Had a very nice evening at the Light of Gurkha last night. Food was of a Nepalese influence and very nice. I went for a noodle based curry but having sampled each of the other 3 dishes ordered by my friends I can safely say I'd have enjoyed any of them! Decor was very nice and the downstairs with the view into the kitchen and the pristine toilets gave me the satisfaction that hygiene was paramount for this place :-) Would visit again

Absolutely incredible food. We've tried many Indian restaurants in Balham and this one simply beats the competition hands down. Tasty food, not at all greasy and really prompt delivery. Highly recommended.

Had a great curry at the Light of Gurkha last night. Food was fantasic (Lamb Butwa was a winner) & they have bottles of St Peter's Golden Ale alongside the Cobra. Will be returning very soon!

The menu had a mixture of Nepalese and British Indian cuisine. Those we tasted were rather good. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Nice little place in Balham. Even though I could only eat the vegetarian food there, it was certainly tasty and worth another visit back. Value for money is excellent.
