This place was close to our Air BNB and did not disappoint. Great service and the best pizza I have had outside it Europe. Would highly recommend.
This place is great for grabbing a pizza with friends. The ambience is lovely and the wine is good. Love how fresh the ingredients are and the crust is good. Prices are good too.
I remember walking past Pizza East‘s Portobello Road branch and something about the place just captivated me. Ever since I made a mental note in my head to definitely pay a visit someday for a nice casual meal. The restaurant looks like a Georgian pub on the outside and is located quite at the heart of the renowned Portobello Market. The setting is really bright, with plenty of natural light. There’re a few tables for al fresco dining as well. It is of two-storey with an upstairs area too. The restaurant in overall has a nice buzzing but laid-back vibe.
Pizza east is probably one of the coolest pizza places I have been to .... The ambience, service and of pizza are great .... Highly recommend....

Pizza East on Portobello Road is one of those places that is so close to home I’ve never actually got around to going there. Last week I decided to end my ridiculous trend of tubing to the distant Eastern realms of London whenever I want to eat out, and instead made the most of having a little bit of the East on my doorstep.

In my recent review of Egg Break, I exalted the fabulous Soho House brand for their wonderful club houses, restaurants and hotels. Step into any venue associated with Soho House and you know you’re going to get a buzzy atmosphere, great food and friendly service. There’s a real home-away-from-home feel about the brand created by visionary entrepreneur, Nick Jones and I know I will always have a relaxed and fun time at his venues.The Pizza East brand is no exception and when I walked into the Portobello branch we immediately felt the lively atmosphere in a restaurant mostly full of yummy mummies – well it was Notting Hill… It was perfect for lunch with my friend Claire, a new mum herself, as she didn’t have to worry about her little son being noisy or crying.I love the casual, rustic decor that’s a staple for the Soho House brand, with the homey tiled floors, reclaimed wood and shabby chic chairs and tables. There’s a bar and coffee counter at the back and lots of cute touches such as the weighing scales, barrels and hessian bags on the walls.With the open kitchen you can see the chefs at work and the wood-fire pizza oven roaring in the back ground. The name of the restaurant may seem a little odd as we’re in West London, but it comes from the original branch of Pizza East in Shoreditch. Where the original had a more trendy warehouse vibe, Pizza East Portobello, is more intimate and as a converted pub, it has a lovely local and cosy feel to it. There’s also one in Kentish Town and they’ve gone international with a branch in Istanbul, plus they’re competing with some of the world’s best pizzas with a branch in Chicago.
Great selection of food and drinks. The atmosphere is lovely. Recommend the coffees and the salmon and avocado on toast. I'd recommend any of the stone baked pizzas! 💜💜💜

As pizzas são qualquer coisa de maravilhoso, com uma massa que oscila entre o crocante e o denso/fofo. Só provando!
As entradas de queijos e enchidos são igualmente apetecíveis; escolhemos um trio composto de Burrata, bresaola e parmesão.
A barriga de porco estava com a respectiva pele crocante no ponto e vinha acompanhada por lentilhas, batata assada e uma maionese densa e com um toque interessante de vinagre.
As sobremesas não conseguiram ser comidas, por incapacidade dos estômagos dos comensais.
Recomendo. Vale pela cozinha estupenda, decoração, ambiente e simpatia do staff!
One of my favourite companies is the Soho House group. Their private members clubs are second to none – an evening on the roof terrace at Shoreditch House with its swimming pool and loungers is hard to beat. The group owns a number of restaurants including Chicken Shop, which I wrote about recently.
Without a doubt my favourite pizza place in London. The starters are great and not too filling leaving you room for some amazing pizza. The mac n cheese is rich and cheesy, just how it should be!
Simply The Best! Was so pleased to return back to Pizza East Portobello.
The venue itself is so beautiful with windows the whole way around you can enjoy in any weather. New extra outdoor seating available too!
The menu, which I love always changes a little every time I go had some extra special new features like a Crab Bruschetta & Lemon Pie. We ended up spending 4hrs at lunch we had such a wonderful time with the incredibly fabulous staff - I love also to watch the chefs in the pizza kitchen right there, adds an excellent atmosphere!

Pizza East is an affordable pizza place with generous slices of goodness that are worth every pound. The menu ranges from drinks and pizza to main meals such as pasta and even desserts. It is a noisy and lively atmosphere. The service is friendly and helpful and most importantly the pizzas are delicious. Our favorite in the mushroom pizza.
Enjoyed our visit here. I'd booked for the wrong Sunday, but the staff were excellent in reassuring us that they could squeeze us in; not easy given we had a baby pram with us. But squeeze us in they did, and I'm glad of it. The pizza was pretty good - thin crust and straight out of the oven. Calamari was a generous serving, and had other seafood like prawns too. Had to get the mac and cheese, and I'm glad we did, although it is very, very rich as a side dish - it could easily be main for one person, or would be good for 3/4 to share.

You only need to know one thing....the pizza is incredible. The rest is academic. We had lunch here mid week. It got a little busy and the service slowed down a little but was ok nevertheless. Staff were all friendly. The place has a cool vibe with great decor. Worth visiting.

Beautiful and cozy place, really nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The plates were nice, some could have been better but I enjoyed it. The pizza is really good!!
Fab pizzeria. The Truffle Arancini and Roast Calabrian Potatoes were fantastic. The Sicilian Spicy Sausage and crispy Kale was lovely. Good wine list too.
Pizza is somewhere in between the traditional thin and crispy pizza and the Neapolitan sourdough type. Although smaller than other pizzas I’ve had for (less money!) was very tasty, albeit a little overpriced for the market bracket.
Always the best food served ... the quality, taste and service is still fantastic !
The burrata/morzerella cheese on the pizza is so delicious and creamy. The lamb meatball pasta there is my son's favourite, he requests to come here over and over again for the meatballs.
