It’s been such a while since my last yum cha experience, so I looked towards our reservation at Phoenix Palace in Marylebone with much delight. A restaurant that resembles the generic setting of a typical kung fu movie, but it leaves a last impacting in terms of the food. Service leaves a bit to be to desired, but as far as yum cha, goes Phoenix Palace does pack a punch.
This is out favorite chinese restaurant in the WORLD!!!!! Our favorite dishes are: sesame prawn toast, deep fried oysters, wasabi shrimps, and of course hot and sour soup, vegatable fried rice ( smokey and taste superb ), and finally our favorite is deep fried full seabass fish with garlic and herbs spicy sauce!!! Dont forget to order the green tea on the side to restore your taste buds every bite!

Great Food, Great Service, Big Menu
It has been a long time since i have been here and glad to say the food and service is second to none.
They have had a refurb since the time i visited but it has been done well.
I do believe they might now have a private dining area so do ask if this is something you would be interested in.
From the entrance lobby you will see a board of all the celebrities that have visited.
This time i ordered the following:
1. Chicken in Black Bean on Crispy noodle
2. Lime Freeze Mocktail to drink
Mocktail was like a lemon and lime sorbet and was great, it lasted the whole meal as it melts slowly and very re-freshing. They have a few mocktails but glad we went for this one.
Food arrived promptly and hot and Pheonix Palace is where you get food the way you think it will taste and does not disappoint. There is no twist or infusion just what you order is what you get and nothing wrong with that.
Pleasant surrounding and lighting is good.
The ambient sound can be a little loud but you can still hear when in conversation but you have to pay a little attention....
I would be happy to re-visit and walking distance from Baker Street station so very easy to get to.
I found we had great service but we did go on Wednesday at 6.30pm so it was only starting to get busy so maybe the best time to go.
Menu is vast with great selection for all including dim sum and vegi options.
Great place to enjoy extensive Chinese cuisine especially dim-sums. On Sundays, they do special dim-sums. Peking duck with Rice Rolls and plum Sauce lives up to its expectations. Schezuan squid was very delicious.
It was tough to get seating on Sunday but patience paid off. As place is generally heaving, reservations are recommended.

Very nice decor and authentic atmosphere, lively and yet not too loud. Our food was on the better end of medium quality - I found some of the dishes a little heavy due to thick sauce. But the flavours were were interesting enough to get me curious about other dishes - menu is extensive and I will definitely go back to try more. My dishes matched nicely with Torrontes Riesling. Good value for money.

I have to say I was quite disappointed by the crispy Wasabi Prawns we ordered this time. The wasabi sauce lacked the pungent kick you get when you eat natural wasabi sauce and definitely tasted like a cheap quality wasabi flavoring added to mayonnaise!
Phoenix palace serves delicious dim sum at a little above average prices. What i had was really well cooked, with perfect cheung fun and tasty accompanying sauces, big juicy pork buns and the second best rice and chicken pot I've tasted. However the service charge doesn't represent the service which is lacking in any charm and customer attention. This needs work!
Me and my husband really like this place. One of our regulars for Chinese food. We usually order wasabi prawns for starters - one of the best we've ever had. Our other regular dishes are peking duck and laoganma chicken. Their portions are big enough for sharing. Set in a typical Chinese setting this restaurant is quite big. This place is often visited by famous movie stars, politicians and other celebrities. On one of the walls in the restaurant you'll see pictures of 'who's who', who have dined here. My husband also happened to meet Sachin Tendulkar (famous indian cricketer) once here.
I’ve only ever been here for dinner over the past 20+ years and quality of food has always been great. So came here for dim sum. Food was just as good. There’s a good selection of dim sum available and some new style ones like the steam rice rolls with crispy dough and prawns. Spare ribs were quite large compared to other restaurants. The beef crispy noodles and ho fun dish was nasty, with a good amount of beef. I wasn’t disappointed.
Excellent and authentic Cantonese cuisine in London! We ordered a mixture of classic dishes and they all exceeded our expectations. I recommend the hot and sour soup, the aromatic duck, yuk sung lettuce wraps, prawn cheung fun and the scallops with asparagus. The quality of the food is very good and there is a good variety of seafood on the menu.
If you looking for High grade food , always fresh and delicious, beautiful decor this is the place to go Phoenix Palace ! 4 meat rotisserie platter is absolutely delicious. Fresh Dim Sum Good for couples for romantic dinner. Absolutely recommended for families, kids love the food and love the big fish tank located in front of the restaurant. Overall love it ! Highly recommend the place !
This place is fantastic for authentic tasting Chinese food in the heart of Central London. As well as delicious food the place has a great and buzzing atmosphere, with great decor, and continues to host many famous faces! Will certainly be back!
Good dim sum place that’s made very fresh. Forgot to take photos but was impressed with most food. Though fried rice and noodles were a bit oily, pork bun wasn’t really for me and the mango pomelo sago was a bit too sweet for me, everything else were really good. It’s pricey but it’s not bad for the standard you get. A big plus is that you could book tables there
This is an amazing Chinese restaurant. The food is tasty, the service was very good with just the right amount of attentiveness shown, and no sense of rushing us to finish. We enjoyed the chicken with black bean sauce and the crispy beef with chili. We also had fried rice. The portions are good size and we did not leave hungry. We also had some tea and desert which I recommend to wind up a delicious meal. My wife enjoyed the lemon sorbet and I had the coconut pudding which is more like a coconut custard. Both were very good. We highly recommend this restaurant, and as you will see, it is very well decorated. This is our new go to Chinese restaurant when we are in London.
I have never been here before and I wasn't disappointed. Beautiful place and a lovely atmosphere. The service was good and we never felt pressure to hurry or to take our orders. We wanted to taste as many things as possible so we ordered a mixture of dim sum. We tried things we never had before which didn't always go in our favour but its good to taste new flavours and have new experiences. I loved the wasabi and prawn dumpling I was worried the wasabi would be really overpowering but it was just perfect! Also really enjoyed the calamari with chilli, garlic and peppercorn salt. And the crispy lobster dumpling was a first for me and I was not disappointed. The mini rib in black bean sauce was not for me unfortunately but it maybe popular with others. But definitely no short of options for everyone's taste! We washed it all down with a pot of jasmine tea. Overall we loved our experience here and definitely recommend!

Went to this Chinese restaurant with a bunch of friends to celebrate pre Christmas holiday. Each seat was provided a special Christmas gift
Like the space and display of the restaurant cuz it genuinely regenerate the atmosphere of a traditional Chinese restaurant, and the most importantly, was attracted by its tidiness and the smell-free environment
Various options, reasonable price. All the dishes we had were well seasoned. The tastes were neither greasy or salty, meats such as prawn, chicken, beef (accompanied by other vegetables or mushrooms) were delicious.
A bit sad that they did not offer turnip cakes when we visited. Will definitely try it next time!
We had reservations for 3/14/23, I had the sweet and sour chicken. The food was very good and the waiters very attentive without being overbearing. The restaurant itself looks amazing! The only problem was that I got my meal about five minutes before my friend got his. We each ordered steamed rice with our meals and they brought one pot of rice with two servings of rice for both of us to share. Maybe this is normal service for them, but we were a bit confused. But I would still recommend this restaurant.
