A tiny but traditional and authentic Italian in a wonderful area makes this a hidden gem. The staff are friendly and have a good knowledge of the menu to recommend dishes and give a good impression of it being a family run affair. The menu isn’t massive but there is a good mix. Bottled beers are offered and there’s a good number of wines at sensible prices. The octopus starter was delightful in terms of both presentation and taste. We had been warned that the seafood risotto would come with a bit of a wait however this was a lot longer in reality than suggested and unfortunately the dish was rather dry on arrival. Portion size was good though and, again, presentation decent. Toilets are down the steep stairs in the basement and despite being tiny have been designed to maximise space cleverly. With the small number of tables in the restaurant though there’s unlike to be a need to wait. Overall it’s a pleasant independent place with a relaxing and unique atmosphere in the area; certainly worth checking out.
Really good experience! A friend of mine recommended me this place so I booked a table for 3. Cute and cosy environment. The 2 waitress were very welcoming and also the chef had a friendly approach. Even though we were a bit doubtful about what to order, Sarah, the waitress, was patiently explaining us every dish. After a little chat with her, we realised about her passion for her country, Italy. Her dedication and love for her country made us enjoy even more the delicious food. Exquisite selection of wines in the menu! I’ll definitely go again and I highly recommend this place to everyone if you love Italy as much as I love it.
Had a delicious carbonara and potato-layered seabass. Service was excellent, atmosphere cozy.
