Loved this place. So cosy and classy. Cocktails were amazing. Great location, Harrods is a stones throw away! Yes the food is pricey but you get what you pay for, there's a reason why food is cheap! Staff were lovely and attentive. Would definitely recommend!

Located opposite Harrod’s on Brompton Road, Mamounia Lounge Knightsbridge promises Middle Eastern culinary delights, inspired cocktails, an outdoor shisha lounge and entertainment too.

Mamounia has an Arabic themed décor reflected in the patterns and mosaics. This is paired with a baroque style best demonstrated by the enormous chandeliers and red velvet drape spread across the restaurant space. This makes an interesting contrast as Mamounia isn't trying to recreate a Moroccan styled restaurant, instead it is aiming for an eclectic mix.

Despite the decadent décor, there is a relaxed atmosphere to the restaurant, and as a results would be an ideal place for laid back group dining weather for lunch or dinner.

If you like being entertained whilst eating then Mamounia is the place for you, as post 9pm they have an array of belly-dancers and even DJs, Mamounia Lounge Knightsbridge also has a sister restaurant in Mayfair which matches the décor, cuisine and entertainment.

Would I Want Seconds?

Mamounia Lounge Mayfair has an impressive eclectic cocktail list crafted by expert mixologist which include Golden Oasis and Prince of Sahara. We tried the Mamounia Special which was similar to a Mojito and exactly what we needed to cool down on a searing hot day.

To start, we ordered a well spiced Batata Harra and Hommus Kawarma which consisted of a creamy chickpea puree topped with medallions of lamb and pine nuts. Both starters arrived in good time of being ordered and were a good portion size to start our meal with.

For our main course I ordered the Chicken Kafta which were grilled skewers of minced chicken with fresh coriander, garlic, green and red peppers. I was very impressed with this dish as the chicken was incredibly moist and tender, to the extent that it literally melted in the mouth. Although Chicken Kafta is probably a dish you can order in many restaurants in London, the dish served here was of a superior quality and definitely one of the best minced chicken skewers I’ve had!

My lovely dining companion choose the Grilled Lamb Cutlets and was equally impressed with the moist texture of the lamb. The seasoning on both dishes was also divine and added a beautiful extra layer to the dish. We had sides of rice and more Batata Hara with our food and although this was quite a large meal we had to try some desserts before we left!

Although Mamounia have a selection of traditional Moroccan and Lebanese desserts, I surrendered to my chocolate craving and ordered the Homemade Chocolate Fondant with vanilla ice cream and fresh fruits. As this desert is made to order it took about ten minutes to arrive but this provided us with the time to digest our previous courses! When the Chocolate Fondant arrived it was warm and deliciously creamy and made an gorgeous paring with the ice cream. The fruits which were mostly an assortment of berries added a welcome tangy kick to the sweet flavour.

My dining companion ordered the Selection of Baklava but sadly these didn't live up to our expectations. The baklava were not the traditional simple selection we thought we ordered and they were neither crispy or sweet. I have certainly had better baklava before. However this was the only criticism of the food itself and they redeemed themselves by serving the perfect Moroccan Tea.

Can I Afford Seconds?

Although located in Knightsbridge, Mamounia isn’t an overly expensive restaurant, especially for the quality of food served.

Mezze starters here range from £6 - £9 and are perfect for sharing. Main courses including the Tagines start at £14 and desserts are also in the £6 range and the unique range of cocktails are approximately £8.

Overall? 3.5/5

The food at Mamounia Lounge Knightsbridge was definitely the highlight of the experience.

The service varied between trying too hard to not paying much attention, but this may be because they seemed to be training new staff the day we visited.

We also didn’t hang around for the entertainment as we were there for the food but if you like to party after your meal, I hear this is the place to go.

