Baker & Spice - Chelsea

Visited again recently to discover their new and improved menus. With some 20 salad options, great meat and vegan dishes together with some very tasty artisan breads, this place just gets better. Top quality ingredients reflected in all their food. A very cozy place where you can catch a great lunch, just a coffee or a damn good breakfast, be it porridge, muesli, croissants or pancakes with bacon and honey. Their coffee espresso is intensely rich and chocolatey, and add the impressive Latte art creamy milk for a little extra indulgence. You've got to love the girls running the place, they always bring a smile to my face - beautifully formidable; furrowed brows and chiseled scowls, efficient and inimitable, no 'have-a-nice-day' robots here. You pay for the consistent quality. As a frequent customer I am bewildered by some of the absurdly unfair reviews posted - yes, occasionally, as in life, service stumbles - yet you remember their past triumphs not the blips along the way. Rare slips judged with unconsidered reactions by occasional visitors will always falsify the greater context. Loyalty is taking the good with the blips and appreciating the daily effort made to bring quality and character to the forefront. Was here on opening day, and it's still going strong. I must say that my family and I think that Baker & Spice Chelsea is an Absolutely fabulous addition to Chelsea and Knightsbridge, A cosy warm Home from home eatery that has a fantastic new menu that is suitable for Meat lovers and Vegetarians and Vegans., we can’t resist their fresh daily baked croissants and huge selection of pastries that are served from 7am. we all are frequent visitors for Breakfast and Brunch and I often bring my friends and business associates there for gatherings and meetings. The bakery is managed by a lovely chap called Leah who is very bubbly and very helpful and he gives a very personal experience to everyone who comes through the doors, and I must say the staff are wonderful and friendly and always smiling even when they are so busy which is most days, and I am very impressed when they call you by name and remember what you like to drink. Wonderful experience with 5 star quality ,and a home from home friendly service Ps. I have to say I can't vouch for the service offered for eating in as ive always had take away food. The staff has always been lovely, friendly and accommodating. Lovely people! The food is always outstanding, very fresh and delicious. Lovely dressed salads, delicious roasted veggies, roast been cooked to perfection and beautiful roasted beef. Not to mention the gorgeous pastries and breads that are made daily in their own bakery. Unfortunately I'm always in a hurry and wasn't able to take pictures that do justice to the food. If you enjoy delicious food, you must try this place. Trust me, I know food and this is definitely cooked to a high standard!
