Great little place in Clapham to eat. Quirky place, friendly staff, nice ambiance. The food is very tasty and the cocktails are lush too especially when they are 2 for 1. I would recommend it to families, couples, friends.
Really good food and service. Would recommend. I had a pasta dish which was good but pizzas looked amazing!
Eco is a popular Italian restaurant in Clapham and has been around for over 20 years. For a neighbourhood restaurant that manage to last such a long time can only mean one thing, it has a loyal local following and the cooking is value for money. I love a good old fashioned Italian meal and the menu at Eco looks really tempting, from a selection of classic antipasti to pizza and pasta, just how real Italian food should be. The sourdough bread here really stood out, it had a really impressive lovely soft texture.
The chilli prawn starter is a must try for any seafood and spicy food lovers, the powerful chilli and tomato flavours on the plate really brought out the sweetness of the prawn. The avocado and rocket bruschetta is also another solid antipasti dish, the buttery and peppery flavours worked like a treat on a piece of finely grilled bread, not to mention the quality of the olive oil was outstanding. The prawn and salmon spaghetti had a wonderful creamy texture, silky smooth and cooked to the perfect level. My favourite dish on the dish has to be one of the special menu on the night: The San Daniele risotto. The earthiness of the wild mushroom worked wonder with the sweet and nutty profile of the much celebrated ham, on top of that, it had the freshness and crispness of the asparagus offer a lovely contrast to the richness of the parmesan, it was really an enjoyable risotto.
Less impressive was the stonebass, the seasoning was lacking and the garnishes of caper and olives were a touch too strong which overpowered the fish. Beside that, overall Eco has done a fine job in dishing out some very quality classic Italian cooking, nothing fancy or creative, just proper Italian food at a super reasonable price with bags of flavours. There are still plenty of the dishes on the menu I would love to try so I will definitely make a return when I am near Clapham again in the future.
I’m sure you all know by now that I adore Italian cuisine, but I hadn’t actually visited any Italian restaurants nearer to where I live, now that I’m south of the river. A week or so ago, I was kindly invited to try out Eco in Clapham with Ceri – I’d driven past it a few times and it had always looked really cosy and inviting, with a big orange pizza oven in the middle.
Eco is a nice neighbourhood pizzeria. Trendy decor and good pizzas. Differently from most pizzas in London, they do stretch their pizzas really thin like in Rome. Service is slow and stretched at its best. Still good pizza!
Just came from here ordered 3 starters two mains and two sides with soft drink. Two people and the bill was only £42. Service was great and the ambience well suit to the type if food. Definitely as good as you think.
Good Pizza. I've been coming to Eco on and off for the past few years as I love a great pizza and the one's here are no exception. Plus the atmosphere is always really good, and generally the service is too though sometimes the staff are a bit too over friendly for my liking
Best pizza I've had in ages! Staff were very friendly and service was very prompt but not pushy! Atmosphere was relaxed and the place was clean and decorated well! Will definitely be going back very soon!
There is a very strong connection between the best pizzas in London and the owners of Eco in Clapham the Wassif family. In fact the owners of Eco today were owners of the site of the original Franco's Pizzeria in Brixton Market (in it's time the best) tha

Fresh Italian food for a decent price. Awesome salads. Nice calzones. Good ambiance and perfect decoration and location. I will come back for sure.
Eco Pizzeria is one of Clapham’s local favourites.
It was established on Clapham High Street over 20 years ago and has created a fiercely loyal following from locals and visitors alike.
The family owned restaurant has been recently renovated, with its walls being taken back to their original red brick shell dating back to when the building was originally built. The combination of modern and rustic interior design creates a welcoming atmosphere with Italian roots present throughout. At the heart of the restaurant is a handmade, wood burning oven decorated in brightly coloured orange tiles. This guards the open plan kitchen adding to the authentic pizzeria feel.
But pizza certainly isn’t the only thing Eco is cooking up.
