Discovered Le Chamarela few years ago and been ordering Mauritian Biryani (tried chicken, beef and fish) over the years for birthdays/family gatherings. This time we ordered the special fried noodles. When we came to pick up, my boys were starving in the car so we sat down and had the dhall puri (yellow pancakes) each and it went down a treat. It was nice and warm on a cold day and brought up nice memories of my teenage years eating dhall puris by the roadside in Mauritius! The noodles were ready at the appointed time (ordered the day before by phone) and they were lovely for the party

Feels like you’re almost in Mauritius! The staff was very welcoming, the restaurant is clean and the dishes were made fresh to order. We had rotis, curry and fried noodles, with garlic sauce! The food was made with fresh and authentic Mauritian ingredients! If you are looking for a little piece in Mauritius in London, I recommend having a meal at this restaurant.

The octopus curry here is a culinary masterpiece. Combine that with the friendly staff and easy navigation on maps – an unforgettable dining experience!

Great tasting Mauritian food, very authentic. Prices are fair and portions are good. Friendly staff. There are places to sit and dine in but seems like more of a takeaway place.

Tried a couple of Mauritian restaurants in the UK and nothing comes close to this. I had Fried noodle, Halim, boulette poison and chicken briyani all tasted delicious. This place deserves more recognition. Its a shame we live so far away...

Service always slow but nice food and expensive but cost of living gone up I suppose. Someone said about being mixed that's nonsense I'm mixed and never had an issue here they always been pleasant. They're obviously just curious and maybe you were being over zealous going on about Mauritius when you don't look it. I have cousins that are half Jamaican that do the same thing always tryna prove something.

We ordered catering for a 40-person event, and the food was excellent. Both Mauritian and non-Mauritian guests alike loved the food. Great service, thanks to Aneesah

The snacks was absolutely delicious. But the noodles was a bit burned. It had that over char burned taste it leave an aftertaste to the mouth. I think next time the chef need try to not over cook the vegetables. Price is reasonable.

Came here for a family meal, tried a lot of traditional Mauritian dishes. For starters we had gateaux piments (mauritian falafel) and gateaux arouille (sweet doughy fried balls) for starters along with dhall pourri (traditional bread)- all were really tasty. I had the Poulet Mine Frire (chicken fried rice), which brought back childhood memories! My family tried the biryani, this was the only let down as we found that it didn't taste authentic. For dessert I had Poudine Mais (Corn Maize pudding) - this was the highlight for me, it was beautifully done. The staff are helpful and very attentive too, thank you for a nice experience all round.
