I recently was placed in charge of planning my works Christmas party and stumbled across this venue online.
Never having planned a party of this size I was overjoyed when Helena told me she had it all under control. The interior of the club space is gorgeous and we were able to arrange the space as we liked which allowed for a lot of freedom as to what our theme could be.
The food was incredible and the service was quick and friendly throughout the night. The whole evening was tailored completely to our taste and we had a fantastic time! I'm sure we will be back soon.
One of the most popular after work venues in the city. This place is usually packed with workers looking to grab a drink after work. Therefore, venue is usually very lively.
In terms of food they have individual mains but we usually go for one of the sharing platters. If you're really hunger go for the classic board the burgers and sausages will fill you up. However, if you don't mind sacrificing a bit of quantity for quality go for the cheese board.
Being conveniently located between Moorgate and Bank station this seems to be one of the favourites among City workers for after office drinks as this place is almost always packed.
I had been here with work colleagues for drinks and nibbles. Staff here is quite efficient and managed orders well even during rush hours. I only had nibbles and they were quite good. The pub also serve regular pub menu which includes fish n chips, burgers etc. Only thing which bothered me is the loud music as it makes it difficult to talk. However, I would still recommend it for its location, good food and 'Happy Hours'.
Since the Gable has re-opened I have arranged several lunches there with work colleagues and after work drinks & nibbles with friends (and gained a few pounds!). The decor is so inviting, warm and quirky, its hard to leave!
Gable staff are very efficient, accommodating and friendly. The food is always well cooked to your liking, plentiful and above average; no complaints there!
The private dining rooms (each has its own theme) are great for social gatherings and working business lunches that require some privacy.
There is a great vibe on Thursday and Friday nights, especially downstairs in the red lit-up booths. It's a great place to unwind at the end of a long working week so you MUST pay a visit!

Really good place. Great atmosphere and great staff. The only reason I have it 4 instead of 5 stars is because the bar staff could move a little quicker and scan who's next and waiting.
However I'll definitely be going back.
Great venue with a great vibe not to mention a generous happy hour. Bar and security staff as always are very professional. A BIG thank you to all at the Gable for making our Flying Solo singles event the success it was.
A good quality pub food place. Nothing impressive. Nothing really bad
Out a couple weeks back with some friends at this place. First time and will defo be back soon. Met one of the staff in the downstairs bar called David who made one hell of a tropical cocktail and was very welcoming to my group. Great service is always a win for me. Hopefully David will be there next time to make that cocktail for me 👌🏾
Nice to be back at the Gable since lock down is over. I'd forgotten about this place and was reminded today and went down for a great lunch and a couple of drinks.
Highly recommended for getting out the office without a huge price tag.
The evenings hopefully are as good as I remember with a DJ Thursday and Friday night.
Great buzzing vibe, staff were brilliant, gave us a free bottle of prosecco for my friends birthday, looked after us in our booth. Loved it
Attended a birthday bash here and it was fab. Great venue and staff. Food was great and the bar is spacious and can accommodate a good number of people. There's a dance floor downstairs with a bar. DJ sets up in red telephone boxes! Loved the place as did many other people.
