Can't believe no one's reviewed this place before. Expertly cooked fish and chips in this proper traditional chippy which, from the certificates on the wall at least, I understand has been owned and run by Chris since around 1969. It doesn't look like it's changed much either, with most of the original features and a massive old fridge which has probably been there from day one. Had absolutely delicious haddock and chips and it's also very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back. Well done Chris on nearly 45 years of successful fish and chipping!

Have been driving past this place for years now and finally intrigue took and stopped by. What can i say? I was greeted with a welcome and a potted history of Chris’s expertise in the fish & chip industry. I”m glad to say the final product more than backed it up, as the haddock was amazing with a crisp thin batter; the scampi and chips were great too. Its Good Friday today and we’re praying Chris will be open tonight.

Like stepping back in time and visiting a 1960/70s old fashioned chippy. That is meant as a compliment. Loved this place. The owner is really welcoming and friendly. The prices are excellent and the food was really tasty (plaice was awesome). The food takes a while because everything is cooked to order but this is definitely my new local!
