Definitely one of the best burgers I have ever had, from NY, to London and Dubai, very few burgers come close to this! Simple but delicsss
Bleecker Burger almost never happened. It was the last entry on our itinerary for the weekend, after the three star and the trendy Thai place and shite patisserie, only making the cut because it was close to our hotel in Victoria and we needed somewhere to go for breakfast. Which, yes, it does qualify as on account of it being some meat in a bun.
Paulo Almeida
First time I came to this place it was closed due to some gas issue, was a bit disappointed as I came specifically for it... I made it back a few days later and have been 3 times since, I was genuinely surprised at how nice this burger was.
I love the flavour meat, so beefy and charred so well... I love the fact they dont use a sweet brioche bun, just an old school slightly crusty sesame seed bun, i love the decadent american cheese melted all over the patty, the fries are great too, and you can get a drink from the bar across the dining area.
If you like burgers and haven't been here... you have to try it.
dont listen to people who say these burgers arent good. the best cheeseburgers. i had one at field day when i was off my tits and ive never enjoyed a burger more. i didnt really know if a burger could be this good so i went back to bleeker st burgs this time on southbank and mate, still delish.
they dont put all these unnecessary ingredient in it, just the basics but thats all you need for a cheese burg.
and the best part is you add in your own sauces which im a big fan of. get mustard mayo and ketchup. the best trio.
We went for a walk in Southbank to see the miniature London model built to celebrate 350 years of the Great Fire. We had a Bleecker burger for lunch which was meant to be a quick stop and I wasn't expecting much but turned out quite delicious and exactly what you need when sightseeing.
It's just the right size to walk n eat or sit outdoors and eat. It tasted really nice. The fries were delicious too although both were slightly too salty hence the 4 score. Would definitely visit again!
Love this place for their simplicity in choice and quality in food! Do something and do it well! The burgers are one of the best in London!! Beef very flavours one and well cooked juicy still inside!
After all the reviews, I was really keen on trying the Bleecker burger as well. Well I have to say it wasn't memorable (I had the cheeseburger), it was in fact ok. I've enjoyed the special fries but found them too expensive for £4. If you are in the area it's a tasty burger, but not amazing. Maybe next time will try to the double cheeseburger.
Previously I'd written about Bleecker and how they are basically the most amazing thing since the discovery of fire, invention of the wheel and the downfall of Paris Hilton - not necessarily in that order. Since making their name operating out of their iconic black kitchen van, they've opened a permanent site in Spitafield Market and expanded to another in Canary Wharf. However, not content, they are back at it in a big way parking up for a temporary residency on the Southbank.
Here, you'll find all the big names including the double cheeseburger and their signature Bleecker Black (double cheeseburger with black pudding) along with favourite sides of skin-on or sweet potato chips to satisfy your addiction for the best burgers in London.
Grab a burger, find a seat and savour the feast with a backdrop of Westminster and St Pauls. If there was ever a perfect love London moment, this must surely be it.