Homemade rosemary and chilli oils top each table to allow a custom made burst of flavour to be added by each diner.
This homemade chilli oil filled with dried chilli flakes really packs a punch. Although it is absolutely delicious, taste at your own risk as it is seriously spicy!
I first tried the restaurant’s special of pork cheek with mashed potato & red wine jus.
The meat was sumptuous and tender with incredible flavour combined with creamy mashed potatoes.
An incredibly decadent dish that was far from anything I’ve tried at any other pizza place in London.
To accompany such a hearty dish, I thought a fresh, light salad would go nicely.
Summer dieters, look away now as this was far from your couple calorie dinner dish.
An asparagus and poached egg salad with baked sourdough topped with melted mozzarella, pancetta, baked mozzarella wrapped with San Daniele, mixed leaves and house dressing was a naughty but delicious combination.
The ingredients paired perfectly and the flavour was outstanding.
A proper salad if I’ve ever seen one!
Sitting in the presence of a roaring, wood burning oven makes it almost impossible to not order a cheesy, hot pizza. The combination of smoked aubergine and pepper with burrata, baked garlic and basil pesto was simply irresistible.
Fresh, melted burrata is my dream pizza topping and it went beautifully with the smoked aubergine and peppery basil pesto.
Dare I say, this may be my new favourite pizza combination.
Although I was filled to the brim, it was insisted I try the restaurant’s best dessert of triple chocolate mousse.
Having put up a real fight as I always do when it comes to dessert, I gave in.
Layers of milk, dark and white chocolate mousse where beautifully spread on top of a biscuit base and topped with a tart, sweet strawberry.
Several spoonfuls of this was more than enough as it was incredibly rich, but so good.
Overall, this was a great find.
A cheerful little local spot with great food and lovely interior.
A great treat to Italian. Not sure if it is the most authentic though but it's affordable and the portions are great. The beef lasagna was great I had enough for the next day, fries fresh and hot and the calamari plentiful but abit too fishy tasting for me. I would revisit Eco the food is served hot and the service is friendly.
Food was very good, but organisation for the 30th anniversary was poor. The restaurant had run out of all desserts before 3pm but no-one mentioned this until I tried to order one (as it happened I did order a starter, but I could easily have been planning to have main and pudding instead). Also my starter and main arrived at the same time which was apparently because they were so busy, but at 3pm there were plenty of empty tables so this seemed a weak excuse. The pizza was excellent, but the occasion as a whole was a little disappointing.
The best place in South London! I had four seasons pizza with truffle oil which is out of this world!
I’ve celebrated my birthday. Valeria and Laura made it super special making us feel like home.
Also great place for happy hours before your meal!
Thank you guys!
A special thank you to the wonderful Valeria who raced after us along Clapham High Street to give me my mobile and glasses which I’d left on an outside table at Eco, just before we disappeared down into Clapham Common tube station. Absolutely amazing service, would have given 7 stars if possible! Nice pizza and wine too.
We went there 2 times during our stay in clampham. We ate pizza and it was delicious and the service was suberp. We can highly recommend the pizza the noodles we did not try but they also looked delicious.
Good service but at the same time very pushy as they were busy so they wanted us to leave after we have finished our meal. Pizza was good but it used to be better a few years ago. After last big refurbishment this place is not as it used to be anymore.
I had the goats cheese and pesto pizza and honestly it was the best pizza I’ve ever had! So much flavour and so big!
Can’t recommend enough :)
Pasta and Pizza 🍕
Simple dishes done well and responsibly priced.

Absolutely delicious pizza and lovely staff. Only drawback - it is very noisy! I like a buzzy atmosphere, but it was so loud it was hard at times to have a conversation. The food was excellent though, and extremely good value.
It was pretty decent. The place itself is super nice (recently refurbished to a high standard) and the atmosphere was good, at is was very busy. The starters, however, were very expensive for their sizes and the pizzas were nothing super special. The service took a really long time; likely constrained by the pizza oven capacity! We will return to give it another go.
