This is my first time visiting Sarang and I came here not only because of its location (just opposite to the tube station) but also due to its broad menu as it serves korean-chinese food such as Jjajangmyun (짜장면) and Tangsuyuk (탕수육) etc., which is hard to find in other korean restaurants here in the UK. Therefore I gave it a go, despite the fact that it's a bit pricey. I ordered Jangban Jjambong (쟁반짬뽕) and Tangsuyuk (탕수육). The portion size is fairly generous I would say, but the Jangban Jjambong is very oily and obviously loaded with tons of chili oil (the dish is not spicy enough though, only has a mild flavour). This is the only negative part of this entire meal luckily, as the Tangsuyuk is well-cooked and the deep fry batter is surprisingly thin. Moreover, there are lots of seafood like squid and prawns in the Jangban Jjambong which is great. Also, the lady (assuming she's the boss) is very friendly and welcoming. The food came fast and hot as well. I will definitely come back again for more unique korean cuisines but I wouldn't order the Jangban Jjambong again.
Great place! You get a lot for what you pay for. Only thing that's negative is that their English is not very good but that didn't really matter, they made up for that with their friendly and attentive approach.
It was an amazing food experience! The food is delicious and staff very caring and sweet! I am not used to eating spicy food so my blood sugar dropped really low suddenly. The staff said they didn’t have any sweets but offered me other options that helped and even gave me rice and some oranges on the house. Definitely will visit them again when I’ll be in London!
Thank you so much <3
Mum recommended this restaurant as I have been looking for a Korean BBQ for a while.
We arrived a little early for our reservation and they sat us early. The service was great.
We ordered: Kimchee, Shigumchi Namul, Good Mandoo, Beef Ribeye, Seawoo gui (for my dad), pork, chicken Katsu, yangnyum chicken.
The food was really tasty and the BBQ conception was great they came to do the cooking and we could do the cooking too..
The pork was really tasty and flavoured well. The beef brisket was soft and tasty. The chicken on the side made it even more special the food was filling.
I would highly recommend the food. The atmosphere is great to for the size of the restaurant.
One of the best Korean restaurants I’ve been to!
Recommend booking a table if you want to go during the weekend as it gets really busy and the place is small.
We got their set B bbq which includes beef bulgogi, dungshim (beef rib eye), daeji bulgogi (marinated pork) & beef tongue.
We also ordered their jajangmyun and seafood dolsot. Their dolsot I highly recommended; I would say it’s my favorite dish!! Love their cold plum tea as well!
The service is great. Everyone was really friendly and welcoming! They also cook the bbq meats for you and give you a complimentary small plate of oranges to finish off your meal! 🍊
I was craving for real korean food for sometime now, so had to visit this place. The place is really small but serves authentic, tasty Korean food. I was so happy after having a meal there, it was like soul feeding.
As I mentioned it is a small place, do book your table before visiting. If all the tables are full you may have to wait or return. But please visit this place if you are a Kdrama fan or want to try korean food.
Amazing experience.. BBQ was full of unique flavours, Sweet and sour chicken was just heavenly and rest of the dishes we had tried were all really great. Highly recommended and my family wants to go back to try more dishes... which is a rare quote from my wife ;)
Great restaurant!
Food was really good and arrived very quickly.
Staff were very friendly.
I definitely recommend going for some Korean food.

I recently had a quick stop at Sarang for dinner as I was waiting for a coach to arrive at Golders Green station. The service was excellent and the staff were extremely friendly and courteous. They were quick to accommodate me and the food was quick to come. I had a pork and rice hot pot dish, which had a perfect level of spice for me and was filling at a very reasonable cost. Salad and orange slices were provided on the house! Highly reccomend!
Great food! Authentic experience. As good if not better than some Korean restaurants in central. Staff were all friendly and all Korean. Servers helped cook the BBQ and were quick and efficient. They also gave us free ice cream and oranges despite specifically ordering the ice cream already! Kimchi jjigae was good. Homemade kimchi was delicious. My only criticism is the portions are not very big. I didn't leave super full but the quality of it made up for it. They did tell us that the BBQ set is 1 and a half servings in advance. Would definitely recommend a visit.
An exceptional Korean BBQ place! Welcomed by friendly staff who took care of us throughout the entire culinary experience. The food was just delicious. I have experienced a variety of authentic Korean flavors. The ambiance of the place is very simple yet pleasant. Great food, good energy. Must visit. Ahh, and yet another thing... This is probably one of the few restaurants I have visited recently whose menu is adequately and reasonably priced. I will be back for sure!
The food, especially the BBQ set was absolutely delicious. They really marinated it in the right sauces. The BBQ set was £24 and is meant to be for 2 people but it was just enough for one person. They should make the amount more or reduce the price. The seafood pancake was also really good. The staff were very helpful and polite.
