Great and fresh food ;)))
My recently discovered favourite place to eat. Authentic, delicious, homemade Vietnamese food cooked before your eyes. The staff are friendly and the place itself is clean, homely and quite spacious despite looking small from the outside thanks to a small garden and a large downstairs dining area.
I recommend the Bahn Mi sandwiches which offer a variety of fillings in a distinct Viet style. If I bring one back to the office before lunch time I get jealous glares all-round. 5 stars on all counts; if you're not feeling a Bahn Mi don't miss the opportunity to get one of the other authentic Vietnamese dishes - I think the most tragic thing I've seen was a builder looking at the menu for 5 minutes to finally decide on an egg n' cress sandwich.
First Timer. Visiting family in Camberwell, and having a spare morning, we had a strolluntil caffeine withdrawal symptoms urged us to find the nearest non-instant coffee destination...Cafe Bay was the first to catch our attention - and we can recommend the good, strong coffee, the salmon and cream cheese baguettes and the chocolate croissant.....ideal lunchtime snack - clean, fresh decor, quick service, realistic prices....

We came in and had my first ever Pho experience. The lady who made it for us was very welcoming and made us feel at home. The flavours and atmosphere transported me to Vietnam. Would also recommend the Vietnam coffee and bahn mi, both were fantastic. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a taste of Asia. Thank you 😋
Have been here a few times and have tried their chicken curry dish and the vermicelli. Food is good and tasty. Have only visited during lunch hours and it is usually busy. They have seating inside and downstairs. Don’t expect a full blown restaurant that’s why it’s called cafe. I believe the chicken curry is precooked so don’t be surprised if it’s heated in a bag and put over the rice.
I had a vermicelli salad with prawns and a viet ice coffee. The vermicelli salad was really fresh and the prawns were super yummy. You can taste the fresh herbs, lemongrass, and chargrilled flavour.
The food is delicious at a very reasonable price. One of the best Vietnamese food places in London!
London's best Vietnamese restaurant, in my opinion! For the special and rare beef pho, I go there every Saturday. The hand-made beef balls are juicy, the rare beef is very fresh, and the broth is really divine!

The grilled pork and rice was juicy and a great portion size. The spicy pork banh mi was fresh tasting due to the vegetables used , perhaps there could be a bit more pork but it was nice regardless. The viet beef stew was very nice too, the meat was soft and tender. The service was incredibly fast , our food came out in 5 minutes. This is definitely going to be a regular new spot for me.
Grilled pork & Vietnamese filter coffee (hot/iced) became my favorite go to order ever since i tried it about 4 years ago. Recently tried their pho and banh mi and it was very tasty!
Food is always in point! We normally get the Grilled Pork & Beef with Rice with a Fried Egg! It is comfort food and the sauce that comes with it compliments it beautifully. Highly Recommended!
An unassuming front window, hides a large high ceiling, bright and airy dining space. The outdoor tables are generous and ample space for you and a couple of friends.
The star of the show at the Viet Cafe is of course their Bánh mì. Many search London high and low for the perfect Bánh mì and I’m confident that this place has one of the best, if not the best in South London.
The spicy pork Bánh mì is an absolute joy with each bite and the flavours and spicing is really well balanced.
The pork was cooked superbly and it melts in your mouth. For £7 it’s great value and probably works better than a therapist if your mood is low, because it will lift you into a feeling of euphoria.
Needed a quick lunch before visiting a friend at King's College Hospital. Lovely cafe with friendly staff. Excellent summer rolls and rare beef pho. We will definitely come again when in the area.
