Hap Lee in Norbury is a very good family run Chinese restaurant that has been present for over 30 years. Up until 2018 the restaurant had occupied two shop fronts, but due to the downturn and increased rates/rent it is now only a single shop front and concentrates more on takeaways. Despite the reduced size of the establishment the food from Hap Lee is as good as ever. I recommend the salt and chilli squid / prawns, seaweed, beef and black bean sauce, Singapore noodles, Kung po prawns and special fried rice. Lovely 😜
A nice local little Chinese restaurant. We've not been here is ages and decided to pop in one day and as usual the food was delicious and the service was good, it was a busy evening too.

Most delicious Chinese food I've had in a long time. Writing this having just been for a weekday meal for a birthday celebration and felt the need to leave a review because I enjoyed it that much. Spice levels were perfect and service was great!
Our family favourite. Have been getting take away from this place for nearly a decade now. Very reliable and good value for money. The preparation and delivery times are also quite nippy. It's good enough for a celebratory sit down dinner if cash is a bit tight as well. Customer service is also very good.
Basic restaurant setting but the food was absolutely delicious. The salt and chili squid was cooked to perfection. The batter light. The squid lovely and moist. The duck in black bean was just as good. I'll definitely be back!
After having gone here for years since I lived in the area it's hard to find such a homely restaurant anywhere about. I guess it's true what they say that everyone thinks their local Chinese is the best however this is far from 'local' to me but it is still the best that I'd travel an hour to come here. Can't wait till Covid ends so I can continue eating at my favourite place again

I have eaten all over asia and must say this is authentic schezuen cuisine. Not only that but the service is great; super fast and delicious! I would especially recommend it for large groups as the pricing is very reasonable. I have paid upto 10 times more up west for the same dishes with poor results. HapLee always has my recommendation!
This is our family's favourite Chinese place, the food always tastes fresh. It has great flavour .. the veggies are delicious...good portions as well!
Dined with a friend, lovely food and will definitely come back. We had squid and dumplings, special fried rice and chicken curry with aubergines in black bean sauce.
