We hogged at this place, literally! We ordered the duck which wasn't very great, tom yum soup was good and authentic to taste. Seaweed was cold and chewy did not enjoy it at all. The lamb was very delicious and best in the menu. Would surely recommend this place.

Chaotic but Delicious. We ate here on a busy Saturday night. It looked nice from the street so we ventured in. We were led downstairs to the basement part which appears to be a host of little tunnels and a large open space. It was almost packed to the rafters here. They were a bit slow in taking our order but after they did the food came out quickly enough. As we ate we noticed lots of people beginning to wait which is a good sign. The majority of people eating were Chinese (though this is Chinatown) which is another good sign that the food should be authentic. It was all a bit chaotic down there but we loved the food we had and ate our fill.

Good address for daytime dim sum in Chinatown.  Service is usually quick in Chinatown, but it was cheerful and friendly here too.  Not a beautiful place, but modern and clean.  Dim sum served until 17:00.

Quality of the dim sum is a cut above average.  We were really  impressed with the shell fish cheung fun and dumplings.  Often, shellfish dim sum have mangled scraps for filling, but that was not the case here.  Prawn dumplings contained large whole prawns.  Similarly nice big chunks of scallop in the cheung fun.    I also liked the bean curd skin spring roll, which was a bit unusual.

Nice attention to detail, in that different dipping sauces were supplied for different  dishes.  The bean curd skin spring rolls came with a tangy tamarind based sauce, and the paper wrapped prawns came with a sweet chilli sauce.  There was soy sauce on the table and we had to ask for chilli oil and vinegar.

The only dish I probably wouldn't order again was the fish congee.  There were nice big chunks of sea bream in it, but the broth was not particularly tasty.

During one of our visits to the area, my companions and I decided to dine at this establishment. Upon arrival, we requested a table for two and were promptly seated. Opting for one of the set menus, we were presented with a generous portion of delicious food that was both hot and satisfying. The service provided was also commendable. I highly recommend giving it a try.

During our recent visit to New China, we indulged in a delightful culinary journey filled with a variety of flavors and textures. We started with the Dim Sum Platter and proceeded to savor the Beef Stir Fry with Honey Pepper Sauce, BBQ Pork, and Szechuan Noodles with Chicken. Here's my humble review of the experience: To kick off our meal, we decided to explore the Dim Sum Platter, and it was a delightful way to begin our culinary adventure. The platter showcased a selection of bite-sized delicacies, each steamed to perfection and bursting with flavorful fillings. From the delectable shrimp dumplings to the savory pork buns, each bite was a delightful surprise. Moving on to the mains, the Beef Stir Fry with Honey Pepper Sauce impressed us with its tender slices of beef cooked to perfection. The sauce struck a harmonious balance between sweet and savory, enhancing the overall flavor profile. The addition of crispy vegetables added a delightful crunch, creating a satisfying combination. The BBQ Pork was another standout dish, with its succulent and well-marinated slices of pork. The meat was tender and infused with rich flavors that left a pleasant lingering taste. The accompanying sauce complemented the pork beautifully, adding a tangy and slightly sweet note. We couldn't resist trying the Szechuan Noodles with Chicken, and we were pleased with the bold and robust flavors it offered. The noodles were cooked to a perfect al dente texture, and the Szechuan sauce provided a satisfying kick of spiciness. The tender chicken pieces added protein to the dish, making it a well-rounded and flavorful choice. Throughout our dining experience at New China, the service was attentive and friendly. The staff provided helpful recommendations, ensuring that our meal was enjoyable and tailored to our preferences. The cozy atmosphere and welcoming ambiance further added to the overall experience. If I were to offer any suggestions, it would be to consider adding more vegetarian or seafood options to cater to a wider range of dietary preferences. Additionally, providing a variety of spice levels for the Szechuan Noodles would allow diners to customize their desired level of heat. In conclusion, our experience at New China was a humble delight. From the enticing Dim Sum Platter to the flavorsome Beef Stir Fry with Honey Pepper Sauce and BBQ Pork, as well as the satisfying Szechuan Noodles with Chicken, each dish showcased the culinary expertise and dedication of the kitchen. We left the restaurant with contented palates and a desire to return. New China is a worthy destination for those seeking an authentic Chinese dining experience in London’s Chinatown.

I live in Central China and the food here is as close as it gets to authentic Chinese food for all regions of China, absolutely wonderful food, and the staff there were very welcoming and friendly! Highly recommend!

Great food and really helpful with gluten free amends for coeliacs. Very busy, so service can be slow at times, but overall I would recommend.

Wow. Special friend rice “Yong Chow” was delicious and perfect balance of flavours. Vasta our waiter was great and quick to serve us with drinks. He recommended a dish called braised pork with soy sauce. This dish was my favourite. They have almost 200 dishes on the menu, would love to try them all. We will be back

Very nice food. However our appertisers arrived after our main courses. So we had all our food on the table at the same time, getting cold. I have never eaten a Chinese meal like that before. Seemed odd to us. We took a lot home in takeaway boxes.

My partner and I stopped here during one of our visits to the area. Asked for a table for two and we were quickly offered to sit. We chose one of the set menus and it was quite a lot of food. Hot and really nice overall. The service was also very good. Recommended.

I really like the hotpot here. The ingredients are very fresh and the bottom of the pot is very fragrant. Eat it with some dim sum and you will feel full every time.
