Marco was the absolute best member of staff. He made our visit fabulous. It was my friends birthday and we went here for drinks. He treated us like kings and queens we stayed there until they closed and just before they closed he made sure we had a good evening double checked if we needed to use the loo before we closed, plus the loos were clean. The best customer service. Also £5 single mixer and the best chips ever crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Highly recommend.

Was quiet when I went but much friendlier than I'd expected and the beer was reasonably priced. No curry sauce for the chips though cost them my dinner money and a star!

A lovely pub tucked away on Askew road. Very welcoming friendly staff. Great selection of drinks on offer and a varied, interesting menu. A lot better than many in the area. Well worth visiting.

The beer garden is amazing, very comfy chairs. The outside area is great too, but obviously not as good as the beer garden. And the inside is great, but I have not found sockets to charge the phone, which is odd. Maybe I didn't see them, I don't know. I had first chips, then the courgette, and calamari. Good portions and well seasoned. I'm used to eating with no salt whatsoever but still, that food was not over seasoned. Actually my friend had to add a bit of salt and pepper to her mac&cheese. If it weren't for the sockets thing, it would be a five no doubt. (If it's my mistake, apologies guys!)

Wow. What can I say; this place is great. Went with fam for Sunday Roast… soooo good. Wish they had a bit more beer variety, but other than that top notch. The rear beer garden is the main the highlight of spring/summer days. See you there!

I absolutely adore this pub. It's a real hidden gem of London bars. If you could build the perfect pub, it would look like The Eagle. Great food and drink, top class staff, lovely chilled/comfortable vibe and big back garden. It really is one of the best pubs on earth.

Updated review!! One year on . I really can't fault the food and the staff, even when I was there a lady praised the chef for accomodating her specific food allergies , they are obviously very happy to work there with smile's and attention to detail. Which radiates throughout the whole pub , giving a great atmosphere. I had the chicken Kiev which was delicious and a friend had the fish and chips, the pictures speak for themselves, empty plate's. I've been to one of the quiz nights which was fun and very entertaining, in my opinion a great night.
