Great place great managers
Great selection of drinks, especially the beers and gins!
Me and the lads of the Columbo Appreciation Society ( London Chapter) were on our Annual Knees Up, and I suggested we kicked off at the College Arms, with it’s handy location minutes away from Soho! As ever I was greeted warmly yet knowingly by the charmingly appealing manageress Alex. Drinks appeared without delay and we soon took up position in the Mezzanine level bar overlooking the main bar area below. This is a perfect spot for a group both allowing one to feel very much a part of the hustle and bustle of the bar while still allowing a degree of separation. It has a television showing Sky Sports etc as well. We had a great couple of hours up here with frequent forays to the bar where the service was always prompt yet friendly. All my fellow Columbans agreed with me that we give the College Arms a Big Thumbs Up.We shall be back next year Livers permitting !
I love a good sharing board, although I do not know how much of it I actually shared. I had the British style tapas although I don't think they offer this one anymore. Was nice to try something different.

Good small sized pub. Plenty of televisions showing live sports. Good beer options available and deals on too. Crossing the line between a bar and a pub. Directed towards students definitely.
I went there to watch women’s World Cup final between England and Spain. The pub was packed but there were so many screens to watch the match from.
Nice pub!
Never ate here. Popped in for a drink as a group of 5. Drinks were all cold and refreshing. Nice clean atmosphere with a cracking bar. Wasn't too busy as was afternoon. Can imagine it being a hit in the early evening when all finish work.
When am in area will definitely go back
Excellent prices, good value for money. Excellent drinks, good stop
🚇 Goodge Street
🍺 £5.80 Moretti
❤️ A vibrant contemporary pub away from the madding crowds.
.
The College Arms is located in a leafy side street on the border between Fitzrovia and Bloomsbury just off Tottenham Court Road. There are five tube stations close by with Goodge Street being the closest, it’s only a five minute walk to get here. If you fancy a bit of sightseeing as part of your visit here, why not take a gentle stroll around idyllic Bedford Square and marvel at the Georgian buildings.
.
This pub is housed in a simple building and was probably built in the 1930’s due to to the Artdeco design of the windows. I like this pubs frontage, even though it isn’t in keeping with the upper floors, it is very inviting and has ornate columns at either end.
.
Inside there is a contemporary and quirky feel with lots of details to catch your eye. As you walk in to the pub on the right hand side is the bar, it has a tropical feel to it with washed timbers and ivy strewn around the edges. Opposite the bar are poser tables and a tiled wall explaining the beer making process on it, at the rear of the pub is a raised area which has comfy sofas and is divided into more intimate seating areas. For the sports fans there are six large screens, most screens have good viewing positions. There is also a downstairs bar which is available for hire.
.
The beer choice was pretty good, there were all the usual favourites, 2 cask options for cultured drinkers and lots of rotating craft options for the more adventurous. I went for an old favourite of mine a Moretti, it was a good pint and cost south of six quid. As this was my last pub of the day I was in need of some sustenance and ordered some fish & chips. The food was great and reasonably priced at £13.50. The menu here is American style with burgers, pizzas, wings and lots of comfort food choices. This pub is part of the Stonegate group of pubs which means you’ll always find loads of food and drinks deals and promotions on here.
.
The service here was great, the staff were upbeat and courteous. I visited late afternoon on a Saturday and there was a relaxing vibe with a dozen or so punters in attendance. Due to the pubs proximity to University College London and other seats of learning the crowd is generally a younger one and this place livens up at night.
.
From the outside @thecollegearmspub looked as if I was in for a ordinary pub experience but this was not the case. This pub has a mixture of new and old and has a vibrant contemporary interior which makes for a pleasant pub experience. My food and pint were great and not overly priced which in central London is a wonderful thing. If you’re in and around The Tottenham Court Road area and want to get away from it all then head over to The College Arms, you won’t be disappointed.

📊 Information correct on visiting 28/05/22
This place was brilliant! I ended up finishing off their rhubarb gin, but nice friendly staff. We managed to get a table, and ordered some food - the Korean chicken wings were excellent, and had a really nice flavour (nigella seeds adding a new dimension). They also have a couple of games available to play (dominos/monopoly). Recommended if you're in the area 😃
The burger looks amazing, In love with the barbecue sauce. Love the choice of chips or fries.
Edit: Taste as good as it looks
This is a long overdue review - a large group of us (20 people) visited College Arms on Bank Holiday Monday 29 May for a social outing and play board games. We had a fabulous time and everyone loved the place. The venue was nice and cozy with very relaxing atmosphere, perfect for our group. The team of staff were absolute stars - very friendly, helpful and accommodating throughout our stay (we were there from afternoon till late night) and made sure we had a good time. Great thanks to the team on the day: Gabriella, Daisy and Chris (I am bad with names so hope I got everyone's name right!). Really appreciate all your help on the day, and we will definitely be back in future. :)
Stumbled upon the College Arms by chance on this very warm evening. Ordered our drinks and sat on the upper section as the footy (UKR 1 - ENG 1) came to an end, awaiting our food.
Although the beef patties hadn't been delivered today, the chicken burger replacement was very nice with all the trimmings. The veggie pizza was good - we had it without the advertised 'drizzle' and it was good to be able to taste the fresh ingredients without any additional [and unnecessary] pesto oil. The craft beer I had was tasty and suited my pallet at 4.5% ABV.
My only gripe was it was very warm inside as clearly there's no AC. If this is too difficult or expensive to install, I would recommend the addition of some ceiling fans. This will make for a much more comfortable experience for the clientèle. Some 'fresh' air inside and especially at the back would be welcome.
I wish the team at the College Arms well with their ongoing venture.

Hidden gem of a pub!
Recently had a late lunch here after a long afternoon walking around museums and could not fault this place on anything.
Great selection of beers, ciders and gins. They were serving a new menu that looked so good it was hard to choose. I got the hotdog and my friend got fish and chips. Both delicious dishes - the hotdog was flavourful and tangy, the inclusion of two types of onions was genius; the fish was sizable and melted in the mouth, enhanced by a perfect tartare sauce.
The staff were friendly and attentive which is always a plus.
The atmosphere was relaxed and sociable. A perfect place to meet up with friends or take a date.
Another thing to note is that they are dog friendly.
We will definitely be returning!
