I absolutely loved the Rum Kitchen, the food is fab and the portion sizes... well.... you won't leave the place hungry that's for sure!!! The rum cocktails are so amazing too. I'm defiantly coming back with my family, I just wish there was a Rum Kitchen near where I live. Hint hint

Amazing atmosphere, the best music and jerk chicken! Our waitress Tanya was the best! Can't wait to visit again

Good experience overall. Food of good quality and reasonably priced. Friendly service. Quick service as expected on a quiet night.

A beautifully presented restaurant located in car baby street. Exterior and interior looks great! The vibe and ambience In Rum Kitchen has you feeling relaxed and almost as though you’re on vacation. We loved the food. Very flavoursome and mouth watering. The jerk chicken bun and proper fried prawns were our fave! Great thing about this place is that they had a decent variety of vegetarian food too which was very useful for us as we were lunching with a friend who eats no meat! The only negative points I have is that the service was super slow. Food took ages to arrive and then we were informed that the Mac n cheese had run out. However when we recurved our food they had served us some mac n cheese but it appeared to have been either old or just burnt as it was abit dry and stale.

5* for Ambience
5* for the Cool staff
5* for the ‘feel good’ factor

Visited twice on our trip to London and fell for it. Perfect if you want to let your hair lose late in the night and especially for the after party drinks..

Decor was excellent. Food was tasty, and quite a quirky selection of mixed cuisine. Drinks, mostly rum based, were delicious. Servers were a little snooty though. But I think it’s a nice enough place that I’ll return in spite of the cold service.

Late reservation on a Friday, somehow managed a table! Awesome vibe as we walked in... Reggae mixed with Hip Hop. Ribs, Wings, Pulled Pork, Cuba Libres. A shout out to Joya, the server with smiles for miles! Till the next time...

Today I decided to come to the rum kitchen for lunch with my friend it's a nice place of the beaten track if you want to get away from the hustle & bustle of Oxford Street. I ordred the sea breeze mocktail and that was a lovely drink then for mains I ordred the jerck chicken supreme with yam mash & share a side of plantain the food was lovely & spicy I would defo come back again and then finished off with a fresh mint tea. Lovely ambiouns.

Set in a very nice atmosphere in the middle of Soho at Kingley Court. Food was good, but I wouldn't say more than that. The menu was quite short as they don't have that many options. This is not necessarily a bad thing at all, but the options didn't all appeal to me. The quality was good though and I really liked the plates they were served in. Waiters were nice, but sometimes slow to notice us. Drinks were delicious.

There are always queues at this Thursdays to Saturdays for dinner times, so booking is highly recommended (at least one week in advance!).

Having taken a break from reviewing I'm now back and ready to roll.

First up was Rum Kitchen. I met up with a mate from back home and a few others and we enjoyed a few beers and drinks here on a Thursday.

I'm gonna say, the best part was the music. If you like your hip-hop, get here for some tunes and friendly vibes. As always, I was hungry so we got some food too.

I went with the Twist Burger (chicken w/ tomato, lettuce, hoisin mayo and sriracha) which was tasty. The right amount of spice and good tender chicken pieces. Definitely no complaints from me on this one.

The sweet potato fries were delicious too and they really coated and cooked them well.

The service was friendly but they did seem pretty rushed so there were a few waits here and there. No big deal though.

Would return!

This is a mixed review.

Everything was awesome except for the PUMPKIN curry which I had been looking forward to ever since I first read their menu like a year ago. Unfortunately it had 3 titchy pieces of pumpkin in a sea of chickpeas and zero sign of coconut or potato as described. The flavour was great but the quantity of the main ingredient was very disappointing.

As for the rest...

Gorgeous food! To start, salt fish fritters (which I could eat 10 plates of) and Jerk chicken thighs, deliciously authentic. For mains, my lack of pumpkin aside, the flavours were gorgeous, the man had a mutton curry which he would very much recommend. The pulled pork bun was also a favourite with one of my guests.

Cocktails are THE BEST, with Mai Thai being my favourite, served in a 2-faced glass.

Service was efficient once we were sat down but absolutely book in advance. We had to wait for a while for our table and were told to get a drink from bar whilst we waited but didn't get served the whole time as they were so busy.

The atmosphere is brilliant here, in a dimly lit quirky room with colourful wall panels and interesting lights made from barrels. A great place to go with friends or for a date night with plenty of rum choice to put you in a happy mood. And of course you're in the wonderful Kingly Court, an impressive hideaway in the middle of a busy city, perfect location for a Friday night out!

Nice spot with loads of vibes (especially on the weekends). Best to make reservations. Food is good for most parts (salted at times) but flavourful but limited variety especially for vegans/pescatarians. Drinks are the best here and happy hour is even better with their 2 for 1 specials. Definitely a great space to vibes with friends/family with an amazing blend of Caribbean cuisine and music.

The service and drink quality are what stood out the most for us. Marinela and the rest of the crew were very helpful and fun! The drinks were a great value and we watched them pour the shots with a pretty heavy hand which was amazing 😆 We shared the dirty fries which were delicious! We plan to come back again before we leave London.

We went for drinks on Friday afternoon. We had the window seat so had a great view out into the courtyard. Whoever was in control of the playlist I'd give them a 10/10 for vibes. Cocktails were really tasty and the staff were really friendly too. Take advantage of the 241 deal!! Definitely will be coming back for food as well next time.

We are currently in town visiting from NY and wanted to support a Caribbean business, we came across The Rum Kitchen while on Oxford and we were instantly intrigued. The place did not disappoint, great food and drinks. Friendly staff and excellent service, thank you! Love and light from your Caribbean family and continued success in your business. 😀

The food here was entirely too good! I went during the workday and so it wasn’t packed, but busy. The food was prepared in a timely manner. My mango mojito was a bit lacking but the delicious food and great service made me not care.

Excellent venue, service and food. We found the music too loud for lunchtime and one of our party was hearing impaired and struggled. We did mention it at the time. Nicoleta looked after us very well and we were very impressed with her. Please pass on our thanks and appreciation.

Another fun visit to Rum Kitchen, Really enjoyed the crispy prawns and wings! The flowing cocktails were really nice and a good selection. It was busy but Jordon & Afo were attentive. Overall a good day!

Such a gem! Found purely by chance.. Googled 'Happy Hour' and Rum Kitchen took our fancy. Set in Kingly Court, which is seriously fabulous! A mini Covent Garden. It was busy and did take some time to get served. That aside, it had a great atmosphere and good vipe. Average age, 25 to 30, ish? Still felt extremely welcome and at ease. Buy 1 get 1 free cocktail couple of hours!

Visited this restaurant with my sister a couple days ago. I’ve been to a number of Caribbean restaurants both in and outside of London, so I’m well seasoned in terms of knowing what to expect. Finding the restaurant was a little tricky, (GPS) wasn’t accurate at no fault of the restaurant, but with some guessing we nailed it eventually. We really liked the appearance of the restaurant as we thought it was a resembled food outlets in Jamaica. The food and service was spot on too. We ordered boneless jerk chicken served with rice and peas, coleslaw and plantin. Would have been nice to get fried dumplin too :(. My sister added mac and cheese, which was a hit. I must say, it’s worth documenting on your menu that lactose intolerant people should beware. Drinks were great too, although the portions were on the smaller side. The lady that served us was really friendly. I think her name was India or Indeia? She engaged in conversation and made settling down more easy. She helped us with the menu and shared her opinion on the drinks. She’s definitely a steward and advocate of the restaurant. We’ll definitely ensure we come back, next time with more family and friends ⭐️ Well done guys.
