We did not plan before, just ended at this place. The pizza is good, we felt really relaxed and laid back. We got a bottle of wine which was very good. I recommend that place for a lunch or dinner. I should say we had really great pizza here
A popular pizza chain of London that is kind of fine dining restaurant. They have large variety of pizza offering along with some side dish options. Taste is quite nice and different. But I guess the waiters doesn't pay much attention to each table.
So Pizza Express. I've had good times and not so good times with this chain. Luckily, more positive experiences than bad. On this occasion I thought I'd give it another shot as they had a few new recipes on the menu. I have to say, the two pizzas we chose were very good and the starters were decent too. Pizza Express isn't my first choice for Italian food, but sometimes I go for what's available in the area!
Let's not mince our words - Pizza Express is surely the best pizza restaurant-chain in the country, with fresh ingredients and a fantastic menu (that much like its ingredients, manages to stay fresh). Stylistically they have also hit the nail on the head, and this is no doubt part of the explanation of their consistent success. This particular branch of the chain is situated in the midst of the vibrant south bank, and it is testament to Pizza Express's enduring iconography that such a famed restaurant does not seem out of place in an area of London famed for its uniqueness and small-sized vendors. Pizza express is a sure bet if you are struggling for dining ideas, certain not to disappoint.

An evening well spent
If its pizza you need, you have to try this out.
They have one of the best freshly cooked pizza's with freshly prepared bases.
I have been to pizza places which use frozen bases to prepare their pizzas, and believe me they are terrible.
I have a taste london card which gives me 50% off on my total order, which I presented to the staff here and they were more than happy to accept it.

If you are fan of thin authentic italian pizza this is the place for you. nice variety of wines as well. Pizza and pasta menu very extensive.
Reasonably priced, none of the dishes over £12.
Pizzas are not very big, thus 1 pizza should be sufficient for 1 person.

This chain at bankside has a great view of St. Paul's Cathedral.
Ask for a table in the upstairs area at the window, and you will have a panoramic view of the Thames across to St. Paul's. The restaurant has an outdoor seating.
The menu offers an impressive array of different pizzas and Italian dishes, Italian beers and wines and Italian desserts.
Loved the Romano pizzas and mushroom bruschetta.
The restaurant was busy and lively as you would expect on a weekend, but the service was courteous, prompt and friendly without being intrusive.
Reasonably priced , great food and wonderful location. All in all a really good experience
Every once in a while you might stumble across one of the better branches of Pizza Express in London. This is an example of one of those. The place is very nicely decorated (which is hence how I ended up inside!). The location is also great, very close to nearby Waterloo station whilst in close proximity to the sites in the area. Of course, dough balls starters are a must and I leave it to your imagination to decide the main, theres plenty of choice!
I went here several months ago and loved it. The decor of this Pizza Express is amazing not to mention GREAT views of St Pauls and many of London's Bridges. Despite being so big and busy, the waiters were very helpful with dietary requirements. Also there were really cool bridges in the restaurant. I definitely recommend this Pizza Express of all the ones that I've been to in London. Plus, there is always an option for everyone at the restaurant.

I loved this restaurant. It is very well located, quite big so there were many tables available. The staff was very friendly. The menu had many different options, including vegetarian and vegan options. Also, all pizzas were available gluten free, which made it paradise for my sister in law. I would definitely go again!
We dined here and had such a lovely meal we were a table of 4 and had pizzas and drinks which were perfect and all came out really quickly and smoothly considering its a Saturday night. We had really friendly service from our waitress and the atmosphere was pleasant and cosy and not too loud so you could talk easily across the table. This was my second time here and second time having a great experience! Thanks very much we will be back <3
Today I went to pizza express with my family and had a fantastic time, the service was amazing and really quick by the waitress Justiana. She was so lovely all the time. The food was tasty and the atmosphere was phenomenal.
This pizza express is the best one i’ve been to! The atmosphere was brilliant and service was top notch too!! The food was great - we had to order the dough balls of course! No complaints here :))

I must give special praise to our waiter, Armir. His charisma and dedication to making our evening special were truly remarkable. He not only attended to our every need but also collaborated with my friends to orchestrate a delightful surprise, which made the celebration even more memorable. It's without hesitation that I give both the service and food at Pizza Express a perfect 10 out of 10 rating. 🍕🎉✨
A few mixed reviews here but in fairness we had a table of 5 and a really good experience for all of us. Food was hot, had the Calamari starter as well, Pizzas and deserts were good and service was great so no issues at all from us. And yes it is very big and nice and cool this time of year - I'm sure we will return. Convenient for Waterloo.
My family and I dined here in August 2023. The food was of excellent quality with good service and a good atmosphere. There was a real issue with the food, however, I can’t say anything bad in terms of this as the Manager was quick to jump in and rectify the problem and the staff couldn’t apologise enough, which showed great customer service. We completely appreciated how this was dealt with and resolved. We will definitely revisit this Pizza Express should the opportunity arise.
Good pizza (for UK standard) we had the classic version, dough balls as appetizer with the 3 butter, green and red pesto dips: quite nice.
Didn't get dessert but the espresso coffee was Italian style.
I drank the classic Peroni Nastro Azzurro beer, my partner had a decent G&T.
A bit disappointing that they don't have any beer on tap, only bottles.
Very good choice to bring a proper pizza cutter.
Service a bit slow considering it was a Sunday afternoon, there were 4/5 waiting staff and the whole time were there most tables were empty.

Such a lovely experience and ambience! Seating for 200 people! Busy restaurant (for good reason) so please be patient. Armir was such a busy yet kind, friendly & attentive waiter. His service was great. The food was amazing and me and my friend stayed for over 2 hours on a Wednesday evening! Definitely worth visiting.
