We had the salted beef and salmon & cream cheese bagels. They were both very good and comparable with the ones served at a more popular establishment nearby. A big plus is there’s no line so less wait, and staff is friendly.
Going to sound against the grain line another local guide and say that the salt beef bagel here was noticeably better than Beigel Bake next door (tried both at the same time to compare objectively). The beef here are much juicier, better filled portion wise, and generally more finger licking good. Highly recommended if they are open.
Had to come here given the rich history of competition between the Beigel Shop and Beigel Bake next door. I'll leave it up to you to decide which is better, but do be sure to buy a beigel from both shops and compare.
The famous rainbow bagels for one pound.gracious host.place is open 24 hours.alot of items to eat and its Uber affordable and tasty.they have alot of smears for the bagels and you can choose to put in the rainbow bagels
A trip to London’s Brick Lane would not be complete without a visit to one of the two iconic bagel shops. Brick Lane is now more renowned for its curry houses so the two bagel shops hark back to older times. The Beigel Shop, the one with the yellow shop front, was established in 1855 when the area was home to a large Jewish community.
Small shop with unbeatable priced food. I had the salmon cheese bagel which was great and my friend had the salt beef sandwich and said he didn't need to go to Selfridges for his salt beef fix
It's not a big secret to the people I know that I love bagels. They are the best thing to happen in food since that Sandwich bloke thought of putting two bits of a loaf around some filling. Or sliced bread, if you'd prefer a shorter hyperbolas analogy.
Thus as I stumbled home from Shoreditch via Brick Lane in the wee small hours of Monday (I really should take more Mondays off) I did my best moth impression and was drawn to the gleaming yellow lights of this 24 hour emporium of bagel.
I have been told of the rivalry between this fine establishment and that of its more illustrious neighbour Beigal Bakes, but this didn't really feature in my mind as I stuck my blurry face into a bagel thick with salt beef. It was beautiful - generously proportioned, cheap and tasty. As drunk food goes, it beats a kebab everyday of the week.
Leading up to this trip I received loads of dining tips from friends and readers including a visit to the Beigel Shop for a soft, fresh bagel loaded with pickles and cream cheese with chives. Incredibly cheap and absolutely worth the visit.

As a little girl I use to go hand in hand with my dad, exploring the busy streets of Sunday markets in Brick Lane. The railway arches and a long street of restaurants with curries houses just by the end of Brick Lane there are two famous Bagel shops that open 24/7. On Sundays both these shops have long queues extend to the outside of a street. Even superstar diva Mariah Carey made a trip to Brick Lane just for the Bagels! The reason being is the bagels are so damn cheap! With it’s bright yellow and red signage storefront it stands out from the crowd during the day & night. Beigel Shop can get you a filled bagel and a cake for under £5.
Beigel Shop is in a fantastic location and great to pop into after a browse of Brick Lane's quirky shops and market stalls. This place serves a huge variety of delicious bagel fillings for extremely cheap. It's stays open 24/7 if you also want to grab a bite after a night out and always seems to be bustling and full, often causing queues out the door around lunch. My favourite is the classic salmon and cream cheese bagel, teamed with a slice of cheesecake. Hearty and delicious!
This was absolutely delicious and really not overhyped. Definitely a must try when in London. The salt beef is amazing, and goes so well with the pickles and the sharp mustard. The bagel took a backseat for me but that's fine.
The queue looks long, but it moves really fast as there are multiple staff members to take your order. Best figure out what you want before you reach the head of the queue!
This is the best salt beef on brick lane! Loved the smell of freshly baked bagels upon entering. The queue looks long but it sure speeds up fast. The staff are super friendly and swift at taking orders. I chose the well known salt beef with mustard. The mustard was way too sharp for me but the salt beef was absolutely delicious. The bagel was fresh and what I expected. Loved seeing the bagels getting baked in the ovens as I queued up. Would come back to try the salt beef again if I’m nearby.
Delicious, authentic food, I tried it multiple times, multiple flavors, the classic one is still the best, followed by the salmon and cream cheese. Traditional bagel is a bit hard to chew, so I prefer the seeded bagel. It's cheap and a classic, can't go wrong with this one. Lines are long during lunch time but it goes pretty quick. Just hang in there.

Yes there is a queue on weekends but it goes fast and for sure worth the wait.

Did I just fell in love with Bagels again?! Yes!! Had the smoked salmon cream cheese but will definitely come back for the salt beef. Super quick service and friendly staffs. Will come back!
The shop is famous for its salted beef bagel and I am amazed by it generous portions of salted beef though it costs me around £6! I also have a salmon cream cheese one for around £3. Both are good but the beef one is better! There is always a queue but the line goes very fast so just queue and take out your money!
This bagel shop in the best in the UK. Made on site , always very fresh. Great variety.
Very well known and popular , so be prepared to wait in line but the service is quick and worth waiting...

Yummy! The salt beef sandwich was to die for. Such generous portion of beef with a delicious pickle. I had it with French mustard which perfectly complemented the saltiness of the tender melt in your mouth beef. Great value. Sadly there was no room for their amazing cheesecake. Maybe next time...
Second time here - first time I came was in Winter in 2019. Really enjoy the salt beef bagel with mustard and pickles - love how sharp the mustard is. The queue moves quickly (make sure you know what you want before your turn!)
They do accept card - was a little afraid they wouldn’t but they do!
Sadly there wasn’t minestrone soup today but it was still a good meal.
