Outsanding service, simple and clean deco, friendly atmosphere and a sophisticated bar service that perfectly complements the awesome gourmet cuisine. The grilled sea bass with shallots and cauliflower was absolutely smashing, and the pana cotta a delight to die for. A bit pricey though - and a at least a colleague complained of the pork being far too salty. Other than that, heavily recommended!

It's not often that I'm blown away by a restaurant, as in really, truly, happily shocked at the whole experience. But that's exactly what happened on Sunday evening when we decided on a very last minute trip to Charlotte's restaurant on Turnham Green terrace. I hadn't been before, but it's been on my radar for a while - I do all my food shopping along Turnham Green terrace (apart from a trip round the corner to Wyndham House butchers) and so I've seen Charlotte's a few times when I've walked past. I've followed them on Twitter for a while and always been intrigued, but have also always felt I need to go more central to find London's really good restaurants - how wrong I was!We called Charlotte's at 8.45pm on Sunday to see if they could squeeze us in, and were told of course they could, despite normally taking last orders at 9pm, they would wait for us to get there (from Hammersmith). We arrived just after 9 and were greeted by THE friendliest, most helpful waiters and waitresses I've ever come across. They showed us to a table for 2 at the back of the restaurant, under the huge glass skylight that let in the last of the weekend's sunshine. We settled down with the menu, and ordered a "New girlfriend" cocktail for me, which was a delicious combo of Simpsmith vodka, elderflower cordial, rhubarb puree and pink grapefruit, that was actually very similar to the rhubarb and elderflower cocktail I'd served the night before at my pop up! The boy tucked in to a tangy Somerset-made wheat beer, which was really flavoursome but still had that more delicate flavour that comes from wheat beer.

As much as we love going out, it's surprising we haven't ventured to Charlotte's Bistro in all these months. Tucked away off Chiswick High Road, it's already become a favorite!

One of the best things about the bistro is the skylight at the far end. So glad we decided to sit there. They have an extensive bar menu. I would have loved to try one of the cocktails but we had just done a pub crawl, so decided to stick with beers.

The food was perfect and the portion sizes worked well for me. The peppers served with the chicken were super yummy and the chicken was cooked perfectly. My tomato soup was one of the best tomato soups I have had. The complimentary bread (also fabulous with the fresh butter) went well with the soup. The husband's sardines were yumm but the hake was just about okay.

They ran out of Eton Mess or else we would have definitely made space for dessert.

Charlotte's Bistro is reasonably priced for the ambiance and experience it offers.

I would say it's perfect for a date night!

Have to say I'm surprised by the Hardens review. Excellent Martini, original and well delivered menu, "friendly without being pushy" service, excellent attention to detail. As I'm Gluten intolerant (horribly so), nice to be treated as the client instead of the problem.

An excellent meal that is expensive can bring satisfaction, while a low priced meal that is okay can still do the trick. An excellent meal that is 'did I read that correctly' cheap is an absolute joy and of course an extremely rare find. Today, we found such a thing in Charlotte's Bistro in Chiswick. Throw in too for good measure engaging staff, a thoughtful focus on drink as well as food, and a light, comfortable dining room, and our experience there left us delighted and charmed. Our choice of Charlotte's Bistro followed a 'shout out' to Twitter for good places to eat in the Chiswick area and the Bistro clearly has a fan base. On entering, we were greeted with a smile (which always works for us), walked past a well stocked bar and were taken up to the dining area that was modern, comfortable, and with a glass roof, flooded with natural light. The menu too is fresh and offered us seemingly attractive plates that if carried off, would see the Bistro be a good step up from the average n

As well as the many trends in food to have emerged in the last year or so - gourmet Scotch eggs, historic British dishes redux, goat's curd with everything, three-meat blends - something of a fashion has sprung up for giving new restaurants names which don't quite do exactly what they say on the tin. Thus, Bar Boulud is not a bar but a seriously upscale burger joint, Riding House Cafe (more of which at a later date) isn't a cafe but a buzzy all-day brasserie, and Charlotte's Bistro isn't a bistro but a...well, here's the thing. I'm not quite sure what it is, or rather, what it wants to be. Whatever it is, it's very good, with mostly terrific food, a pleasant room, efficient service and a clearly extremely talented - not to mention charming - chef. The problem, if indeed to anyone but me it is one, is that the whole is not quite the cohesive, knock-your-socks-off sum of its parts. Just off the busy Chiswick High Road, a couple of minutes' walk

Check out Mr X’s Macken’s Scotch Beef Onglet, Smoked Bone Marrow, Charred Onions, Pickled Girolles (£16.00). I love the look of that bone marrow.

Absolutely love this restaurant. There is a bar downstairs and a dining area upstairs. The cocktails are very good. The food is lovely. They have an excellent special menu where you can get a starter, main and drink as a special deal. I suggest that you should stay away from the vegetarian dishes because they are not as good as the other meals. The dining area is very nice. However I would recommend you to make a reservation because they can get very crowded.

Nice restaurant in the heart of Chiswick. I love going there for an elegant night out in West London, the place is warm and cosy. You can enjoy a glass of wine at the entrance of the bar. The staff is really nice and some of them can advise you a meal in French which is really cool. The dishes are not expensive (around £!5) because I feel  it is a good value for money, as the food is really excellent: I got some oyster and gnocchi and it was so refreshing! This place is ideal for a date night  because it is really quiet and cosy, so it is always a pleasure to go there.

The restaurant is most of the time full so I will advise you to book a table to avoid any little queuing.

Great food and drinks and great to be able to pre book a table for New Year's Eve. We had a waitress who did seem to check up on us a little too often though. We got the feeling they were trying to rush us out after the meal to get the table back as it was starting to get busier. Bread before the meal and wine from Puglia were both delicious. I'd highly recommend coming here for the set menu dinner.

Love this place, from the friendly greetings when you arrive to the Sipsmith gin with Fever Tree tonic. Delicious food and to finish, one of the tastiest flat White coffees I've had for a long time, mine was with soya milk. It's not easy running a good restaurant consistently but I have to say, my last few visits here have been impeccable. Keep up the great work everyone and well done to all staff here.

Have visited Charlotte's Bistro a few times by now, it keeps improving and is very reasonably priced. Tom and the rest of the staff were very helpful and made me feel welcome. Quality wines and spirit and delicious food. If you are a local this is the place to hang out.

Food and service good. Would I come back - yes. The menu changes every month. Beef tartare for starter, lamb for main and mushroom risotto are recommended. Restaurant a but chilly.

My wife and I found Charlotte's Bistro on Google Maps and liked the look of the place. It did not disappoint. Affordable meals, tasty fusion cuisine, cooked timely, with a great presentation and wonderful service. It was a real treat and very affordable. Would recommend; the lunch menu was particularly good.

Great food and good value if you get the early bird offer. Excellent service but the price is a little high. Would recommend the white hand picked crab for starters.

A firm favourite of ours making the trip worthwhile. My friend and I make the most of the quieter lunchtime sessions and enjoy a glass of prosecco with our delicious food. Smart casual contemporary atmosphere with food that rarely disappoints.
