Bouchone Racine(upstairs at the Three Compasses) The absolute best French cuisine in London! Rustic and finesse rolled up into one, interesting dishes from around the different regions of France and all handled by a very professional staff. Can't wait to go back....booking is essential.

WOW, what a find, I'll be back . . . . let me start. . . super atmosphere, its cosy, and a buzzy little spot, with all walks of life there, couples enjoying the view on the terrace and groups in the main body of the restaurant, the food is delicious and reasonably priced along with the wine which they have a bottle for all tastes and pockets. We had a mix of dishes, the Chicken Liver Pate was to die for and one of my favourite starters, along with the Asparagus and cheese, yum, the mains I loved were, the Lamb Rump, and the Magret de Canard, delicious - we started with Negroni's and moved swiftly on to the vino, all in all it was a wonderful experience which I'll try again on my next visit to London. Thank you to all the team.

🚇 Farringdon 🍺 £5.70 Moretti ❤️ A simple Farringdon station pub. . The Three Compasses sits opposite Farringdon Station and with the introduction of the Elizabeth Line getting here couldn’t be easier. . This is a simply built pub which has a balcony leading off from the upstairs restaurant. Inside the decor is also simple with light walls, wooden floor, a good size bar area and a deep red ceiling. I was surprised at the size of this boozer, from the outside I was expecting a small cosy affair but this is a big one bar pub. Around the pub there are TV’s which show live sport, the layout here makes for good viewing positions. The seating is a mixture of poser tables of regular tables and chairs, there is plenty of space for larger groups wishing to stand. . My choice of alcoholic beverage was a pint of Moretti which was decent and just under six quid, my visit was a couple of years ago so I would presumably stick 10% on the price for a visit today. There are a couple of cask options for real ale drinkers and an advertised wine list if you’d rather have the grape than the grain. The food menu consists of juicy burgers and tasty pizzas, there are also baguette’s for those wanting something lighter to eat. The reviews I’ve read recently for the food here are very positive. . I visited early on a Saturday lunchtime on my way to see The Arsenal and it was quiet as the pub wasn’t long open. I was served by a nice member of staff who was welcoming and courteous. This pub does get busy after work hours due do it’s proximity to the station and surrounding offices. . The @threecompassesfarringdon is a simple traditional pub which does the basics very well. This pub is surrounded by historical boozers and has stiff competition from some local top notch hostelries. This pub may not have secluded booths and victorian architecture but it does have good beer, serves hearty food and has a great social space, definitely worth a visit. . ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 29/08/20

The review is for the recently opened Bouchon Racine upstairs. The food is good , seasonal ingredients , British and French dishes all well seasoned and well prepared. The core du beouf was really good same as the picahna. The creme caramele from the dissents is a must. Relaxed service and normal prices for the area. Would go again and recommend!

Dined at the recently opened Bouchon Racine upstairs in the The Three Compasses. I can't recommend this place enough. Amazing menu (we actually ended up getting a third main between the two of us because there was so much that sounded good). Everyone at the restaurant is super friendly. You can really tell the chefs are cooking what they want. Will 100% be returning!
