Solid traditional pub in the theatre district. Comfy and pleasant on the inside, and there's a couple of tables outside to the front (covered). Small but solid range of cask ales at reasonable (for London!) prices. Nice staff. Good option before or after your play/musical.
Cosy pub with good atmosphere and reasonable prices. Very much enjoyed! Recommended.
Spent a quiet afternoon here waiting for a matinee show nearby. Many tables were reserved but had start times attached so were available beforehand. Reasonable selection of drinks on sale, both bottled and on tap.
OK the decor is showing its age, but I don't fixate on the floor that much.
Staff were friendly and quite talkative as it was not at all crowded. The ordered pork pie was delivered with the advice that it was better eaten cold. Apparently, locals have taken to asking for them to be heated. Me neither.
Cider, gin and pie were good to go, but we stayed for another. Like this place.
