This classic British icon never fails to deliver even when put under pressure from inconsiderate users. We visited the cafe at Covent Garden, conveniently located across from the tube exit to grab a quick bite. We had burger (with cheese and bacon), fries and coffee plus Halloumi Burger, sweet potato fries and a coffee but £10 ish... great value for centre of London and the food was fabulous. Full of flavour, thick juicy burger all made fresh and cooked to order in front of your eyes...... what's not to like. Our only issue was the way the cafe was set up for take-away style cups/bags etc which would usually be ok apart from the amount of untidy rude transient people of all background treating the store like a drop-in centre where you can just purchase coffee down the road and sit-in leaving a pile of rubbish around on the floor /table etc. We didn't feel that this was a fault of M&S hence 5-star review. Their staff were clearly and pleasantly well trained.

M&S Wonderful resource in the middle of Covent Garden. Great selection of food, drink and clothes. Staff are always helpful, but does get very busy, especially during the lunch hour. Picked up some amazing bargains in the lead up to Christmas as they had a half price sale. First port of call, when I want to purchase a new shirt, tie etc. Sad, if the rumours are true, that M&S will be closing next year.

Amazing to have this large and well stocked shop right in the heart of Covent Garden. You can buy almost any food or drink you might want here. There's also a seated area for eating sanwiches, salads, wraps etc. Great for buying theatre or cinema snacks. Also open on Sunday - very handy for getting that bottle of wine to take to dinner!

American opinion here: fine grocery store but heavy on grab and go type food instead of individual ingredients like in US. Guessing that's pretty normal for Europe type grocery stores but honestly only went to the one while I was on vacation. But it always had what I was after food wise. Skipped the clothing side.

The Marks & Spencer Food Hall is a must destination for foodies. They have the best selection of pre-prepared foods, perfect for a picnic or a temporary stay in an apartment. We had panko-crusted chicken tenders that rivaled anything I've ever made from scratch or eaten in a restaurant. I don't usually like couscous, but the one here was so tasty. If you don't cook or need a break from cooking from scratch, this place is for you.
