Nico's Acropolis Taverna

Been following Nico and Dee on their taverna journeys for 32 years and their food has never EVER disappointed us.....superb evening once again tonight with my hubby....such generous helpings, bought half my dinner home! Excellent service and ambience.....nice Greek music.......thank you both for all the years of friendship and support, you will always be family....Love Madeleine (Ranger) xx xx

Been a chef for 30 years much travelled but found Nicos on my doorstep after moving to South London . I was well impressed with the service,the professional approach by staff on a busy Saturday night. The food was great loved the starters & great choice & plenty of them main course was also brilliant & lots of.presentation was excellent I could it fault it even though I tried just watching my partners face as she downed her dessert was a picture in itself. Deffo go back with out question .& a few heads in the industry will be keeping an eye. Well done & thank you for a great night. Sorry forgot to thank all the Chefs you are the unsung Heros on a memorable night. Great team work. Excellent food keep up the good work your bosses must be proud. € give you lots of bonuses lol wishful thinking but your all worth it in my eyes so again thank you 😀

I have been at this restaurant many - many times since I was a student (arround 1997) hence my opinion could be discriminatory. However the owner (Nikos) was/is en exceptional person and this counts mostly for me. Besides the quality of the ingredients (i.e meat) is very good and always fresh, which can justify some high prices. I visited sidcup few years ago (married with children) and many thngs from my beloved old neiborhood had change. The first thing I did was to visit the restau. Unfortunatelly was closed! I did 1.500 miles and it was close :( . Last but not least, this restaurant is a worthy representative of the Greek cuisine and worth your time.

We attended the tribute ( Frankie Vallie) night last night A large group of 18 of us Wow wow is all I can say , what a fantastic night , food was great , staff very attentive and a fantastic atmosphere throughout the Everyone joined in with the singing and dancing We will definitely be going again Thank you to Nico and all the staff

We went there as a family of four and loved it. The food and service was exceptional. I ordered the Kleftiko, my husband ordered the Soulav and our sons ordered the rack of rib - and we all enjoyed our respective meals. My husband and I also enjoyed a bottle of the best of Greek Sauvignon Blanc which was only £19.95...the food was reasonably priced and tasted wonderful. We'd definitely go back for another meal. Totally recommend it, especially for lamb lovers...the Soulav and Kleftiko are both slow cooked lamb dishes.
