Great place for maps, flags, travel guides and more. I love having a browse at what’s available. I use click and collect through their website if I’m after something specific.

Great independent book shop just off seven dials. Specialises in maps, travel, and geography related books. If you're looking for travel books, you will definitely find it here. Nearly the whole bottom floor is dedicated to them, along with maps. Picked up two great political geography books and a couple of potential next holiday spots. There is a lovely little cafe on site, too.

Treasure trove of travel related books, maps, globes, gifts and inspiration. You can lose yourself for hours browsing or run in for that hard to find esoteric detailed map. Nothing is too much trouble for the very knowledgeable staff. Wonderful shop even in its new location.

Still London's best travel bookshop. Everything you need and so much you never knew you wanted.

Like the best museum gift shop you have ever been to. Upstairs is a stationary style shop with books, journals, toys, postcards, tote bags, sporks, calendars etc. Downstairs is any map or travel guide you could possibly need. I could spend hours here and it’s definitely a must if you’re looking for a London keepsake. I want to fill my house with things from Stanfords. Lots of products you would find on study inspiration instagram pages.

Wonderful book store specialises in maps and globes, and books about discovery and journeys. There is kid’s section and plenty of interesting little gifts to be found. A café with seating inside and out. Quite and off the beaten path.

I used to love the old Stanford's, but the new smaller version is good too. Great for the regular travel guides, but perfect for that something a bit different and a map, if you're still partial to a bit of paper.

One of my favourite bookshops in London. It has a solid selection of popular fiction and non-fiction releases, but it really shines as a travel book shop. Their map selection is also very impressive. I couldn’t help but stock up on flags ahead of Eurovision…

If you’re looking for a map, you’ll find it at Stanfords. 🗺️ But you’ll find many other things too. This book shop has a variety of maps and travel guides 🧳 for all parts of the world (mostly on the lower floor). It even has some travel supplies like fold away raincoats, travel mugs, locks for bags and the like. The ground floor holds what feels like an endless amount of cute, unique gifts (books, notebooks, stationery, board games, themed plasters, playing cards, wooden postcards and more). There’s a cafe ☕️ inside too, with seating both indoors and outdoors. It’s a lovely store to sit down and do some reading/ work or explore the aisles of products you’ll find yourself thinking, “I didn’t even know I needed that.” The staff are friendly if you ask for assistance but will leave you to wondering around by yourself too. ✅

Lovely specialist map shop with a small coffee shop too. Lots of various maps and guide books with some excellent gift ideas for both young and old. Currently no lift downstairs so not suitable for wheelchair users. Only just opened in the new location but already busy and welcoming.
