This place was suggested by a friend and I must say it was a surprise to find authentic indian food. The mango lassi was the winner as it is the best I have had ever outside India.Tried their navratan biryani and karahi paneer. Not to forget the alu paratha is a must try!!
Cosy place. Amazing restaurant i must say. Staff always smiling. Delicious food, freshly cooked. Overall a good meal anx great value, Will definitely visit again to try different delicacies.
Wonderful! Worth the walk for me-the cheese curds are my favorite! I will be back. Fantastic wine list as well....
There was even a hot towel at the end of the meal....
Awesome yummy indian food for the people who missing home food... the indian manager is so kind n makes you to eat more. Should eat anything in the menu will give you complete satisfaction... loved it
Last night was my second visit to this fine Indian eatery. Located on a quiet street just off Hyde Park and Bayswater Road you will find the service good and the food better. For starters try the Dosa, Sammi Kebab ,Pakoras and the Samosas. Mains that please are Chicken Tikka, with perhaps the yellow Dal, Sag Paneer, and Aloo Gobi. Nice Ambience, helps but can be a bit pricey$$$$.
We had a wonderful dinner experience here after a long day of sightseeing. This was a great find some blocks away from Paddington Station - about a 10-15 minute walk. The host made some great menu suggestions as he could tell we weren't from around here. We started with meat filled samosas with zesty tamarind sauce and ragara pattice. For main entrees, I got the lamb curry stew roganjosh kashmiri and hubby got the roasted lamb baloushi raan - which was a large portion of meat. Flavors & spices were intense, aromatic - yet balanced. We were stuffed silly and did not make it to dessert. I would enjoy trying other dishes at this restaurant - they looked great going by to other tables.
One of the best Indian food in London.... This one is really authentic and can safely say one of the best Indian food in London. All the dishes daal makhani, kadai paneer, chicken and lamb kababs, rogan josh etc are with exact original spices and taste...If you are looking for genuine Indian cuisine, a place to be.
I went to this place with bunch of friends to have authentic Mughlai. We had dal makhni, Kadhai paneer and malai kofta. I really like Kadhai paneer although dal was ok. The restaurant has decent ambience and service. I surely recommend bombay palace.
Best tradional Indian. Channa masala, aloo gobi, yellow dal, dai puri. Must try all chaats. Service is excellent. Decor also old Indian. Try.
The Culinary Passage
+4.5
I must admit that I was somewhat skeptical of Bombay Palace high rating. However, the restaurant was within walking distance of our hotel. My friend and I had a hankering for Indian food - something that isn’t readily available to us at hotel we stay.
Thankfully, I’d made a reservation earlier in the day because the place was full when we arrived.
The owner himself was there, directing at the entrance of restaurant. He was obviously enjoying himself, greeting diners as if they were guest at his home and assisting those unfamiliar with the menu. His enthusiasm was contagious. He seems to have found his calling in this, his retirement project.
The restaurant is large and well stocked bar and amazing wine lists to pair with Indian food, the tables were BIG. This is definitely a neighborhood place for a fine dining destination.
The menu has some very interesting choices, a number of which are “street snacks” not usually found on a restaurant menu. This allows you to make a meal of small plates if you desire. We shared our dishes. We ordered for Onion Bhajee, Dahi Batata Puri and Chilli Chicken for appetizers. The Chilli Chicken was to die for. For the main we ordered Nalli Gosht, Chicken Korma along with Butter Naans and Jeera Pulao. The Jeera Pulao was a bit let down and the rest of the dishes were true to the taste. We downed them with few bottles of Kingfisher beers. The cost for two was around £155.00. It was worth it.
Excellent find - authentic dishes with amazing flavours and very warm, attentive, welcoming staff who are well informed and friendly. Overall, a wonderful way to spend a Sunday evening.
Lovely ambience and just the right distance between tables which is quite rare we find at central London restaurants.
A big thank you to Adi and The Bombay Palace team!
This is one of my most favorite restaurants in London.
After they revamped the place, the interiors and decor has become even better.
Excellent and courteous service, food to match for and fabulous choices for vegetarians.
Went there twice in span of 7 days. That says a lot for their food and service.
Their black daal is a must have.
Highly recommended for true Indian food.

This Resturant was recommended to me by the hotel conceirge. I went around 7 PM and I was seated immediately. I had an amazing service, great atmosphere and superb food.
Not too loud, you can easily converse with your company which is something that’s been lacking in restaurants lately.
We ordered Butter chicken, vegetable beryani and Punjabi Samosa which were all so good and cooked to perfection.
I had a great experience dining in this location. The staff where friendly and attentive and the food is some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Pictured is the chicken tikka masala and the samosa chaat. The samosa chat was a surprise for me, one of my favorite options ever. I highly recommend this restaurant.
One of the best Indian restaurants in London.
Excellent and very friendly service, with exceptionally good food.
It is a very relaxing environment, not too loud and with the tables nicely spaced out allowing for a very enjoyable experience.
We have eaten here a number of times with family and friends and would highly recommend it as a high quality Indian restaurant.
Thank you for providing delicious food (Biryani rice + Butter Chicken) 👍and hospitality restaurant. 🙏 London UK 🇬🇧
A good Indian restaurant. Food and service above average.
Absolutely lovely and authentic Indian. Had amazing starters, especially the golgappe, dahi bhalla chaat, and samosa chaat. Also amazing service managed by Mr. Robert Pinto. The gajar ka halwa is also a must try!
Absolutely lovely meal here. The lamb was out of this world. Hands down the best Indian restaurant in London, with delightful service to boot. Highly recommend.