With its dark, slick, interior and loud pumping music, you’d be forgiven for thinking you’ve entered into a nightclub. But no, Mamounia is a classy Middle-Eastern restaurant set in the prime location of Mayfair. The DJ and live set, blasts modern tunes mixed with Arabian music. This fusion filters through to the menu, where a few middle-eastern dishes get a European remix.

Just a stone's throw from Harrods in Knightsbridge is Mamounia Lounge, a restaurant serving traditional Moroccan and Lebanese cuisine and a bar with expert mixologists, plus a sister restaurant in the equally flashy, upscale district of Mayfair.

Mamounia Lounge is made for socializing: from the fragrant wafts of shisha that welcome you at the entrance (the restaurant's outdoor terrace is perfect for enjoying shisha pre- or post-meal), to the main restaurant which leads to the bar and lounge area, it's opulent in decor and perfect for settling your tired self into after an exhausting day of shopping Knightsbridge. I totally get it.

Just a stone's throw from Harrods in Knightsbridge is Mamounia Lounge, a restaurant serving traditional Moroccan and Lebanese cuisine and a bar with expert mixologists, plus a sister restaurant in the equally flashy, upscale district of Mayfair. We arrived on Friday night amidst a scene of Porsches roaring down Brompton Road and tired looking shoppers with Mulberry and Harvey Nichols shopping bags dangling from their arms. Having just finished a day's work (and a week chock full of socializing), all I really wanted to do was collapse in a puddle: Mamounia Lounge seemed just the place to do it.

It's the type of place you'd want to arrive at with a gaggle of girlfriends, recapping your new purchases and laughing the night away with a cocktail in hand. It's fun, and the staff are there to ensure you're enjoying yourself - without interfering too much, making recommendations when prompted and leaving you alone to chat when you're deep into a debate about Season 4 of Game of Thrones.

As we sipped our summery cocktails and perused the menu, I started to get all boring again by suggesting we order tabouleh and hummus to start (I always order tabouleh and hummus) before John said, "Why don't we try something different and try the pastilla of chicken instead?"

I'm so glad that he did, because that little parcel of filo pastry baked with shredded saffron chicken, almonds, and a dusting of icing sugar, glazed with an orange reduction, was magical.

I haven't had an 'OMG!' moment in a restaurant for a while, but this pastilla of chicken definitely warranted that reaction. The crispy outer shell of the filo pastry gave way to a beautifully nutty flavor within - a bit like a mini Moroccan chicken pot pie. I'm a huge fan of sweet and savoury though, so it's no surprise that I liked this dish so much.

We also ordered a side of hummus and pita, just to line our stomachs, and I have to say - no matter what, hummus and pita from a restaurant will always taste 100 times better than the bland hummus and dry pita you buy in store (or even make at home). Somehow, this hummus was creamy smooth and the pita, little fluffy clouds of warm bread (not to mention - the presentation was pretty impressive). Heaven.

By the time I made it back to our table, our main courses had arrived and I was really looking forward to my lamb tagine - again, something you can make yourself at home but it never tastes as good as it should.

Case in point: the cous cous was light and perfectly cooked (mine's always either over or under cooked, yikes!) and the lamb, tender and gently falling apart in the tagine. I loved the delicate flavors of the broth that was served alongside my dish, which enhanced the hearty, warming taste of the tagine, rather than detracted. No evidence of tinned veg or tomatoes here - everything was fresh and cooked with precision and care.

John's mixed grill (why do guys ALWAYS order a mixed grill?) was equally delicious and a great contrast to my tagine: the spiced meats were smoky and perfectly grilled (the lamb medallions were my personal favorite!).

Food: average, nothing special. Definitely tasty but not delicious and certainly not good enough to revisit. Service: really speedy so that was great. Atmosphere: really pretty from inside genuinely good decor especially if you're on a date. Overall it's a good place to go once but not one of those regulars.

