Cafe Tiffin is a pleasant little restaurant tucked away on Compton Street. The dining room is very small and it is quite possible to find yourself the only diner outside peak hours.

The favourites are available, including a businesslike grid on the menu listing curry dishes against a selection of meats and the food is pretty good. There is a reasonable selection of beers and wine, though it must be said that it lacks atmosphere. Cafe Tiffin's real draw is its very competitive pricing, which few Indian restaurants nearby can better.

Cafe Tiffin serves a good selection of pleasant Indian food at a very reasonable price.

I came here recently with a friend who loves Indian food, and given that they accept the taste card we thought it worth a shoy.

On entering, it has all the feel of a small, pretty standard indian take-away which has thrown in a few chairs and tables to expand its options. The interiors not the best, but I'm all about the food so was happy to overlook.

As it was empty, we were immediately seen to by a friendly waiter and quickly made our orders.

Now, I am a purveyor of many Indian restaurants and I was expecting a very average meal. However, the waiter returned ten minutes later with a sizzling tray release wonderful aromas and promptly served us excellently cooked pieces of meat as our starters.

Our mains also were much better than I expected given the look of the place: not the best curry I have had but certainly very good with huge pieces of chicken. It is worth noting that a lot of people collected take away orders while we were there, so i think it is popular with the locals.

On the whole, the food and service was very good, but it is slightly let down by decor/style of the room itself. But,if you're looking for a reasonably priced indian with some friends, it is definitely worth considering.

Amazing food. The flavors were fantastic and every dish was delicious. The lamb shank fell off the bone and was amazingly tender. The Murgh Makhani was perfect, if you like butter chicken and can handle spice, get this. The onion bhaji, poppadoms and chutney, samosa, stuffed mushroom and king prawn puree were amazing starters. I wouldn't change anything about this place, and it is BYOB. I will definitely be back here.

Feeling quite happy we found and visited this wonderful, delicious restaurant during our stay in London. We were greeted at the door upon arrival by a friendly person and seated with very little wait. We ordered some samosa and they arrived promptly with a tasty sauce that was a refreshing alternative to the general sauces usually served with this appetizer. When ready to order the server kindly described the special of the day, Nihari. He explained it is a Pakistani dish and surprisingly my 14 year old son jumped on the chance to try something new. We also ordered a vegetarian dish and chicken madras along with garlic and plain naan and plain rice. All amazing and enjoyed by all. The Nimbu Pani and Masala chai were fab too. Our server took extra time to tell us how they research some of their recipes and the care and love for these traditional dishes didn’t go unnoticed. If this was the only place in London we visited during our stay, I’d be completely happy.

Very small restaurant. Intimate. Does mean it gets noisy. But the staff are very friendly. Curry's are bang on. There were 8 of is at the table. Every curry was excellent. Booking advised. BYOB.

Brooooo.... get here. We're visiting on holiday & I wanted to show my family a good London curry. We were not disappointed! Everything was delicious, fresh, extremely flavorful. The staff was super cool & fun to interact with, offering great suggested dishes which were perfect. Hit this place up! You won't regret.

Lovely little restaurant tucked out of the way in great neighbourhood. The food was distinctive, flavourful and really well prepared. Good value too. Really warm but not intrusive atmosphere. Real feeling of being in a neighbourly restaurant - which is what it was. Excellent - well worth checking out!

We stumbled across this place by accident cause our Plan A for dinner was closed. We loved it! After eating here we were happy about plan A not panning out! It’s a very authentic little indian restaurant, i would say it is one of those little gems you find sometimes! The food is delicious! Our waiter was very nice, recommending us stuff and even got us hooked on an delicious appetizer! Kind of sad we only found it on our last night, totally would have loved to go there again!

Excellent, excellent Indian dishes. The only thing better than the food is the wlecome and caring service by all staff. I would highly recommend allowing the waiter to tell you about the off menu special and then order that. You can not go wrong. We had the lamb shank and roast chicken entrees. Both were absolutely fall off the bone tender, cooked to perfection. The sauces were delightful. Full of flavor with just a touch of heat. Mouth watering memories created this night! We also had the chicken tika and prawn poori appetizers. Watch out for the poori. It is so packed with flavor you will need one of their nonalcoholic Cobra ales to tame your tongue. Absolutely delicious! Loved it. I'll tell you how good this food was,,a customer leaving as we were ordering had brought a couple of Fosters, he didn't drink them and offered them to us, confused I graciously accepted, fully intending to enjoy my free beers, I love beer, but I passed on the fosters on to another customer because I didn't drink them! The food is too damn good to foul with cheap drink. Truly it's that good. Do you and your loved ones a favor and eat their amazing food. You will be very happy!!!

Went in here for lunch and for takeaway and was welcomed by friendly staff. It’s slightly cheaper when going takeaway too which I didn’t know about until the staff member told me. The interior is bright, cosy and well decorated if you wish to sit in. I wanted something not too heavy so opted for the meat platter starter which had chicken tikka pieces, lamp chop which came with mint sauce, fried onions and some salad. I got a pitta bread with it and I must say the food left me wanting more of the same! The flavours were so good, cooked well and grilled too. Would come back again.
