The Crafty Cafe

I started coming to this cafe about 7 years ago as it was round the corner from my house, i had a 3 year old and 2 month old baby, my 3 year old was given colouring to do while we waited a short time for food, the owner was very welcoming and friendly... food was amazing and the hot chocolate out if this world... sharon is an amazing member of this community and will bend over backwards for anyone, this cafe has been a saviour over the years for me and my children with personal experiences I’ve been through....I popped in yesterday to find out a few individuals have taken offence to a little sign that the majority of people laugh at and take no offence to apart from a couple of sad individuals, the poster has a picture of 2 smiling children who are pink might I add and said ‘naughty kids will be sold as slaves’ it’s a shame that 2 snowflakes have now tried playing the racist card and are spreading slanderous accusations!! before you jump on the band wagon and leave horrible messages please come into the cafe and see for yourself what it is like, it’s an amazing clean cafe with amazing food and full of stuff for children to do eg colouring, arts, crafts and toys to play with... along with holding fundraising days to raise money for different charities... I couldn’t fault this cafe at all and recommend it to everyone I know... brilliant family friendly cafe and the owner who hasn’t got a bad bone in her body!! Keep up the good work, you’ll always have my custom and support x

Its a poster - get over yourselves. How on earth do you cope with life? You must feel personally victimised everywhere you go, how do you feel in shops that sell slogans and not-quite-PC stuff én masse?? Funny how these nasty posts have all arrived 'a day ago' and before that there is nothing but praise for this beautiful cafe..my daughter and I love it here, easy peasy friendly and healthy! Don't bat an eyelid, the Crafty Cafe is wonderful.

Well for a woman that has helped me raise my children one of which is of Mixed Race Half Being Ghanian half white and raised her own children running a cafe and always having an ear to listen to anyone and help anyone... to be called a racist and to say the cafe of 10 yrs where she has been robbed, rudely abused, property stolen, repair have been made because people cant read sign, cares for her elderly dad, and yet put up a sign asking not to put wipes down a toilet they cant possibly read but yet they can take the time to take a caption on a card that does not state a race that is an assumption someone can make is far from pathetic... but yet this woman is still there for the community always trying to look for new ways to keep things going for everyone and the food is amazing, my kids still beg to go back now, i cant believe one person wants to get one bad experience with theor time at the cafe and take their keyboard warrior hands to it and try and ruin what a hard working woman has put together for years! So yes this is the perfect place to take one and all and i know if i walked in that door today she would still know my order off by heart and have it ready for me exactly the way i like it...even after being moved away 2 years and only going down for odd free time visits.. keep up the good work sharon...x

I can't believe the comments I'm seeing for The Crafty cafe it's disgusting.. I have known the owner of this cafe for serveral years and there is not a racist bone in her body I myself have mixed race Children and she is nothing but warm and welcoming towards them as with every other customer that walks threw her door whether it's a adult or child. This cafe is a great place for all ages and anyone is welcome. #greatfood #familycafe #Lovelylady
