We were looking for a quick lunch and came across the China House. The staff were super friendly and the food was Big portions, good price and very tasty. Would definitely recommend.
Visited China House with friends last Wednesday evening. I have been telling friends about our experience ever since. The greetings and the service was 1st class. I asked the manager for advice on what to eat & he explained dishes to me & made some excellent recommendations. The food was very tasty & great portions. SUPERB. The prices were moderate, I was expecting to pay much more. My whole experience was absolutely FANTASTIC. I have been raving about them ever since. I recommend this restaurant to everyone.
We had ordered the buffet at the restaurant and were glad with the taste of everything on the menu. The meat was soft and the starters were delectable. The pancakes were also delicious. The sizzler and the rice were sumptuous and savory. Th steaks are a must try too. The toilets are a mess though.
I do not understand why people would give this place negative reviews. With its tiny, cosy and beautiful interiors and amazingly affordable prices, there is nothing to complain about. The menu offered is quite extensive and has a huge variety. The lunch menu only costs about 5.5 pounds which is very fair for the quality offered. I recommend this for a good meal for very reasonable prices.
This place is close to where we live, and we have often seen a lot of local Chinese people eating here, Which is indicative of the quality of food here. We tried it out, and I must say we weren't disappointed. The food was really good, and we had a memorable dining experience here. Everything from the starters to the desserts were amazing, and authentic.
I had dinner at this place just a few minutes ago, and we have come out really pleased and satisfied. They had delicious food. The decor is a little outdated, and the greetings are also too informal for my taste, however, this is not an upscale place for having special occasions. We ordered the dick and the black bean sauce, and also had some chicken. All the meat was succulent, fresh and flavoursome. It was evident from the quality of the fried rice with egg, that the dishes were freshly prepared, an the portions were generous.
If you're looking to get a quick bite and don't feel like a burning a hole in your pocket, this place is the place for you. For a meager sum of money, you get a large portion of some of the best authentic Chinese & Cantonese cuisine and the staff is really helpful and friendly.

The food was fantastic we enjoyed everything. It was clean and had a good atmosphere. I would recommend you give it a go. Did I say the food was excellent? Well worth a visit as reasonably priced to even for a northerners... :)
You really do get what you pay for. This is a GREAT little place to go to on a budget or when you just don't feel like cooking lol. The place is clean, the food is good and it is great value for money. I agree with other posters who have mentioned you get better service from the gentlemen than for the ladies. That being said, do not expect great service from a place that offers £4.50 lunch meals. Let's be realistic. You want great service you go to fine dining restaurants.
Very tasty authentic Chinese food with fast service.
Have been too this fantastic little restaurant twice in 4 days. Love it! Excellent friendly service. Meals come out super quick and are up to a very high standard. (And lots of it)

Worked in the Restarant last week repairing Windows and the staff were really friendly. They were so friendly in fact and the environment was so welcoming that we decided to stay for an afternoon lunch. The food was amazing and definitely will be going back there again soon.

Really great service, food tastes fresh and staff explained the menu in detail. I travel down from Newcastle every other weekend and always try to visit here. Try the salt and pepper spare ribs, they're absolutely delicious! Would definitely recommend this restaurant
Very friendly and efficient family business only too willing to please. Our favourite dish is crispy duck with pancakes. The take away service and food is excellent value for money and very tasty.
Great food, service and prices. Family friendly and very cosy place. A great find since we are staying in the King’s Cross area. Our kids can be picky and they were really happy with the food. We would definitely come back again.
Taste of Asian Cuisine in UK is really a surprise to me and my wife. Spicy deep fried pork（椒鹽骨）is great and hard to find this taste even in HK and Macau. Favor is about heavy comparing to Canton style. Service is friendly. Overall fantastic.
