the classical French style and the wine list is comprehensive. The wine waiter was most helpful. We will definitely be returning when the forth wave is over.

As far as french food goes the food is really tasty here. Also they have an amazing wine selection. A great selection on the menu for both meat and fish eaters. The atmosphere is very rustic and cosy but can get loud on weekends on an evening.

We dined at Le Boudin Blanc on a weeknight, and it's clearly a popular choice as the dining room was very busy. The waitstaff handled the diner's needs efficiently and with unobtrusive style. Our meal, chosen from the chalkboard listing specials for the evening, was perfectly cooked and delicious, and complemented well by the wine we chose with help from the sommelier. The one drawback was the noise level in the dining room; while not objectionable in itself, it wasn't what we would have desired that night. Overall, though, you will not be disappointed in the atmosphere, the service, or the food, all of which were warm and excellent.
