Surprised by how it turned out considering the bad reviews I had read about it.
Food was lovely, very big portions. I had the duck pancakes and the sweet and sour pork. My friends had the chicken noodles and meat dumplings. It was all delicious and came very fast.
Service could have been better, hard to find a waiter at times but they were all very nice otherwise. Atmosphere is what you would expect of a Chinatown restaurant.
Last Saturday we wanted to eat in China Town, and just randomly selected this restaurant as it looked cosy and clean. Usually we don’t have high expectations when eating out like this, so it came as a massive suprise how good the food was. Everyting was tasty, very fresh, staff was lovely, very polite. I had a tea, which was served in a traditional small cup, we had tom yum soup, noodles and my favorite- the enoki mushroom and beancurd with jasmine rice. Honestly we couldn’t get enough, we left the place very full and very happy. For me it was a bonus that all this before they closed. Still good service and still amazing food. Thank you Team, we will be back!
Great price/quality ratio ! Not only were the prices slightly cheaper than other restaurants, but the portions were really generous and the food absolutely delicious ! I went there for dinner and service speed was adequate, and servers very kind. The only thing I would recommend is perhaps changing the number of pancakes for the 1/4 roasted duck from 6 to 9. Anyways, I would totally come again, I had a great night !
Best Chinese I've tried in London, original and very flavourful. Not your standard Chinese menu. Really good quality, really friendly staff, and pretty reasonable price for the location.
Recommend strongly, get a few dishes and try a few different things.
Forget about the rating, I suggest you to try it ✌🏼

I don't know if there's been a change of management or something but seeing some of the bad reviews for this restaurant had me checking photos to make sure I wasn't about to review the wrong place! I do not recognise the criticisms at all.
The service was good and the food delicious. It came relatively quickly too. We ate the cheapest set meal A and had more than our fill. Rice was excellent and the sweet and sour chicken as good as any I've eaten over the years. Crabmeat soup was really tasty and I recommend it. Total cost for two including drinks less than £40.
Biggest crits were the fact that when it says set meal for one and that it is a minimum of two people they don't mention that you all have to order the EXACT SAME choices from the options. That's annoying. Other niggle was that when it came to pay the bill it took an age to get attention to point out they'd missed a glass of wine. I should have just paid less and gone earlier! I'm too honest though and, frankly, I've never seen staff working so hard. They deserve their pay.
Overall, very reasonable price for a popular Chinatown restaurant and the food is very good indeed. I would go again.
We got a table without booking first on a monday evening at regular dinner time.
We had the vegetarian spring rolls as starters and they were a 10/10. As mains we had egg fried rice with fried vegetables and crispy seafood noddle.
The main food itself was kind of bland and didn't come at the same time. All in all the servers were nice but they mostly all stood together in front of the bar and watched the guests.
Meal sizes were perfect, if not even bit too big. I would for sure give this restaurant another chance😊
It’s always a bit of a fuss trying to find a new chi ease return to to try in China town, especially when you’re vegan! We ended up with one+ and we were not disappointed! The price seemed a tiny bit high perhaps but we ordered a lot of food. The dumplings were spot on, the flavours were clear and definable all very tasty! Large pot of quality tea and the service felt really Ali’s back and accommodating unlike a lot of the other places here.
Worth checking out for sure!
Delicious food that filled me up. Had an amazing time and the staff were lovely. I don’t understand the bad reviews, as I didn’t experience anything like this. Food came within 10 minutes of order and was fresh and delicious! Recommend.