Overall we had a fantastic time at Mamounia, and I would definitely go back. It would be great fun in Summer as you can sit outside and have Shisha - it was just far too cold Saturday night for us to even dare to brave it! All of the food was delicious, my only disappointment was the very loud music, the stodgy dessert, and also I found it weird how the staff uniforms were tracksuits...? But maybe that's just me. Despite those small annoyances, I would highly recommend a visit! I'm still drooling just thinking about that lamb!

For a perfect Friday night, my man and I had a pleasure to dine at Mamounia Lounge, Knightsbridge.
Situated next door to Harrods, it’s a perfect place to rest your arms from shopping bags and indulge into mouthwateringly delicious and exquisite Lebanese/Moroccan food.

... we got a chance to try Sambousek Cheese – pastry stuffed with halloumi cheese, onion and pine nuts (£6.00) & Sambousek Lamb (£6.00). I haven’t try the last one but the cheese ones were mouth watering and I would definitely order them again.

Incredible place! Been on my list for a while and I wish I'd gone earlier. The food is great, as a Lebanese and Arab it definitely felt like eating back home. Shawarma is BANGING, both lamb and chicken. You get to choose your fillings and sauces. Staff are very welcoming and the atmosphere is friendly. Infused water available. If this place was close to where I live, I'd never eat elsewhere.

Mams in Knightsbridge is an Arabic cafe that has quickly become a favourite of mine. Located in the heart of the upscale neighbourhood, Mams serves up some of London's most authentic healthy Middle Eastern street food. I recently visited the restaurant and tried a few dishes that I just had to share. First up, the mixed shawarma. This dish is a must-try for any first-timers at Mams. It features a combination of chicken and beef shawarma served with pita bread, salad, and a side of tahini sauce. The meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the tahini sauce was creamy and flavorful. The portion size was generous, and the dish was definitely filling. Next, we tried lamb shawarma. This dish was equally impressive. The lamb was juicy and tender, and the spices were just right. It was served with the same accompaniments as the mixed shawarma and was equally filling. We also ordered the Manakeesh, an Arabic-style pizza. We opted for the pesto, mozzarella, and sundried tomato flavour, which did not disappoint. The crust was crispy and slightly chewy, and the toppings were fresh and delicious. We also had the Lahmajan. It was a unique twist on a classic pizza and was definitely worth trying. We also enjoyed a bowl with a choice of protein, grain, and vegetables, topped off with a delicious sauce. We chose the grilled chicken as our protein, and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. We added quinoa as our grain and a variety of fresh vegetables, including cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion. The sauce was a delicious blend of tahini, lemon juice, and herbs. We finished off our bowl with Halloumi. The combination of flavours and textures was simply outstanding, and it was a dish that I could eat every day. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Mams. The food was excellent, the service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. If you're in the Knightsbridge area and looking for a taste of authentic Middle Eastern street food, I highly recommend checking out Mams. Thank you Zack for your excellent service and making time for us and sharing some good laughs.

What a beautiful place to stop over and have delicious food. The food here is amazing quality and served fresh right in front of you. You have a lot of options to choose from so you will definitely find something that tickles your fancy. On top of amazing food, you have super friendly staff that take their time when serving you to answer any questions you may have and to ensure you have an excellent service from start to finish. Amazing interior design, seating both indoors and outdoors. Overall, I would highly recommend to anyone in the Knightsbridge area, or to be honest even out of the area. I will happily travel to eat at this beautiful restaurant. Big thanks to Zack who was our host, please spread the word and try this place out for yourself. Oh and the drinks are just amazing, a lot of options, very yummy. Will be going back for some more. 10/10 for Zack!!

Must try! The food was not only insanely delicious but you can tell they use high quality ingredients. Their eggs are especially noteworthy, with bright orange yolks that were just *chefs kiss*. The portions are generous, and the prices are more than reasonable for the quality and quantity you receive. I stumbled upon this gem on uber eats and cannot recommend it enough. For those who love MAMS, I’d also suggest trying out Leon and Farmer J, they also fantastic choices if you want healthy, tasty and well priced food in London.
