There is a sense of welcome when you set forth through the amazing wall garden and into the intimate relaxed eating area. We were greeted by friendly staff and although the place was buzzing with patrons the service was exemplary and staff were happy in their work. We had brunch menu of organic poached brillant orange yoked eggs on sour dough with black pudding bacon and hash brown. All hot and delicious. Coffee was excellent too. Definitely going to return. A little gem and once word is out the patrons will be queuing.
Relaxed and casual. Great service and really excellent food. It's a lovely, atmospheric restaurant, and one we'll recommend.
Lovely setting for some great food, cocktails & wine. I had the marmite éclair, the baked truffled Tunworth with pear chutney (shared) and the beef fillet steak with skinny fries and salad. I had the Nutbourne Bacchus wine which went really well with the cheese. The service was excellent and the steak was cooked to perfection.
Nice pub by the Gladwin Brothers. Went for brunch and the highlight was the service and relaxed atmosphere.
The food was delicious, prepared with care and good quality ingredients, but thought that the menu could have gone a little above and beyond the basic dishes for the price.
Nevertheless would definitely be back as great addition to Battersea. Plenty of outdoor seating space next to the river, excellent for a sunny summer day. Very dog friendly too which is a plus.
Amazing experience at Nutbourne last night. Lovely surroundings and decor, particularly loved the church stools. The food was worth every penny. Flavoursome and amazing. Particularly loved the new potatoes with pesto, they were incredible. Will definitely be back !
Absolutely gorgeous little eatery tucked away, off the high street.
Lovely decor, incredible food and amazing staff!
The open kitchen and the quirky decor means you'll be cosy and intrigued.
Our lovely tapas style starters were so delicious and the mains were perfectly cooked.
The local wine list was extra special and you must try the pink champers!
Will definitely be back!
Easily one of the best and most enjoyable eating-out experiences we have had in a long long time and gutted this venue won’t be around next year!
The restaurant is beautiful with warm lighting, particularly cosy for winter.
The food was absolutely sublime and a perfect (huge) menu! All dishes were unique takes on British food, using top quality, UK-sourced ingredients and perfectly cooked. To the point where there wasn’t one dish that our table didn’t enjoy.
The staff were brilliant. The manager Tom was not only incredibly helpful in arranging our booking and helping us choose the Christmas set menu, he was the perfect host for the evening; really attentive and helpful for every need we had. Nathan and Frank were incredibly professional and friendly waiters too.
Everything about the evening we had at the Nutbourne was over and above. Highly recommend everyone get down for a big meal before they sadly close on the 23rd Dec!
Really, really lovely spot. Had a wonderful lunch here with some quirky English wines from their own vineyard. Hot brownie with clotted cream and blueberry compote was an absolute knockout. Service was great, and all very Covid secure.
I took my brother here for his 30th birthday on the Wednesday and we had an absolutely wonderful time. On Wednesdays they were doing £1 oysters and a glass of champagne for £8.50. It’s a lovely atmosphere with great lighting and a nice location on the waterfront. I recommend having some of the starters to share, followed by a salad to share and then we had a couple of mains to share as well. The portions aren’t too huge so it’s ideal for eating this way. Lovely staff as well, I will definitely go back :-)
We just had the tasting menu which was great. Very friendly and helpful staff. Will visit again.
I have to say our visit to Nutbourne restaurant for Laura’s birthday on the 28th May deserved 5/5. From the welcome at the beginning to the end of the meal the food and service were excellent. I had Burrata as a starter and a Lamb Ballantine as a main course and Laura had the Moules as a starter and Monkfish Tail as a main course. She thought the Moules were some of the best she’d had and thought very highly of the sauce / liquor. Likewise she loved the monkfish. Both of my dishes were excellent. As we’d been to the Nutbourne vineyard in Sussex we were aware of their wines so after a glass of the sparkling Wild and a cocktail we decided to have a bottle of the Wild as it was a celebration and went nicely with the food. Highly recommend this place.
So on a bit of a wim we went in. The staff were fantastic and very helpful. We ordered the Beef which came in a massive portion and a the biggest Yorkshire pudding I have ever seen. The beef was a bit blue for my tast but we managed. So if you like the blood in your beef and the already added service charge. Go in and enjoy this delightful spot next to Bailey and sage
