Great food at an affordable price. On certains day, depending on the season, you could get to try out some specials that's not on the menu, which i think is really cool. The shop is very authentic, just like the ones in Japan, very humble and relaxed. It feels really nostalgic going there.
The staff are super friendly, really nice service. I think it's the best you're going to find in London, unless you want to fork out an arm and leg just to sit in a fancy decorated space for the same quality of food.
If only I lived in walking distance! Having recently returned from a trip to Japan this sushi bar made me feel utterly nostalgic. It's the most authentic sushi bar I have found in London, or in fact have been to anywhere outside Japan. The service was incredibly friendly and unmistakably Japanese, the fish as fresh and tasty as it comes and they even served a specialty I didn't expect to see outside Japan: sea urchin roe. I also tried the marbled beef, which with the sticky sauce was an absolute delight. Having found this bar has made me genuinely happy to live in London and I will return as often as I can!
Fresh, simple, and tasty sushi at a very reasonable price. A cool hole-in-the-wall that I was highly satisfied with! Would definitely visit again.

Don’t you love it when you find a real gem? That’s how I felt when I rediscovered Sushi Show in Angel Islington. It is one of those hole in the wall places, perched in Camden Passageways, Sushi Show has several seats. 10 seats inside and 8 outside, so either grab a takeaway or visit during quiet hours. Run by Kaz Tateishi he opened the restaurant in October 2014, going to Billingsgate market seeking for the freshest fish to use for sushi.
No place in London will you find sushi pr maki rolls for £1.80! This place gets the pricing and wasabi bang on! It's on my list of must go to places in London.
Must. Go. Only the loveliest service and the freshest ingredients. Tucked away on Islington high st, this cozy spot serves my favourite Japanese potato salad and a proper cup of miso.
Walking around Angel with my wife and daughter, we found a little new sushi spot, one of those traditional, family and authentic Japanese eight seats restaurants with more than a lovely staff, great plain atmosphere, really fresh ingredients and the most important thing, very good sushi.
Sometimes, less is more, and definitely this is one of those cases, a humble and unpretentious menu with a few twist, like the saba (mackerel) dynamite maki or the traditional (huge one) chicken teriyaki futomaki as well. The otoro nigiri (faty tuna sushi) and the uni (sea urchin) gunkan were amazing, the rice was at the proper temperature, size and seasoning, they were simple, perfect and fast.
They also have a little grocery market were you could buy some Japanese candies, sodas, snacks, sauces, ice creams, ingredients to cook at home, and pre -packed sushi (too cold for my taste, I must say) on a side of the store, so you may think twice before to go to London central to buy good nihon stuff. If you worried about the prices, take it easy, they 100% reasonable.
If you are a real Sushi Lover who loves to enjoy a good piece of sushi with a nice sake or cold Japanese beer, let me tell you… They don’t have alcohol license, so you must do what I did, drink a Ramune or a green tea!
We really enjoyed the experience, definitely we are going back, to be honest, I cannot wait to do it!
Domo arigato Sushi Show, and for the rest of you guys, itadakimasu ^O^
Cute little authentic sushi place near Angel station! They mainly serve take away as they have only 4 seats inside the cafe. The sushi is freshly prepared and reasonably priced. They have a fairly wide selection of sushi so people can order whichever they like.
A nice little sushi spot that serves authentic Japanese sushi. The fish is very fresh here but missing the proper seating to fully enjoy the experience. It’s more of a cafe style with limited seating. Great for grab and go and takeout.
Good authentic sushi at a decent price. Freshly made. It’s a small place and hard to get a table if it’s busy.
Freshly made, fresh ingredients. No “proper” dine in space so no service charge if you “eat in”.
Order sushi platter for two, lots of varieties, good for people who don’t know how to choose
Really tasty and great service. A tiny bit pricey but really worth it! Fresh and decent sized pieces. They use REAL Snowcrab in California Rolls! Medium fatty toro melts in the mouth!

Run by a Japanese family, this small spot offers high quality traditional Japanese food. NPV - recommend it for a fast, traditional, and high quality Japanese meal in the heart of Angel area

This is the most authentic Japanese family-run sushi shop you could possibly find. Their sushi quality is amazing and comes at a great price point. It’s mostly used as a takeaway but they do have seating options by the counter and at the back. Just call to book in advance. Apart from sushi they have other traditional dishes. We really liked their delicious eel donburi! There’s no alcohol served but you can BYOB or just enjoy plenty of green tea.
Really fresh sashimi! Definitely come back.
Sushi is pretty high quality, such a delight to have it for this price. The portion of the rice is perfect but hope neta could go a bit thicker even if they have to raise the price (Still very good) gyudong and chicken teriyaki are good too, especially chicken teriyaki is highly recommended if you want hot meals. - tender, soft and the chicken soaked up the sauce pretty well. Loooved it. Gonna try everything there!
Good little gem in the area that opened by Japanese. Good price and fresh sushi. Very limited seats available.
Had the most beautiful, fresh sushi for lunch. The ingredients were high quality and the rice wasn’t gluey or dried out (like it often is at Wasabi or Itsu). Easily the best I’ve had in London. Also really nice to support a small business rather than a big chain.
